Chapter 389 - Silvermoon City’s Number One Master?

Silvermoon City. Inside Roaring Dragon Mercenary Guild’s secret base.

Inside the 200 square meter office that belonged to the guild leader, Roaring Dragon Light Wind was seated and casually chatting with a person.

“Yes, Mr. Wesker, We’ve completely gained control… The girl? Alright, I’ll ensure her safety and provide her with the best of care.”

“Remember, this girl is extremely important for me and General Gordon, so there can absolutely be no problems. General Gordon’s female Special Agent will stay with you until the thing is over. So if you encounter something that is difficult to deal with, ask for her help. But she has a bad temper, so it’s best if you don’t make her angry, otherwise…”

In front of Roaring Dragon Light Wind, the image of Wesker’s emotionless face with his black shades slowly disappeared.

“That NPC woman? Special Agent?”

Roaring Dragon Light Wind’s smile disappeared as he fell into deep thought.

“Boom!”

At that moment, the elegant rosewood door a dozen or so meters in front of him was slammed open by Roaring Dragon Ruinous Star. Roaring Dragon Invincible walked over with a Rare Grade energy robe over his body with Roaring Dragon Ruinous Star with his alloy shield followed closely behind.

Behind them were several panicky Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group members who had failed to stop them from barging in.

“You’ve come online?” Roaring Dragon Light Wind continued to sit on the guild leader’s seat, raising his head and looked at Invincible, not showing any surprise.

“What is all this? Do you know the consequences of everything you’ve done?!” Roaring Dragon Invincible had a grim expression but he did not shout or scream, he only glared straight into Light Wind’s eyes.

“Exactly what you’ve been seeing and hearing. Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group has officially joined the rebel army camp starting tonight. We’ve become the first player faction that joined the rebel army camp. It won’t be long before we become the only player faction remaining within the rebel’s Silvermoon City. Of course, you can choose to not join the rebel army camp, this is your personal freedom. However, the system rules dictate that, unless there are special circumstances, a guild cannot belong to two sides. So, if you want to stay in the Federation camp, I suggest you better leave early. Otherwise, when the rebel army enters the city tomorrow, and take complete control of Silvermoon City…” Roaring Dragon Light Wind finally showed a smile, the smile of a victor.

“Boss, Invincible gave so much for the guild, back when we first established the guild, did you forget everything you said?”

Roaring Dragon Invincible did not show anger on his face as he listened to Light Wind.

“Going to financial conglomerates, buying shares, calculating and scheming, and now you want to kick the boss out of the guild. You’re really willing to give up anything for money and power. Just how many of our brothers and sisters will agree to your choice and join the rebel army camp? What you’re doing is destroying Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group!” Roaring Dragon Ruinous Stat lashed out, unable to contain his emotion.

“Roaring Dragon Invincible, are you still that naive? Even now?” However, Roaring Dragon Light Wind only glanced at him with a smirk. “In a game that has huge commercial benefits like War, there’s simply no way to use emotions to manage a guild like in other games. It’s because those kinds of human relationships are going to pull you down and as a result, the guild will never grow. If there’s an issue with someone, the entire guild would collapse, just like a real world conglomerate or company.”

“To really grow strong in this game, the only important thing is ‘benefits.’ As long as there are real and tangible benefits, a guild will be able to easily keep a group of hundreds of thousands or even millions of members together.” Although Roaring Dragon Light Wind looked at Ruinous Star when he spoke, it was also directed towards Invincible.

When Invincible heard those words, he fell into deep thought. As for Roaring Dragon Light Wind, he continued to speak coldly. “Also, I want to tell you that even if you decide to stay in the guild, you will have to empty your Heavy Armor Warrior captain’s seat. Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group in the future will have strong members take important positions while those who are weak are dismissed. Only through this will the guild have the strength to develop and grow into a large and powerful guild.”

“‘The weak are dismissed?’ F*cker, what the hell do you mean?!” Roaring Dragon Invincible looked grim. There was no way he would stay, but Roaring Dragon Light Wind’s words were definitely a slap in his face.

“It’s because I will assume the role of the Heavy Armor Warrior team captain.” A deep and hoarse voice like metal scraping against metal came from behind the two.

