Chapter 481 - A Gathering

A week later.

Grimm met up with another Level-3 Great Demon-Hunter Sorcerer that possessed the Sorcerer’s will.

The two legions of Abyssal Demons numbering tens of millions had a terrifying scale. Yet, they were all summoned by merely two Sorcerers. It was almost unbelievable.

Layers upon layers of Abyssal Demons were screeching at each other. But in a brief moment, they had formed up and were circling around the eight Sorcerers.

From afar, the terrifying army of Abyssal Demons caused fear and disgust amongst the Acraepoids of the Infernal Spirit World. Within the legion was the dark, mysterious leader of the demonic Sorcerers.

Solumn, Wicky, Millie, and Claudia were at ease. They stood by Grimm’s side. Little Myna, flushed with beautiful green and red feathers, perched on top of Grimm’s shoulder. Along with Grimm beneath his Mask of Truth, they looked at the three Sorcerers who were flying from a distance.

It was worth mentioning Solumn.

Although he was torn to shreds by the powerful Acraepoid Noble, he reappeared mid-air after the battle.

At that moment, Grimm could definitely feel the ripples of an unknown void world.

The three Sorcerers in front were all Level-3 Great Demon-Hunter Sorcerers. Their auras were filled with a sense of wisdom and mastery that belonged to an Elemental Sorcerer’s.

Of the two Level-3 Sorcerers who were standing at the sides, one was a male and the other one a female. One had a Rank-3 Honor Badge; the other had a Rank-2 one. Their strong elemental ripples were like strings of ribbons that pulled energies into their Sorcerer’s Barriers without stopping.

There was a green-skinned frog croaking in the palm of the Sorcerer. His face was sickishly pale. His eyes carried an air of ruthlessness.

The Sorceress had a pair of dark wings behind her. She was from a rare breed of Black Elemental Sorcerers. Her black hair was like the black flame on top of the Acraepoid’s head that burned profusely.

The Sorceress seemed to sense something puzzling at that moment. She looked confused as she looked at Grimm and scrutinized the Level-1 Sorcerer who had a Rank-1 Honor Badge.

Unquestionably, it was the mysterious source of Dark Energy that had triggered the Sorceress’s senses.

The Level-3 Great Demon-Hunter Sorceress in the middle was capable of summoning Abyssal Demons. She was riding on a huge cobra snake that was hissing and spitting its tongue out. Her hair was made out of tiny snakes. Her pair of brilliant red eyes sent chills down their spines.

“Sorcerer Grimm?”

The Sorceress who summoned the Abyssal Demons asked in a hoarse voice. Her mouth opened to reveal two long, venomous fangs.

Grim was trying to recollect the names of the nine Sorcerers who held Rank-1 Honor Badges in this expedition from the records of the Battle Command.

The nine Rank-1 Honor Badge Demon-Hunter Sorcerers and the six Stigmata Sorcerers made up a total of fifteen people who were capable of summoning the Abyssal Demons. They led the legions of Abyssal Demons to clear up the mainland that had been affected by the great quake.

The great quake was the combined effort of the six Stigmata Sorcerers and tens of thousands of Bright Sorcerers. They were able to locate the weak points of the plates of the continent after exhaustive planning and had carried out massive magical arrays to attack the weak geographical bases. That was how they set off the first cataclysm of a global scale.

From the intelligence that Grimm had received from the Battle Command, the great quake this time around had impacted about one-twentieth of the Infernal Mainland. The result was absolutely devastating, accomplishing more than what they had planned.

“Greetings, Great Sorceress Messiah. These are my friends: Solumn, Wicky, Millie, and Claudia.”

The five-man strong team of Sorcerers bowed to the great Level-3 Sorcerers that had a head full of snakes as per the Sorcerers’ etiquette. She was a great Sorceress with great potential to becoming a Stigmata Sorcerer.

The great Sorceress nodded.

Messiah glanced at the other four Sorcerers and nodded lightly as if she had no interest in the low-level Sorcerers at all. She looked at Grimm like how a senior would view her junior approvingly.

