chapter 15

n“What should we do?”
nTaesan hesitated after Gyeongwan’s question.
nTaesan knew exactly what his status like more than what he thought.
nIt looked like he didn’t plan when he doing things, but in fact, he knew his limits.
nHe wouldn’t be in a dilemma if the guy hidden with the blood smell in the darkness was only one.
nHowever, the problem was that there were two guys.
nThe guy who lost his arm yesterday and another guy he brought along with him.
nThe guy who lost his arm was far. Perhaps Gyeongwan didn’t sense him either.
nThe guy closer was stronger than the guy who lost his arm.
nHe had stronger force and quality with a more bloody smell.
nStill, Gyeongwan could handle one of them.
nIn the past, he was not sure but now he can.
nThe problem was the other guy.
n“Well… We can handle this.”
nAfter analyzing, Taesan ordered Gyeongwan, “Go and kill.”
nThe order to kill made Gyeongwan and Yoo intimidated.
nHowever, Gyeongwan became calm and nodded his head.
nThen, he dashed.
nRip!
nThere was a fierce sound inside the darkness.
nYoo looked surprised.
n“There was one.”
nWhy couldn’t she sense it while they were hiding just over there? Even Gyeongwan and Taesan realized someone was hiding over there.
nYoo’s vision was heading to Taesan.
n“Look over there, not me.”
n“Sorry?”
n“It isn’t just one guy.”
nAt that moment, Yoo felt chill on her back.
nShe swiftly took her sword out.
nSomebody was approaching quickly. It was so quick that if she wasn’t alerted, she would have been attacked.
nStab!
nYoo quickly swung her sword so she couldn’t put all of her energy into it.
nStill, it was sufficient that she blocked the counterattack.
nYoo was hiding Taesan and she looked at the opponent.
nIt was the guy who lost his arm yesterday.
nThe guy began to smile. As he fought with Yoo, he found out about her abilities.
nHe didn’t have an arm but he thought he could fight her.
nHe didn’t need to win. He only had one goal.
nThe guy approached again.
nStab!
nYoo desperately defended the guy’s attack. Then, the guy was trying to attack any point.
nIt seemed like an intense battle as the guy held a slight advantage.
nYoo knew that so she was becoming anxious.
nIf Gyeongwan didn’t come back after fighting the battle over there, she thought she might struggle to defend Taesan.
nHowever, she will somehow defend him.
nThat’s because Harin wanted him.
nYoo’s sword moved roughly and quickly.
nThe guy pretended to defend the attack and actually put out less power.
nNaturally, he was pushing behind.
nYoo aggressively charged forward for an attack.
n“Tsk, the ones with a lack of experience are obvious in such situations.”
nTaesan’s voice coming from behind awakened Yoo.
nSomething popped up below the feet.
nIt was a small flame.
nIt was a trap set up by the guy. Of course, it wasn’t to harm but to distract someone.
nThen, Yoo perfectly fell for it.
nThe guy naturally moved off to Yoo’s side.
nYoo stabbed guy’s back by swinging the sword.
nStab!
n‘Too weak!’
nYoo made an urgent face and forcefully twisted her body and ran.
nThere was a cracking sound all over her body but she didn’t care.
nYoo was quickly dashing to guy’s back which was bleeding due to the long sword.
nHowever, the guy was in front of Taesan.
n“No!”
nYoo put more energy on her sword.
nStab!
nThe knife stabbed guy’s back.
nThen guy’s knife stabbed Taesan’s heart.
n“Huh?”
nThe guy even made a weird noise.
nYoo couldn’t even make such a noise. She was so surprised that she opened her eyes wide and looked at the scene that Taesan made with the guy.
nThe guy’s knife was sandwiched between Taesan’s armpit.
nIt stabbed the empty space between the armpit instead of Taesan’s heart.
nAt that moment, Taesan’s hand hit the guy’s chin with a beautiful gesture.
nIt was literally a slap.
nA slap that was like gently touching a cute child.
nThe guy stumbled and collapsed to the side. Collapsed.
nYoo just gawked at the scene.
n“What are you doing while standing like that? Clean it up.”
n“Yes, I should clean up.”
nYoo was wondering and looked at the guy who collapsed on the ground. He died.
nShe looked at the corpse and Taesan with surprise.
n‘How?’
nHer head was full of confusion.
n“Well… the spirit is worth it.”
nYoo just looked at Taesan. That comment somehow made her feel better.
nGyeongwan came back.
nThen, he put his head down in front of Taesan.
n“I’m sorry.”
n“It’s fine that you know.”
nTaesan pointed at the corpse.
n“Keep the corpse.”
n“Yes, don’t worry.”
nThere were things to investigate from this corpse.
nFor example, the guy’s face, the heartbeat filled with energy, the possession he was carrying, and tattoos or body shape. Everything was worth investigating.
n‘I don’t know who would dare to do such things.’
nIn Cheonma society, there were people who specialized in such things.
nPeople who were obsessed with corpses.
nTaesan ordered to take the corpse considering those guys, but there was no big expectation.
