nShe was fine until Gu Zhao mentioned it. Now, she really needed to use the bathroom as well.

nLi Ran’s eyelids twitched as she said, “Why don’t we wait for Wang Gang to return before we go?”

n

n

n“But sister, I can’t hold it in any longer.”

nGu Zhao had a troubled expression on his face. It was obvious he was at his limit.

nIn the end, Li Ran drove her car with the lights on and parked near the bathroom. Then, she got out and said, “I’ll go in and take a look first. Once I make sure it’s safe, you can enter. It’ll only take a while. Zhao Zhao, please hold on just a little bit longer.”

nYang Shao decided to accompany Li Ran.

n

n

n“It’s pitch black. I can’t see anything…”

nBefore he could finish his sentence, the room suddenly lit up. He became speechless.

nLi Ran was also stunned. She stopped in her tracks and they looked at each other. Both of them were equally confused. They froze and dared not take another step.

nZhao Ying was following from behind while holding Gu Zhao’s hand. She saw what had happened and said in surprise, “Maybe the backup power was activated. Zhao Zhao could not wait any longer. I’ll take him inside.”

n

n

nWith that said, she carried Gu Zhao and walked into the bathroom.

nGu Zhao’s little face was turning red. He had held it in for a very long time.

nLi Ran placed her hand on her waist bag. She braced herself and entered the bathroom.

nAt that moment, Wang Gang ran over from a distance while panting heavily. He had noticed the situation from far away. It worried him so much that he instantly returned.

nWhen he caught up with the group, he let out a long sigh.

n“There are no zombies over there. I couldn’t sense any movement at all. This place is very quiet. Only the machine over there would make some noise from time to time. I’m quite sure that there aren’t any people or zombies around.”

n

n

nLi Ran nodded.

n“I think this bathroom’s light might be voice-activated.”

n“Let’s go in and check. There’s no point in just standing here.”

nWang Gang took the lead and walked in fearlessly.

n‘This man is ridiculously brave!’

nYang Shao followed closely behind and sighed helplessly.

n“If Brother Wang died, he probably wouldn’t even know what caused it. Without my brains, he would have been long gone.”

n“Did you warn him every time?”

n

n

n“No,” Yang Shao answered without a shred of guilt on his face. He absolutely did nothing wrong!

nLi Ran stopped the conversation there. She followed Wang Gang from behind and paid full attention to their surroundings.

nUnexpectedly, there was a big mirror inside the bathroom. Since the outside was very dark, the mirror gave off a scary vibe.

nThe mirror was clean. There was not a speck of dirt on it.

nIt meant that this place had not been attacked by zombies. If it did, then someone had cleaned up the place. The water in the sink had not dried up.

nThey were in the ladies’ washroom. It made Wang Gang somewhat uncomfortable. He quickly took a glance and observed everything inside.

nThe floor was so clean that he could see his own reflection. Even the walls and door were spotless. The abnormality made the bathroom’s atmosphere creepier than ever.

nWang Gang checked each of the stalls one by one.

nEverything was so neat. It was as if a person with obsessive-compulsive disorder had tidied the place up.

nWang Gang shook his head, indicating that there was nothing wrong.

nYang Shao had a serious expression on his face. He gestured for them to check the men’s bathroom.

nWang Gang nodded and went to the men’s bathroom directly.

nOther than it was spick and span, nothing else seemed to be out of place. Nobody was around and the water was still running.

n

n

nIt was really strange, but none of them could explain what was going on.

nLi Ran asked with a blank expression, “Why don’t we just relieve ourselves first?”

n
