Chapter 411 - Preparation (1)
The Sayens Guild, which undermined the dying Talagapa Guild to make it collapse faster and absorbed its forces, could not stop the tide of the situation.
And the dying Talagapa guild revelaed the existence of the Judgement Key and the area o o o.
In the end, the leader, his successor, and other major players of the Talagapa Guild used the Judgement Key to move to the place called o o o, but never returned. As a result, the Talagapa Guild, one of the top five guilds in Argentina, was ruined.
Anyway, the Talagapa Guild came to Myongjin with the Judgement Key, which was known initially to only a few of the Myongjin Guild members including me, but it was later revealed to the outside world at large.
So I could conclude that there was a 99%, or 100% chance that the black liquid man came from the place called o o o.
It was in this situation that they were recruiting an advance party to visit the place called o o o.
Since this message rang to everybody, not just me, I could hear them whispering to each other here and there.
“If that place is o o o, isn’t that the place where the black liquid man came from?”
“Right. All of the 30 key players of the Talagapa Guild, including its leader, did not return from that place.”
“Then isn’t it very dangerous?”
“Of course it is dangerous. To be honest, we could only block the black liquid man because of Juyoung Hong. Think of what would happen without him.”
“…”
“…”
“…”
“Damn it! We’re in a situation where we can’t find any solution without him!”
“But aside from the black liquid man, if the guys who showed up in Osaka, Japan, were just average players, isn’t that place simply a hellish world?”
“You bet! I won’t go there under any circumstances!”
“I won’t either. If you are not crazy, why would you go there?”
“But if we can’t form an advance party of 300 volunteers, they said 3,000 people will be randomly recruited from among us.”
“I wonder if I can ever be selected.”
“I agree. There are so many people out there.”
“You never know, man.”
“I’ve no idea. But I won’t go there!”
In my case, I declined their offer when the Talagapa Guild approached me with the Judgement Key because I didn’t know anything about the situation.
As they said, even if I went there and hid myself for 30 days without doing anything, I would receive a reward when I returned after the 30-day cooldown was over. Even though I knew about this, I rejected their offer. There were some reasons why I declined it.
But the most decisive reason for it was because I didn’t want to stick my neck out for nothing because my growth back then was definitely not bad.
Moreover, if I was forced to confront the enemy anyway, I wanted to confront them only after I became stronger.
The message distracted my interest in the monster mutants by mentioning the place called o o o. But a series of messages kept ringing.
These are the rules for the event ‘Advance Party’.
– Exactly 10 days from today, a message about event participation will ring to all the members of the advance party who have raised even 1% of their reality actualization rate. You can accept or reject the offer, but if less than 300 people accept the offer within 24 hours, up to 3000 people will be randomly selected to form the advance party.
-After that, all the members of the advance party will be transferred to the area o o o.
However, there is a 30-day cooldown for you to return to the Earth from there.
-If you die in ㅇㅇㅇ, you die there and will not return.
-Once you make the decision, you can’t overturn it.
This is the reward for the event ‘Advance Party’.
If you participate in the advance party, you will receive:
: An increase of 10 levels, regardless of your current level.
: 1 billion golden rings.
: 500 remaining stat points.
: 10,000 coins.
– Upon successful return to the Earth.
: An increase of 50 levels, regardless of your current level.
: 5 billion golden rings.
: 2500 remaining stat points.
: 50,000 coins.
-For those 3000 members of the advance party who participate by being randomly selected, the first reward is not given because their participation is not voluntary. But if they come back to the Earth successfully, they will receive the due rewards.
The rewards were pretty spectacular. Or more precisely, they were definitely huge.
Moreover, unlike other events or quests that give rewards only after being cleared, this event gave an initial reward for only signing up. And the rewards issued after clearing the quest were even greater.
But the reward was not necessarily good just because it was big.
A big reward was the clearest evidence that the quest or event was much riskier.
Since there were still ten days left before I decided, I stopped thinking about it anymore.
Then I moved to the Myongjin Shelter after responding to the Sayen Guild leader Janssen who thanked me profusely.
In the level 1800 hunting ground Land of Ancient Spirits the next day.
Puck! Puck! Bang! Bang!
I kept hunting like before.
What about the matter of the advance party, about which a heated debate is underway around the world? There were still 9 days left before I decided whether to participate or not. I also needed some time to get more information from Director Sok, the head of the Intelligence Department of the Myongjin Guild about the place o o o in the alien world.
But I had already made up my mind, even though I didn’t tell anybody.
The moment I expressed any interest to Director Sok in particular, he would inevitably investigate the event, convinced that I would participate in it.
So I focused on hunting for three days, staying aloof from the matter of the advance party deliberately.
In the small meeting room of the Myongjin Shelter the next day.
Only a few including my father, brother, sister and Director Sok attended the meeting.
When everybody was seated, Director Sok stood up and said, “First of all, I’m sorry. We tried to do everything to gather information about the place o o o , but we could not find any valuable information.”
He sincerely apologized first, but since all the people here including me expected it already, nobody blamed him. Besides, it was only recently that the place o o o drew our attention.
Then Director Sok continued, “So we changed our approach to the event ‘Advance Party.’ In other words, we have decided to focus on how many will attend the advance party. There are two ways we can approach this. One of the options is for all of those who have achieved their reality actualization rate to go there because the event is open to at least 300 people. After all, you can’t ignore the power of such a large group.”
That option wasn’t bad. It may sound very cruel, but having a large number of people also meant that the number of people who would survive would increase too.
“Then what about the other option?”
