Chapter 416 - Menopause

“How come you stopped?” Even Chen Zhao couldn’t take it this time.

“Engine broke down,” the captain said offhandedly.

“Then hurry and fix it,” Glasses Girl yelled impatiently.

“The sun is too bright. Wait until the clouds come over.”

Chen Zhao went into the cabin and dragged the captain out. He grabbed the man and hung him over the deck. “If the boat doesn’t start in ten minutes, I’ll feed you to the sharks.”

The captain obviously just saw that Chen Zhao and Glasses Girl would be easy to take advantage of. However, Chen Zhao didn’t plan on going easy on the captain.

The captain almost pissed his pants. To him, Asians always stayed low-key in America. They would just bear it even when people bullied them.

Who would’ve thought that Chen Zhao would be so aggressive and attack him directly?

As expected, the boat started after the threat. Even the repair step was skipped. The boat was even faster too.

Glasses Girl glanced at Chen Zhao. “Barbarian.”

“B*tch,” Chen Zhao shot back.

This girl kept bugging Chen Zhao to solve the problem earlier. After the problem was solved, she called him “barbarian.”

Chen Zhao couldn’t stand this.

Finally, the boat reached land. Chen Zhao glanced at the captain. “Stay here. If you dare to leave, I’ll show you.”

He jumped off after threatening the captain. Glasses Girl looked at him and scoffed. “Idiot, you think he’ll listen to you?”

Chen Zhao didn’t feel like responding to her. He really didn’t care if the captain ran off. Amon was swimming nearby. That small boat wouldn’t be able to take Amon’s hit.

After Glasses Girl got off the boat, she didn’t feel like dealing with Chen Zhao anymore either. She ran toward the small island.

On the other hand, Chen Zhao wandered around. Geya Island had basic infrastructure left behind from the fishery decades ago. But after 20 years, L.A. no longer had any fisheries nearby.

There was a pier of average size, but the coast was lined with rocky beaches.

Carrying a briefcase, Agatha heard Steven’s roar from far away. Agatha had worked with Steven for four years. She knew practically everything about this dictator now.

She missed the crew’s ship in the morning because her alarm had broken. She ended up paying $300 to get over here.

Not only was she late, she knew that she had to face the storm named Steven now.

“Agatha, you still came?” Steven raised his voice immediately when he saw Agatha. “Why don’t you just disappear? Then I have a reason to get a new assistant.”

“Mr. Steven, someone from the crew gave me a hard time along the way. He purposely delayed me. If not for him, I would’ve gotten here long ago.”

“Who is it?”

“I don’t know him,” Agatha replied pitifully. “He must be new.”

“Don’t ever make me wait an hour again! I hate waiting! Do you understand? This is your first time, and I hope it’s your last time! If you make me wait again, I’ll make you sleep on the streets!”

“Yes, I understand, sir.”

“Give me those documents!” Steven’s volume was still very high.

Agatha hurriedly handed the documents to Steven and followed him obediently. They hadn’t started filming yet, so they were still building some basic scenes.

“I don’t need you here,” Steven said, waving his hand when he realized that Agatha was still there while he looked over the documents. “Go check the infrastructure for the next scene. I don’t want any emergency situations.”

As if freed, Agatha hurriedly bowed out.

She started surveying the film site. Of course, she wasn’t in charge of the work. The heads of the crew weren’t under her control.

At that moment, Agatha saw the strolling Asian.

Chen Zhao seemed like he was on vacation. He just enjoyed the scenery along the way.

Agatha immediately went up to him, pointing at him. “What are you doing? Are you here to have fun? Don’t you know how busy the crew is? Do you know how many people are waiting for you?”

“How many people are waiting for me? Am I that important?” Chen Zhao was confused.

“If you don’t want to work anymore, then get out. The crew doesn’t need slackers like you.” Agatha took all her anger from Steven out on Chen Zhao.

Most of the crew were seniors that she couldn’t offend. However, Chen Zhao looked like a rookie. She could yell at him without worry about the consequences.

Chen Zhao picked at his ears and looked around.

Seeing his attitude, Agatha was even more furious. “What attitude is this? Do you still want to work? Don’t think that I can’t do anything about you.”

“Miss, are you in menopause right now? Or you haven’t had sex for too long, so your hormones are all messed up?”

“Bullsh*t… Get out of here. Get out of the crew and never appear before me again!”

“You can’t decide if I stay or leave.”

“You think I can’t do anything about you?” Agatha turned toward the crew. “Eddie, is he part of your maintenance crew?”

“No, Agatha.” In the distance, Eddie shook his head.

Most of the people saw Agatha and Chen Zhao’s argument, but they didn’t know Chen Zhao, so they didn’t plan on getting involved.

“Glen, is he from props?”

“Nope.”

“Film?” Agatha asked doubtfully. She wasn’t sure anymore.

The film crew should have the most people. They were also the most important. For example, cinematographers, lighting, lighting assistants, machinery… They were all extremely important.

During these times, the crew would also hire experienced professionals from outside. These kinds of film crew members had the largest voice, other than the director. Sometimes, they were even allowed to make suggestions to the director crew.

When Agatha saw how indifferent Chen Zhao was, she suspected that Chen Zhao was an invited professional.

These people were usually freer outside of their own duties. Their professional abilities were able to determine the final quality of the film.

“I don’t care who you are or what you do. This is Steven’s crew, so we do things according to his rules. Don’t you know that he hates people who are late the most?”

Finally, Agatha name-dropped Steven to intimidate Chen Zhao.