n“Then, let’s go.”
nAs Taesan started walking, Yoo asked in a panic, “Are you still going to the brothel after experiencing such things?”
n“Since I experienced such things, I should go.”
nIn Taesan’s perspective, it was obvious.
nBecause he used energy to kill that guy, the major heartbeat which he connected was about to disconnect.
nIn order to make it stronger, he needed more spirit.
nThat’s why he needed to go to the brothel and absorb filthy spirits.
nWhile he was walking, Gyeongwan spoke behind him.
n“My Prince, you are going in the wrong direction. There is no brothel over there.”
nTaesan stopped walking and looked back.
nThen, he gave a pathetic look to Gyeongwan and Yoo.
n“Why did I come here? It is an isolated place without a brothel.”
n“Sorry? That’s because…..”
nGyeongwan was about to say, “Because we went the wrong way,” but he decided to stay quiet.
nTaesan wouldn’t make such a mistake as a genius with good senses.
n“You guys are slacking off with your training?”
nTaesan’s comment upset Yoo. She was confident that when it came to training, she had more passion than anyone else.
nOf course, she felt that she was a bit behind when she observed Gyeongwan’s training, but she didn’t agree as she heard such a comment from Taesan.
n“I will listen to your words.”
nYoo looked at him in surprise as he made such a comment.
nWas he insane to make such a comment?
n“It’s always good to open your senses whether you are training, eating, or sleeping.”
nYoo opened her mouth.
nWhat was he saying? How many people could do that in this world?
nThen, she couldn’t resist speaking.
n“How many people can do that?”
nTaesan responded immediately.
n“A lot. I know five hundred people do that. There will be more people including those I don’t know.”
nTaesan laughed and looked at Yoo.
n“Well, it’s not too bad to live like you who set your own limits.”
nYoo was in shock after hearing Taesan, completely thunderstruck.
nTaesan tapped Yoo’s shoulder by approaching her.
n“Wake up.”
nYoo was surprised and woke herself up.
nThen, she looked at Taesan with an upset feeling.
nShe thought she would be grasping something but she was awakened by Taesan.
n“Don’t do it here but do it when you have spare time. If you can’t hold to it when you do again, it means it wasn’t yours from the beginning.”
nTaesan then turned his body and began walking again.
nYoo seemed to be possessed by it and then began to follow him.
nTo the side, Gyeongwan followed.
n“You got a good gift. The prince must like you.”
nThat comment reminded Yoo of what Taesan said himself.
n‘Has a good fighting spirit………..’
nYoo began to smile without realizing it.
n“Where is this place?”
n“The place that smells like blood.”
nGyeongwan looked at the collapsing house as Taesan spoke to him.
nThen, the comment Taesan made before came again.
n‘Did the prince continue to train his senses? Constantly?’
nIs this why he could follow the guy’s traits as his senses were open all the time?
n“Is this the house where the guy was staying?”
n“Of course not.”
n“Sorry?”
n“Why would I go all the way there not knowing who might be there?”
nGyeongwan just looked at Taesan.
nYoo thought Taesan behaved strangely. She thought he was a person who would take an action spontaneously but it wasn’t.
n“Then…………”
n“I will just check.”
nHe didn’t know what Taesan was going to check but he thought whatever.
nHow could he dare to measure Taesan’s thoughts?
nGyeongwan and Yoo looked at Taesan with nervous looks.
n“I thought it would only smell like blood…”
nTaesan gave a mysterious smile.
n“I also smell makeup.”
nTaesan then turned his body.
n“Let’s go back now.”
nGyeongwan and Yoo just saw Taesan walking.
nNothing was certain but something was going on, starting from Taesan.
nWith a committed look, the two people’s faces and atmosphere following Taesan were similar.
n“What are you thinking about?” Gyeongwan asked and Yoo gave a bitter smile while waking herself up.
n“Well… just some thoughts.”
nYoo gave Gyeongwan a mysterious look.
n“You know how to make a personal conversation.”
nGyeongwan subtly avoided eye contact with her. Still, it was hard for him to make direct eye contact.
n“In such cases, you can continue your acknowledgment which you acquired before. It will be long until it is over.”
nYoo gave a weird look.
nShe looked at Gyeongwan, then turned her head to see the room which Taesan entered.
nThere was constant noise that sounded like moans or screams for a long time.
nHer view was toward the corpse which was in front of Gyeongwan.
n“Do you expect me to organize my acknowledgment in such a situation?”
nGyeongwan spoke while looking at Yoo.
n“The prince told you this. If that acknowledgment is yours then you can obtain it anytime.”
nYoo had a different memory of it, but the context was similar.
n‘Who cares about the surroundings? Let’s just do it.’
n“Then one moment please.”
n“Take your time.”
nYoo gently smiled at Gyeongwan. Then, she closed her eyes and focused to get hold of the acknowledgment.
nThen, she went on infinitely.
nGyeongwan looked at Yoo and gave a bitter laugh.
nWhen it came to talent, she had more talent than him.
nHe protected her like a steel tower while listening to the noise as background music.
n
