Chapter 800 - Acquaintances
Chen Rui did not massacre the Garron Tribe, but he used the means of Winter Territory to let those orcs temporarily lose their combat power so as not to catch up with Cradiva’s merchant group to retaliate and vent their anger.
Cradiva’s trip was not in vain. When Chen Rui interrogated a few orcs, the businessman got some of the medicinal materials he wanted with the help of the ‘elf powerhouse’. Nonetheless, Cradiva was still smart and not too greedy as he left the goods that he brought.
After Chen Rui’s interrogation was over, Cradiva had quickly completed the exchange, loading and unloading. The time was just right, and they finally left the Garron Tribe with Chen Rui.
To express his gratitude, Cradiva gave Chen Rui a hand-painted detailed map of the Nightmare Wilderness when they were parting. Compared with the one given by Michelle, this map could only be regarded as rough, but in terms of practical value, it was 10 times better. On the map, each area and passage as well as the tribes and dangers that might be encountered were labeled in detail.
With this map, combined with the magic map of the elf tribe and some news learned from the orcs captives, Chen Rui could rush to the Thunderstorm Tribe as quickly as possible.
Blanche may have been sent to the Doom Swamp, but just in case, I’ll go to the Thunderstorm Tribe first because both the Thunderstorm Tribe and the Doom Swamp are in the same direction. The former is the only way to the latter.
The Thunderstorm Tribe was the most powerful orc tribe of the Nightmare Wilderness. It was said that it owned the bloodline of the royal family of the Orc Empire and its combat power was extremely powerful.
The terrain of the plain enabled White Wind to maximize its speed. With the help of the map, Chen Rui only took 5 days to reach the Ghastly River where the Thunderstorm Tribe was located.
Ghastly River was the largest river in the Nightmare Wilderness. It was a standard plain river with wide river valleys and small slopes of river beds. The naturally curved river formed strange lakes of different sizes.
The Thunderstorm Tribe was located next to these lush lakes. The overall distribution was scattered, occupying the most fertile land in the entire wilderness. It was said that this area used to be the capital of the Orc Empire. Some ruins and relics could be seen along the way.
It was nightfall when Chen Rui arrived. Judging from the distribution of lights and bonfires, the camp of the Thunderstorm Tribe was much larger than the Garron Tribe. The total number of tribesmen seemed to be more than 50,000.
This was a huge strength for the orc tribe considering that even women had impressive combat power.
Chen Rui settled White Wind in the dwarf forest in the distance. Under the cover of night, he bypassed the outer guards and sneaked into the camp.
The Nightmare Wilderness had a large temperature difference between night and day. In the camp, a large group of orcs gathered, set up a pot, and drank the rare wine around a bonfire in the wilderness while chewing the divided food. The tribal system of the orcs was somewhat close to the primitive tribe in Chen Rui’s memory, but it was not entirely public ownership. The more brave and stronger one was, the more food and women one could get. On the contrary, the incompetent ones with no contribution would be expelled from the tribe. Progress comes with the competition; this was also natural selection. It was not a fluke that the orc tribes had survived to this day after the fall of the empire.
After a few cups of wine, the orcs began to get tipsy. Some boast in front of the female orcs about how they had defeated the demonic beasts bravely, and some began to beat the drums made by the beast hide. Some went to the open space to wrestle.
The open space in this area was so large that it was inconvenient to hide. With a shift of thought, Chen Rui used Camouflage and Breath Holding skills, turning into a medium-sized orc. He swaggered over and sat in the crowd. Since it was noisy all around, no one doubted.
Chen Rui’s nose twitched as his attention turned to the wine bowl of the orcs. He was attracted not to the bowl made of demonic beast’s skull, but the purple wine in the bowl. The fragrance of this wine was very mellow which seemed familiar.
Chen Rui had an idea. A metal bowl appeared in his hand as he came to the big wine barrel. He scooped a bowl and frowned after tasting it. This is actually the famous purple grape wine in the human world. I have tasted it in Venus City. The quality of these wines is quite high; it is definitely not brewed by the orcs themselves.
While he was thinking, a chubby female orc who was drinking wine came over and winked at him, “You’re not from the north camp, right? It’s my first time seeing you.”
“En.” Chen Rui nodded. He drank his wine, went to a corner and sat down, pretending to watch the wrestling for fear of revealing his identity.
However, the female orc followed him, “My name is Xiao Cha, what is your name?”
“My… My name is Henk.” Chen Rui unceremoniously borrowed the name of the leader of the Garron Tribe.
Xiao Cha saw that his wine was almost finished, so she carried a small bucket over and refilled it, “Henk, I will treat you to wine; will you give me that bowl?”
It turns out that she has taken a fancy to this thing. Chen Rui looked at the metal bowl in his hand and handed it over, “Okay.”
“Great!” Xiao Cha took the bowl with shining eyes, and rubbed it with her sleeves. It looked particularly shiny in her eyes, which made her overjoyed. She came close to him a lot.
Chen Rui only felt a strong body odor go straight into his nostrils, and he almost fainted. Ms. Xiao Cha, who didn’t realize it, still rubbed his arm with her body to show affection.
