Chapter 388 - The Exploding Soul Plates
The cultivators who rushed to the scene looked as if they had seen a ghost.
Jin Sidao was especially baffled, and muttered, “When did that happen, Lord Jiang He? Didn’t the Sky Demons gather a legion of millions, led by hundreds of Sufferance champions, dozens of Mahayana champions as well as Heavenly Immortals?”
How could he not be baffled?
Just this morning, I brought you the ‘mental distress compensations’ from the nine factions… and after I returned to contact the other factions as soon as possible, you’re telling me that the threat was pacified just half a day later?
Moreover… you actually wiped out the entire Sky Demon legion and their champions?
Does that mean that in half a day, you went to Mars and destroyed their legion, including their hundreds of Sufferance champions, eighty Mahayana champions as well as handful of Heavenly Immortals?
Hence, Jiang He had no choice but to explain. “Just before, I learned that a True Immortal Sky Demon might come, and they might lay waste to Earth after they arrive. That is why I had to strike preemptively by heading to Mars and use the bombs I made myself to blow them all to hell.”
Every cultivator present was even more stunned at his words.
They were aware of how Jiang He had wiped out the Penglai Sect and the ‘weapons of technology’ that commoners invented—the most prominent ones being the nuclear weapons that could wipe out the world, and not even Mahayana elites could afford to underestimate.
It was even likely that Jiang He had used such weapons when he wiped out the Penglai Sect.
However…
These weapons could kill even True Immortals?
If this was true, the cultivators would have to review their perspective about the strength of the commoners… It might not be even be necessary to be overly cautious toward the return of the immortals now!
Jiang He could tell what they were thinking, but was not bothered to elaborate.
After some idle chatter, the Green Scale Dragon King was the first to leave. Then, the cultivators of Jiuhua Sect and other sects also excused themselves, bidding their leave with fist-palm salutes.
Meanwhile, Jin Sidao and Wang Hou huddled together to discuss about promoting Dao.
Wang Hou smiled. “Brother Jin, the cultivation techniques of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect have been taught far and wide in the Hua Nation. We even intend to build a cultivation academy, even selecting a group of talented youths with impressive enlightenment and are suitable for cultivation to be groomed in the academy. However, the country has only recently started to introduce immortal cultivation, which is why we simply don’t have enough instructors, so we hope that the Ten Thousand Swords Sect could assist us in this respect.”
Jin Sidao was very agreeable, and said, “That would be easy. There are some disciples and elders in our sect who could assume that role, even though their cultivation is merely True Child or Yuan Spirit. We, the Ten Thousand Swords Sect, also possess some secret manuals that require certain treasures, and while we don’t have much, we could still offer you some.”
“There is also a Sword Cave in the Ten Thousand Swords Sect that helps hone a person’s Sword Will, and twelve people could enter to cultivate each year.”
By now, the Ten Thousand Swords Sect was not holding anything back.
In return, Wang Hou also permitted the Ten Thousand Swords Sect to open their doors and accept new disciples, and it was said that the Ten Thousand Swords Sect had already picked their first batch of recruits, with hundreds going up their mountains to cultivate… of course, the condition for that was for those recruits to contribute their strength if the Hua Nation was at risk.
“By the way, Brother Jin—where do you think we should build the cultivator academy?”
“Eh? You should be the one to decide on this matter, Minister Wang.”
As they continued their courteous exchange, Jiang He butted in and said, “Isn’t Green Hill vacated? The scenery there is fantastic and Spirit Qi concentration is high, so the new cultivator academy could be built there.”
Wang Hou shook his head and smiled bitterly. “If the Immortal Foxes of Green Hill return and see that, they would immediately destroy the academy. Moreover, I am sure that there would be a second Revival of Spirit Qi, since it is getting more concentrated around the world and now that the Star Map is unsealed. When the time comes, Yuan Qi concentration would not lose out to how it was in the ancient era of Qi Refinists, with Spirit Qi overflowing everywhere—that is why we could build the cultivator academy anywhere.”
After some thought, Jiang He nodded in agreement.
Meanwhile, the Taixu Sect cultivator did not leave even though Wang Hou and Jin Sidao had gone off to another corner to discuss their plans. Envy and jealously filled his face at the sight, and he eventually gritted his teeth and approached them, smiling. “Minister Wang, I’m Dustless Child of the Taixu Sect… May I have a discussion with you as well?
