nShi Qing walked down the street with the cat in his arms. He was a pretty boy this time, wearing a small black cloak that fell to his ankles with beautiful flowers embroidered on it that fluttered with his movements.
nWhen he came to a window, he stopped and examined his reflection in the glass.
nIt was early autumn right now. The passer-bys were wearing coats, jeans, and jeans with leggings underneath.
nBut no one was dressed like Shi Qing, who seemed like he had stepped out of a movie scene.
nThe only reason they didn’t stop to take pictures was because they couldn’t see him.
nShi Qing continued to look at the window. System, tell me, is there a difference between vacation and mission worlds?
nOf course there’s a difference. the System popped out, Has Host not noticed that your appearance in this world is your original one?
nShi Qing noticed that the face on the glass was almost an exact replica of his original one.
nA tall, slender figure with handsome features and an air of elegance in his eyebrows and eyes.
nThe only difference was that his hair was now long and partially secured by a jade crown. The rest drifted down and framed his face in a charming way.
nHe raised his hand and stared at himself in the mirror. His long fingers slowly fell onto the reflection’s cheek. The demon king in the mirror quirked his lips slightly.
nIt made him appear deviously wicked.
nThe System cautiously reminded Shi Qing: Host, you don’t need to worry about going OOC in the vacation world. You don’t have to pretend to be a bad guy anymore.
nShi Qing raised his eyebrows. He smirked and tilted his head: Who told you I was pretending?
nSystem: …
nShi Qing lowered his hand and stroked the cat in his arms: Okay, now tell me what’s going on in this world.
nSystem: ……
nIt somehow felt as if the Host was a demon king even before coming here.
nIt began transferring memories with trepidation.
nBecause it was a vacation world, there was no plotline here. However, there were important character profiles to consider.
nFor example, Shi Qing was the cold blooded and ruthless demon king who took great pleasure in watching people fall into despair after taking away what they treasured the most.
nHis favorite thing to do was to destroy relationships.
nFriendship, love, familial affection.
nHe hated to see other people be happy, and loved to destroy that happiness.
nThe man who pushed his own mother down the stairs before was no exception. The demon king was envious of his mother’s maternal love for the man, so he was in the process of tempting him to trade away that affection.
nThe demon king had enemies, but he was an existence born due to the overwhelming amount of evil thoughts and negative energy in this world.
nNo one could really deal with him yet, and he could even live forever if he wished.
nEven though his title seemed very western, the setting was eastern. His enemies didn’t refer to him as the demon king, they referred to him as the demonic fiend.
nThis world had a bit of everything. There was an Underworld and cultivators. Naturally, the demon king’s enemy was one said cultivator.
nThe Underworld couldn’t overpower him nor restrain him.
nThat cultivator was actually weaker than the Underworld, but the reason that he could be considered the demon king’s enemy was because of his philosophy: to save all living things. Naturally, this included the victims who were tempted by the demon king into losing everything.
nThe demon king was just too lazy to bother with him. He was completely addicted to causing all sorts of tragedies and unable to pull himself away. It wasn’t until he grew bored of toying with ordinary humans that his thoughts suddenly turned to that cultivator.
n
n
nJust imagine how thrilling it would be to seduce a previously pure and righteous cultivator.
nThe System finished transferring and carefully asked, Host, how do you feel about this identity?
nShi Qing opened his eyes. A red streak of light flashed past them before he blinked. Not bad. It’s pretty good. In other words, I’m going to seduce a cultivator now?
nSystem: No need, no need. Host, this is a vacation world! You don’t have to follow the character presets.
nShi Qing: But don’t you think it would be fun to seduce one?
nSystem: …
nShi Qing: Just imagine a remote cultivator slowly seduced by me into sin. Like damn…
nSystem: ……
nShi Qing: I can’t wait! Okay, tell me who that cultivator is.
nThe System’s mind was full of question marks as it carefully sent the information over.
nThat cultivator was called Meng Qing.
nHe was an orphan who was abandoned at the foot of a mountain shortly after birth, and was picked up by his master, who raised him as a cultivator.
nPerhaps because he grew up in the sect, Meng Qing was wholly devoted to the Dao and its teachings. He didn’t care about fame and fortune. From his childhood to now, he hasn’t even touched a girl’s hand.
nHe was twenty years old, but was so pure that he would blush when he overheard others discussing bedroom matters. He was more like a person living in ancient times than actual people from ancient times.
nHe was also the one who had been trying to help the demon king’s victims.
nShi Qing finished reading and raised his eyebrows slightly: Is he good-looking?
nSystem: I guess…
nShi Qing: Great.
nSystem: ??? Huh? Host, where are you going?
nThe demon king was the personification of all the grievances in the world. Wherever misery existed, he could travel there in a single step.
nGrievances were a universal experience. People felt bad when they didn’t have enough to eat, when they didn’t sleep enough or even when they were sick with a cold.
nRather than saying that he could go wherever there were grievances, it was more apt to say that he could go anywhere with people.
nMonks of all types lived in Qingzhen Temple, so of course grievances existed there as well.
nThe demon king’s shoes landed lightly in front of the Qingzhen Temple gate.
nThere were little cultivators sweeping nearby, and some ordinary people walking around.
nWhen Shi Qing closed his eyes, they all disappeared from his sight, leaving behind floating wisps of smoke.