Student Henk cried out secretly. I just simply turned into an orc and was still spotted by the female orc. He had an idea. He took the small bucket and poured a bowl of wine for Xiao Cha, and said, “This wine is delicious.”
“Of course!” Xiao Cha poured it down at one go, “Those humans are weak, but the wine they make is much better than ours!”
Chen Rui saw that Xiao Cha was a little drunk, so he tentatively asked, “Where did these wines come from?”
Xiao Cha burped, “Isn’t it from the captured human businessmen…?”
“Right, I drank some wine and actually forgot it.” Chen Rui patted his head in an orcly-manner, then he poured wine for Xiao Cha.
“Are those people still there?”
“It’s closed in the dungeon of the central royal tent…” Xiao Cha was obviously drunk. She directly hugged Chen Rui, “Come, let’s go to the tent…”
When Chen Rui dodged slightly, Xiao Cha missed the hug. He held her and asked in a low voice, “Where is the half-elf that comes with the reward?”
“The half-elf is… the dungeon…” Xiao Cha said vaguely as she grabbed Chen Rui’s hand to touch her chest, “My tent is…”
The dungeon? Blanche is still here? Chen Rui’s eyes lit up suddenly.
“Asshole! Get away from my Xiao Cha!” A roaring voice sounded. A tall and strong orc rushed over. Chen Rui’s mind shifted as he clearly sensed the action that the orc was about to make in his consciousness. Without a thought, he did not try to resist.
The tall orc strangled Chen Rui’s neck, lifted his entire body, and threw him far away with a vigorous force.
“If I see you come close to her in the future, I’ll break your neck!” The tall orc threatened as he gave a contemptuous look at Chen Rui who was lying on the ground.
“Reiter! Reiter!” The nearby orcs raised their hands and laughed loudly.
Listening to the surrounding words, it seemed that ‘Xiao Cha’ was one of the best beauties in the north camp. Chen Rui had to admire the wonderful aesthetics of the orc tribe. Reiter thumped his chest in front of Chen Rui to show off his strength, then he picked up Xiao Cha and strode toward the tent. Needless to say, there must be a fierce sex scene in there…
Chen Rui didn’t dare to imagine this kind of heavy taste scene. He secretly blessed the 2 to have a good relationship forever. He pretended to get up in frustration and naturally left this area as a ‘loser’ under the ridicule of the orcs.
After several turns. Chen Rui finally touched the central royal tent area where he could see the obvious palace architecture. Most of them were dilapidated. It was probably the ruins of the Orc Empire palace.
The terrain here was much more complicated than he imagined, and the guards were quite strict. They appear to be well-trained. They were much better than the disorganized orcs that he had seen previously. They seemed to be elite.
After exploring for a while, Chen Rui finally found the dungeon which was more like the entrance of an underground cave. A team of strong orcs armed with weapons guarded the entrance.
These orcs didn’t notice that an invisible figure had entered the gate silently. Chen Rui sneaked all the way down. This tunnel was very long. After a few turns, he finally found the prison. The prison door was already broken and unusable. There were 2 soldiers guarding the door. There was no torch inside, and it looked dim.
Chen Rui’s mind moved. With both hands swiftly waving, the 2 orcs soldiers felt that their vision blacked out, and they had lost consciousness. Once he attacked, the Sneak skill would automatically deactivate. Chen Rui’s figure appeared as he walked inside.
Although the visibility was very low, Chen Rui’s eyes could still tell that, compared with the ruined palace on the ground, the main body of the dungeon was still well preserved. There were not many usable cells. There were some people sitting in the 5 large stone cages. However, he couldn’t see the specific faces and didn’t know where Blanche was.
Chen Rui thought, and there was an illuminated magic item in his hand, emitting a strong light.
The sudden bright light shocked the people in the cage. They closed their eyes because they were unable to adapt to the strong light immediately. When they slowly adapted, they saw the bright prison, and the light was actually emitted by an ‘orc’.
The ‘orc’ held a certain kind of luminous item, leaning close to the cage and illuminating them one by one, seeming to be looking for someone. Some timidly guessed whether he was looking for people to put to death. They all bowed their heads, not even daring to make breathing sounds.
“Blanche?” What surprised the human prisoners was that the common language pronunciation of this ‘orc’ seemed to be particularly accurate without the unfamiliarity of ordinary orcs.
Chen Rui shouted a few words continuously in the voice of ‘Richard’, but there was no response. Just as he was feeling strange, he suddenly stopped in front of a cage, and brought the lighting item closer.
Because he accidentally found a familiar face. No, 2.
“Lucio! Ina!”
As soon as these words came out, the man and the woman shook at the same time. The man seemed to think of something. He got up abruptly, walked quickly to the stone pillar of the cage, and asked with some uncertainty, “Master?”
Chen Rui nodded. Unexpectedly, I didn’t find Blanche here, but I found my former servant, the spearman Lucio and Samuel’s ‘confidante’, Ina!
Lucio had changed his face with some means after he faked death at that time, but Chen Rui was always by his side during this process, so he was able to recognize Lucio immediately.
Master? An orc? Lucio’s title surprised everyone while Ina slowly stood up. Her eyes were full of disbelief.
TL: They are so weak, yet they still came to this Nightmare Wilderness?