“Dustless, you old thug. What are you trying?”
Furious, Jin Sidao drew his sword and was about to fight Dustless Child while warning him coldly, “Are you trying to steal our thunder now that the Ten Thousand Swords Sect had spread our teachings in the Hua Nation?”
“Calm down, Brother Dragon Abyss… The Hua Nation is vast and boasts a population of one billion. How many cultivators could the Ten Thousand Swords Sect groom even if you poured out all our resources? Why don’t we make an agreement…?”
Jiang He could not help laughing out loud.
Were these two mongrels going to start fighting now?
Still, come to think of it, these sects had stood for several thousand years. Now that they had revealed themselves, they would naturally open their doors to recruit new disciples and spread their teachings… otherwise, if something unexpected happened and their continuity was disrupted, it was no different from having their sect destroyed.
So, it was a good thing that the Taixu Sect and the Ten Thousand Swords Sect were competing to spread their teachings. Otherwise, if the Ten Thousand Swords Sect maintained a monopoly and was the only one to grow, Wang Hou might not be able to stop them if they wanted to start a journey amongst the stars as well.
“By the way, Minister Wang…”
Jiang He interrupted at that thought, saying, “Any of the sects who have come here today may spread their teachings, and the conditions that the Ten Thousand Swords Sect has followed before applies… of course, the most important part is to observe the rules of the Hua Nation. As for any other sect, they are absolutely not permitted to spread their teachings in the Hua Nation, and they must not blame me if I wipe out their sect should they open their doors and recruit disciples in the Hua Nation without seeking approval first.”
With those words, Jiang He ignored them all and headed inside his farm.
A thought occurred to him then…
Those other sects would head to other countries to recruit disciples since they couldn’t do so in the Hua Nation.
Still, it would be interesting when that happens, and they accepted those foreigners who only seemed capable of saying ‘what’ and ‘f*ck’…
Shaking his head and throwing away the random thoughts in his head, Jiang He took out the ‘compensation for mental distress’ that nine sects had paid him and started to planted them.

At the same time, in a massive living planet, faraway from Earth…blocks of soul plates were exploding.
The Sky Demon champion who was guarding the Throne of Requiem, almost lost his wits.
He had never seen such a ‘grand’ sight… there was no telling how many soul plates exploded in the Throne in a single breath, and the cracking and bursting only stopped after several minutes.
Panic ensued after his initial shock.
Crawling and dashing, the Sky Demon champion rushed inside a luxurious palace and wailed, “It’s a tragedy! It’s a tragedy! The soul plates are shattering, all of them… the Supreme Venerable Elder! I want to see him!”
Soon enough, a Sky Demon royal champion with pale-white hair rushed into the Throne of Requiem, dumbstruck when he found it filled with shattered soul plates.
Nonetheless, he came to his senses soon enough. Immortal might then swirled around him as he roared, “No, this is impossible! The homeworld of the humans has been sealed for over two thousand years and almost all of their immortals had left for the stars before that. No elite would have been left in the planet, not to mention that our legion is led by our sovereign, four Supreme Venerable Elders and Lord Molona, who had just returned from the galactic battlegrounds… how could they have been defeated at the humans’ homeworld?”
“Moreover, even if it was a Grand Luo, they could not have instantly wiped out our legion of millions…”
Roar and confusion aside, facts were facts. Eventually, the Supreme Venerable Elder, a Heavenly Immortal and a royalty among Sky Demons, eventually had to accept that truth.
He growled, “Prepare the altar. I will contact the former emperor.”
The sentinel of the Throne of Requiem paled at that and quickly said, “But, Supreme Venerable Elder, the former emperor is engaged in the galactic battlefield…”
“Our sovereign has fallen and Lord Molona had fallen too. The former emperor, and even the pioneers, must be informed of this as soon as possible, or once the human immortals return to their homeworld, we would have to align ourselves with the Hundred Races like we did before if we want conquer Earth!”

Meanwhile, at a location out in distant space untold light years away from Earth, an elderly person shrouded in sacred radiance who sat atop a massive continent-sized boulder opened his eyes, pinching his fingers and smiled. “Oh? The Star Map has been unlocked?”
“I’m afraid those Hundred Races would not let these chance slip by… well, we could let our little ones go back for a bit.”