nThe demon king’s special skill was the ability to see the energy of a person.
nThis skill made it more convenient for him to tempt them.
nAnd hidden among the sea of gray, green and even black clouds of smoke, there was a lone wisp of white. In the widely renowned Qingzhen Temple, only one could remain completely pure. It was enough to make Shi Qing feel kind of bad for him.
nShi Qing curled his lips, closed his eyes and lifted his feet.
nWhen he opened them again, he had already arrived in front of a house.
nHe blew out a breath, and the door opened slowly without a single sound.
nThe demon king landed and leisurely strode in.
nBehind him, the door gradually closed again.
nWhen he reached the bed, he could see a young man sleeping there. His eyes were closed and his face was slightly red. It was obviously early autumn, but his forehead was covered with tiny little beads of sweat. His lips were slightly open as he panted, and his eyebrows were furrowed.
n“So he’s sick, ah.”
nThe demon king opened his mouth. His voice was quiet and a little hoarse, carrying with it an unspoken charm.
nThe youth on the bed couldn’t hear his words. He was still frowning slightly in his sleep while fighting a difficult battle against his illness.
nShi Qing slowly stretched a hand out to touch Meng Qing’s forehead.
nIn just a few seconds, the young cultivator’s originally tight eyebrows relaxed. His uncomfortable expression eased and his breathing became deep and even.
nShi Qing smiled and deliberately leaned beside the cultivator’s ear. His lips gently murmured words that wafted through the air.
n“I helped you regain your health, so you owe me something in return.”
nThe youth suddenly jerked awake. A pair of wide open eyes froze as they locked onto the demon king.
n
n
nSeeing him awake, the demon king’s smile became even sweeter. He slowly approached the jade-like youth and lowered himself to eye level.
nHis lips parted slightly, and he dragged out his words. “Little cultivator… You’re awake.”
nMeng Qing: “!!!”
nFace to face with that almost flawless appearance, the young cultivator flushed at a rate visible to the naked eye. Even his neck took on a light shade of red.
nHe finally reacted and jumped up while blushing furiously. He scooted back into a corner of the bed and curled into a ball. His face looked dazed, bewildered and pitiful.
n“Y-y-you! Who are you!”
nLooking at the flabbergasted cultivator, who was obviously nervous to the point of stammering but still tried to act tough, Shi Qing became even more vicious. He got right on the bed and approached the young cultivator, who seemed like he wanted to be anywhere but where he was.
n“Why are you hiding? Weren’t you looking for me earlier?”
nMeng Qing looked at the wicked being in front of him who wore a mask of harmless innocence. His face inexplicably heated up again.
nHe hugged his knees and squeezed into the corner again. He looked down quickly and tried to calm his pounding heartbeat.
nThe little cultivator exhaled deeply. He didn’t dare to look at that face again, so he lowered his eyes and replied, “You must be mistaken. This one has never met you before, so how could I want to find you?”
n“Can you not want to find someone you haven’t met before?”
nShi Qing didn’t care about the other’s stiff and evasive appearance. He leaned in closer and sniffed lightly before suddenly saying, “You smell good. Aren’t you a man, little cultivator? How come you smell better than some girls?”
n“I,I…”
nMeng Qing’s face became even redder. He grew up in the sect where people always maintained a respectful distance from each other. He had never met someone like Shi Qing, who would come so close and remark on a person’s scent. He had no idea how to respond.
nIt took him quite some time to get out a sentence.
n“This one uses the same brand of soap as all his martial siblings. If you are interested, this one can tell you the name.”
n“That’s not what I’m talking about.”
nShi Qing laughed as he slowly took hold of Meng Qing’s hand. He felt the young cultivator’s body jolt as he came close again and sniffed softly around his cheeks. They were separated by a gap of air, but Meng Qing was so nervous that he couldn’t stop blinking.
n“Your scent is coming from your soul. None of the others have such a fragrance.”
nThe young cultivator wanted to pull back his hand, but for some reason, even though he was considered to be more advanced than his peers, he couldn’t retrieve his hand from Shi Qing’s grasp no matter how hard he tried.
nHe could only flush the colour of fresh blood as he felt this strange man’s firm grip on his hand.
nThe little cultivator was shivering. “Please let go.”
n“Not going to happen.”
nShi Qing brought the fair, slender hand that had been stained by countless Daoist sutras to his lapel.
n“What did you feel, little cultivator?”
nNever having been this close to anyone before, Meng Qing’s nervous heart was just about to beat out of his chest.
nHow could he concentrate on feeling anything? He was too busy trying to pull his hand away. “Please let go. This is against etiquette! If you don’t let go, I’ll have to call someone-”
nThe young cultivator’s voice stopped abruptly. He looked incredulously at Shi Qing, who was smiling at him. The hand on the man’s lapel moved hesitantly.
n“Y-you don’t have a heartbeat!”
nMeng Qing violently withdrew his hand as if he had been scalded. His eyes also sobered up as he quickly turned to his pillow and touched an incantation.
nThe originally embarrassed expression on his face also changed, turning into a stern and fierce one. With knitted eyebrows, he flashed the talisman at Shi Qing, and watched him warily.
n“Demon! How dare you trespass on Qingzhen Temple grounds!”
