nWhen Xiao Nian arrived, he saw Fu Sichen and the cat engaged in a game of tug-of-war.

nFu Sichen wanted to keep walking, but the cat refused. He bit Fu Sichen’s trousers and was tugging in the other direction.

n“You don’t want to go with me?” Fu Sichen said with a faint expression on his face. “Stay at home if you don’t want to go.”

nHe bent over to pry the Persian cat away, but the cat was too agile. The cat slipped out of Fu Sichen’s grasp before turning around to bite him.

n“Tsk.”

nXiao Nian coughed twice, embarrassed by what he was seeing. He tried to make his presence known, “Best Actor Fu, where are you heading off to?”

nFu Sichen acknowledged Xiao Nian’s presence by replying, “It’s none of your business.”

nXiao Nian shrugged.

nHe didn’t have much of a choice. His artiste Pei Zhen was now at the mercy of Fu Sichen. Xiao Nian told himself to be the bigger person and to exercise tolerance. He forced himself to put a pleasing smile on his face, “There’s something wrong with your cat. You know, Best Actor Fu, most pets stop their owners from leaving because they have ominous premonitions.”

nXiao Nian’s expression was serious, but Fu Sichen only laughed cynically in response. “What the hell are you talking about?”

n“I’m telling the truth!” Xiao Nian continued, feeling a little hurt, “At least, that’s what happens in movies.”

nFu Sichen didn’t say anything in response.

nHe shot Xiao Nian a look of derision. In any case, he had decided not to go out anymore. Fu Sichen bent over to pick up the cat, “Okay, okay. Stop biting me. I’m not going out anymore.”

nAfter successfully foiling Fu Sichen’s plan to wake up his body with a kiss, Pei Zhen the cat was almost moved to tears.

nThe Persian cat, of course, cooperated fully after hearing that they were going back to the apartment. On the other hand, Xiao Nian was left standing next to the front door with a big smile on his face until Fu Sichen let him in.

n“Sit down, and don’t touch the cat.”

nPei Zhen had bitten a hole in Fu Sichen’s pants. Before going into his room to change, he didn’t forget to leave Xiao Nian with a stern warning.

n“Yes, Best Actor. Understood, Best Actor.”

nXiao Nian’s had a big smile on his face. He kept bowing while sending Fu Sichen off to his bedroom. But as soon as the bedroom door shut, his smile disappeared.

n“Oh my big Daddy.” Xiao Nian turned around and hugged the cat. He said while crying, “I’m begging you! Turn into a human again!”

nDaddy Pei Zhen felt as though all of the air was squeezed out of him. He waved Xiao Nian away with his paw. He opened his eyes wide, in an effort to communicate just how much he wanted to be human again.

nAt this point, Pei Zhen was extremely frustrated.

nThis whole kissing business— even though he had succeeded in foiling Fu Sichen’s attempt today, he knew that he wouldn’t necessarily be able to do it the next time it happened.

nXiao Nian cupped his face with his hands and shook his head.

nPei Zhen tried his best to keep calm. Do you have any leads?

nXiao Nian shook his head, his face still cupped in his hands.

nBy now, Pei Zhen really wanted to give him a vicious scratch. Damn it! Hurry up and continue the search then! Why did you come here! Are you trying to rub it in or something?!?!

n“No.” Afraid that Pei Zhen would misunderstand, Xiao Nian quickly explained, “I already asked someone to help me find a shaman. The reason why I’m here today is because of an urgent situation.”

nPei Zhen looked up at Xiao Nian, impatiently waiting for Xiao Nian to continue.

n“The thing is, I married a lady online playing the game Sword of the Immortals.” Xiao Nian put on a coy look, “I even gave her my word that I’d kill the beast on the Cliff of Forgotten Love as a wedding gift. But, Pei Pei, you know how bad my gaming skills are.”

nOh, so he was looking for someone to play for him.

nPei Pei smiled sweetly at Xiao Nian before raising his hind legs to give Xiao Nian a ruthless kick!

nWhat!? Was he not pitiful enough or something? His stupid manager was really asking for a beating!
