Chapter 469 - Father

Chapter 469: Father

Su Qian rushed out of the crowd and stuck to me. She looked around warily for snipers. I was certain no one dared to do that because they didn’t know my trump card. The game couldn’t end so early.

I got into the car, and the driver was Xiao Yi. “Sister Xing, are you alright?”

I nodded.

Su Qian got into the car from the other side and ordered Xiao Yi, “Drive!”

I placed the suitcase on my lap and opened it. I took a photo and posted it on the Internet. I labeled the file “My father’s legacy.”

I had no idea what happened during my father’s generation, but I knew this thing was going to raise a bloodbath in the underworld.

The kidnappers had come to China and joined forces with Joint Creation. However, their cooperation was based on benefits. They looked strong on the surface, but they were early to break. They would only bring down the other.

Du Heng and Qu Hao were cleaning them up at the political level; Old Master Jing and my little uncle dealt with them at the business level; Mai Qi and Jing Ni had been watching them through the backdoor Jing Tian left behind.

Su Qian glanced at my phone and clicked her tongue.

I put down my phone.

Su Qian sighed, “Nanxing, how big of a storm do you plan to raise?”

I looked at the scenery flying past the window and said slowly, “I have to make the storm as large as possible. That way, when Jing Tian wakes up, he’ll have less to deal with.”

Su Qian sighed and patted my shoulder lightly. “Nanxing.”

She didn’t say anything in the end.

None of us could predict the future. We were all pragmatic people who wouldn’t use vague words to comfort others.

My heart was filled with tears.

Jing Tian, I don’t know what else I could do for you. Or, I could leave you some small problems to deal with when you wake up.

This thought made me want to laugh. It was not a bad idea!

When I returned home, I locked myself in my room and didn’t see anyone. I had received too much sympathy and pity these days. I couldn’t stand them anymore. I only wanted to live my life quietly, one day at a time.

I would sneak to look at Jing Tian in the dead of night. He would be sleeping soundly. After all, I didn’t have much time left.

Every night was a torment for me. One side told me that I should stay by his side as long as I could so that he would at least remember me by my lingering presence. The other side said that I should leave as early as possible since the ending was going to be the same.

In the past, I wasn’t afraid of anything because I would always have Jing Tian. However, that was not true anymore. Sunlight disappeared from my world, and my future dimmed. I didn’t know what I should do. Since my rebirth, Jing Tian had been the pillar of my life. Now, I had to yank that pillar off. My world started to teeter.

After a few days, I was tired mentally and physically. I couldn’t cry anymore. Which was more painful? Living in permanent torture or permanent silence in death?

I wondered if there was a medicine that could make me forget everything and set me free.

However, even if there were such a thing, I wouldn’t take it. I couldn’t part with any memory of Jing Tian. This was truly heart-rending torture..