“Since we’re here, let’s clean this place up together. Have you met any Acraepoid encampment that was difficult?”

The Sorceress asked casually to show concern.

Grimm nodded.

“A week ago we definitely found an Acraepoid encampment that gave us some trouble. But luckily, the Abyssal Demons were able to wipe them off.”

After the two massive groups of Abyssal Demons had formed, the two of them chatted in a relaxed manner while giving out orders to the legion of Abyssal Demons.

“This world shares some similarities with the Sorcerers World. Once their numbers have been lowered to a certain level, more and more talented warriors would rise up and resist heroically.”

The Sorceress Messiah must have met some difficult Acraepoids to be able to come up with that statement.

Yet, she smiled gently.

“However, the World Lord of this world did not christen a hero who could change the world.”

Little Myna was intrigued. It quipped, “Caw caw, the First Acraepoid King has not fallen yet. Who knows, a miracle might happen.”

Little Myn’s words were ironically deafening.

Nineteen days later.

Unless the First Acraepoid King were to appear with the hopes of all the citizens of his divine kingdom, none could resist the joint abyssal forces of Grimm and Messiah. No Acraepoid in this world could prove to be a worthy adversary to them.

The massive army of Abyssal Demons was everywhere, wiping off Acraepoid encampments one by one.

The great quake might be a huge catastrophe to the beings of the Infernal Spirit World, but to the abyssal denizens of this world, it was a rebirth.

From now onward, the land was to be the source of Abyssal Demons, where the Abyssal Moss took its root the deepest grounds.

Grimm and Messiah’s joint Abyssal Demon forces met up with another huge legion of Abyssal Demons.

The three Sorcerers gathered for a while and started exchanging maps and intelligence. They marked down landmarks before parting ways and resumed to wipe off any remaining resistance in the area.

Six months later.

After clearing up the quake-hit mainland for six months continuously, the massive army of Abyssal Demons gathered in a place called Mount Zylon.

There was no end to the Abyssal Demon in sight. The creatures enveloped the whole mountain. They were so packed that even the wind could not pass through them.

In the skies and on the grounds, there were armies of Abyssal Demons everywhere that were attracted by the Sorcerer’s will. The further in, the more concentrated their numbers were as if a wall had been formed.

None of the creatures dared to approach the peak of the mountain. A terrifying presence was emanating from the eleven figures.

Excluding Dark Realms Stigmata Sorcerer, Enigmatic Stigmata Sorcerer, and Bone Bell Stigamata Sorcerer, there were twelve other figures who were gathered there. But Grimm’s presence was too insignificant compared to the other Sorcerers. That was why only the presence of eleven people could be felt.

The space around Black Isotta was collapsing as he laughed in an eerie and raucous manner.

“So, I believe everyone here has adapted to the beginning stages of abyssal summoning? I want everyone to hand in a report on your views of the abyssal summoning. Now, about taking down the First Acraepoid Kingdom, the final place untouched by the Sorcerer’s will. We’re setting the date at six years from now for the time being…”

Beyond the mountains, Solumn, Wicky, Millie, and Claudia held complicated feelings.

The tens of Sorcerers who were congregating in the tight space enveloped by these massive Abyssal Demons were the main powers of the expedition, the true masters that determined their missions.

It would not be far-fetched to say that the Infernal Spirit World could change the fate of the world if they were able to kill all the Sorcerers in the enclavement!

“So, what do you think the Sorcerers in there look like?”

Millie asked suddenly. Her eyes were filled with wonder.

“Hmph… we are all curious about that. Even standing there, listening to the discussion between the Stigmata Sorcerers about the mission progress would be an extreme honor.”

There was a hint of jealousy and bitterness in Wicky’s words.

Centuries ago, Wicky had fought with Grimm before. He was someone that Grimm could not defeat. But the tables had turned. Now, he did not even have the same privilege to stand alongside Grimm.

“Heehee, a Rank-1 Honor Badge that allows one to receive the attention of the Principal Will of the world… what a great item that could allow a Demon-Hunter Sorcerer to climb up by leaps and bounds…”

Claudia mumbled to herself enviously.