Outside the rosewood door, a 2 and a half meter tall player wearing a large black military coat holding a gray alloy shield walked inside. The alloy shield and the hand holding it were traces of rotten flesh. He had thick veins popping out of his incredibly large arms which were at least twice as big as the average person’s. His face was gray and parts had traces of rot. His greenish-gray eyes were bloodshot.

“Seven Kill, so it’s you… So you’ve been eyeing for my position, huh? This is a f*cking joke! You? A strong person!?” said Ruinous Star cruelly, staring at Seven Kill.

The Heavy Armor Warrior who seemed to have been infected by the T-virus but had managed to retain his consciousness said coldly, “Yes, compared to you, I am strong.”

“F*ck!” Ruinous Star was so pissed off he cursed. He raised his alloy shield and cast Shield Bash at Seven Kill’s chest.

“Idiot!”

Seven Kill laughed coldly, not moving his body as he also cast a Shield Bash using his gray shield.

“Boom!”

“-2877!”

Shield and shield clashed together, creating a deafening sound, sending Ruinous Star flying and slamming into the wall.

He fell on the ground and spat out blood, looking utterly shocked and unable to believe what had happened. His right arm shook unnaturally as a damage number nearing 3,000 appeared above his head.

He was actually sent flying by a player of the same profession while holding his shield, sustaining almost 3,000 damage.

One should know that, though his equipment wasn’t the best, it was still top-class. Even the strongest Light Armor Warriors in War would probably have not been able to reduce so much of his HP in one hit.

“You’ve bitten off more than you can chew!” Seven Kill insulted him while holding his shield in place.

“F*ck!” Ruinous Star, who was still a little reliable, finally reached his breaking point. He got up and charged towards him with his shield raised.

“Really… an idiot!” Seven Kill smirked, raising his shield to initiate another attack.

Invincible stood on the side of the room with a complex expression and did not stop Ruinous Star.

“Boom!”

“-2455!”

Ruinous Star dropped his shield as his head was sent to the ground from the hit from Seven Kill’s shield. He could no longer get up after that attack.

The battle lasted for a little more than ten seconds. A battle between Heavy Armor Warriors should have been long, where the victor was usually hard to decide; but this time the opponent achieved a crushing victory.

“Seven Kill, are you satisfied with your current condition?” Invincible looked at Ruinous Star’s corpse that dropped several pieces of loot and asked Seven Kill, who had the stench of rotten flesh, with a cold and expressionless gaze.

He was the one who recruited Seven Kill. He possessed a rarely seen Grade-A combat talent, and was a player who succeeded in entering the second experiment in the Umbrella Company’s test. After the Silver Leaf Island mission, many people opted out of the test, but he remained inside the Umbrella Company’s lab.

In terms of strength, he was definitely the number one Heavy Armor Warrior of Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group. However, in terms of experience and relationship, Invincible still opted for the more experienced but slightly weaker Ruinous Star as the Heavy Armor Warrior squad captain.

It wasn’t surprising to him that Seven Kill was now standing on Roaring Dragon Light Wind’s side.

“Boss Invincible, I don’t want to fight you right now. But you’re wrong, everyone in the guild wants the guild to grow stronger. But you just want to keep your shares and many rejected investments offers from the board. You should know, the guild isn’t just you. Although we do not have any shares, we should still have the ability to make decisions; it shouldn’t be a guild where only one person’s voice matters.” Seven Kill walked over Ruinous Star’s corpse towards Invincible with his blood-stained shield raised as he spoke.

“I guess they promised to make you a superstar player, right? Right now, you really do have that sort of strength. However, do you think that normal players would like your current appearance? If done badly, you might turn into a joke.” Invincible stood in place and looked at Seven Kill, his tone was insulting.

“Invincible, I didn’t want to fight you originally, but now, I’ve changed my mind. If I kill you in a direct fight, then that’s even more proof that I am Silvermoon City’s number one master!” Seven Kill looked angry, his speech was no longer polite.

“If I don’t die here or kill both you and Light Wind today, I won’t be able to face myself in the future!” Invincible looked calm as he stood beside Ruinous Star’s corpse. He slowly raised the energy converter in his hands.

30 seconds later, Invincible, who held the title “Silvermoon City’s Number One Master,” had lost and died.
