nAs Yomite was about to enter the inn, he felt as if someone was staring at him.
nHe looked around before seeing an old granny and a rather handsome, tall gentleman looking at him with curious looks on their face.
nYomite was very familiar with both of them.
n(The granny I met when I entered the city. I think her name was Madame Ping or something…and that bastard Zhongli!)
nYomite’s eyes narrowed slightly before he approached them.
nHis steps were quiet but firm enough to convey his presence.
n“Ah, Young’un!” The old woman greeted with a small smile. “We’ve been waiting for you.”
nYomite stopped in front of her, “Waiting for me? For what?”
nMadame Ping smiled, “Well…you see…” She turned to the man next to her, “It seems that our dear Zhongli had wronged you. Please accept our apologies.”
nAt that, Yomite raised his eyebrows.
n“Yeah, Zhongli! You better ** out some Mora immediately! I had to pay for my own gift and the stuff you took with you! You just left without paying!? Shit it out now!”
nZhongli gazed at him in wonder, “Shit out? I’m afraid I’m unfamiliar with such terminology. What exactly would your request entail?”
n“…”
nSeeing that Yomite was about to blow a fuse, the old woman cleared her throat, “I apologize again, Young’un, but please allow me to explain.”
nHe crossed his arms, “Go ahead, then.”
nThe granny sighed, “Well, Young’un, the thing is…

nAround the same time…
nAfter interrogating the two drunk men, Keqing decided to head home and rest for a bit, so she made her way through the city streets.
nAfter a couple of minutes, she saw a familiar face walking in front of her.
n“…Ganyu?” She picked up her pace and quickly caught up with her. “Ganyu.”
n“Oh… Lady Keqing.” Ganyu stopped and turned around, but didn’t look too happy to see her. “What may I do for you? Do you have another assignment for me to complete? Just a word and I’ll do it.”
n“No, it’s not work related. I have a question if you don’t mind.”
nGanyu tilted her head. “What is it? If it’s something from Lady Keqing, it must be important.”
n“I heard that you’ve been to the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor to remind them of their quota. Did you perchance meet a tall man called Yomite Hissha?”
nGanyu’s eyes lit up like a star. “Yes! Of course! Although I only ever heard his given name, not his family name.”
n(I see…so he wasn’t lying after all,) Keqing smiled. “Can you tell me what kind of person he is? Or something about him?”
n“Well…” Ganyu started counting on her fingers. “He was very polite, very friendly, outgoing, respectful, kind, had an enjoyable personality and was always laughing… He cheered me up a couple of times and even complimented me at multiple occasions. He really gave me the energy I needed to finish the day and I would love to meet him again to vent about my pro—…O-Oh, I’m sorry…I-I went overboard! I apologize Lady Keqing!”
nKeqing waved off Ganyu’s apology as if saying, it’s fine.
nThen again…
n(This sounds as if she was describing her perfect ideal husband or something akin to that…it was completely different from the rude and insufferable man I met on the street…) Thought Keqing as she looked at Ganyu fidgeting in front of her.
n“Do you perhaps know where he lives?” She quickly added, hoping Ganyu had some idea.
n“Um…He said he was currently residing in one of the inns in the city. He is from Mondstadt and is visiting this place only briefly to watch the Rite of Descension,” Ganyu answered. “May I ask, why does Lady Keqing ask so much about him?”
n“Something funny has happened just now. He beat up two drunk men that attacked him. It was reported to me by the witnesses later, that he was a target of jealousy”
nKeqing kept a tight eye on Ganyu’s expression to see how she reacted.
nAnd to her surprise, her face immediately changed, her eyebrows knitted together, pulling the skin tight across her forehead.
n“How could those miserable drunk heathens dare to attack such a kind person…O-Oops! I-I’m sorry, I… I’m not quite sure how that one slipped out either…Please pardon my behavior, Lady Keqing.”
nGanyu suddenly flushed bright crimson and hurriedly continued,
n“T-To summarize, he is absolutely charismatic, enthusiastic and humorous. A remarkable gentleman! So, of course I really wish to meet him again, perhaps, umm…we could talk about his worries next time.” Her smile was genuine, wide and heartfelt as she looked straight into Keqing’s eyes.
nKeqing couldn’t help but notice Ganyu’s eyes were sparkling.
nThere was definitely more behind the story…
nShe was baffled by the entire situation.
nWas Ganyu so…interested in this stranger…? Was she attracted to him?
nIt was highly unlikely considering Ganyu’s position as the secretary of the Liyue Qixings, not to mention her identity.
nThey weren’t that close, but Keqing was aware that Ganyu simply didn’t have time in day for sleeping, much less a silly thing like romance.
nNo, the correct conclusion was that she admired the kindness of this character, admired him to a great extent and most likely had something in common that sparked this kind of behavior to make friends with him.
nThat made much more sense.
nSo, instead of brooding over her emotions, Keqing cleared her throat,
n“Thank you for answering my questions, Ganyu.”
nThough seeing her uncharacteristic behavior was a little disconcerting, Keqing knew Ganyu wouldn’t let it ruin her professionalism.
nWhat can I say? Amazing could be the only word to describe this fan fic… There’s so many things to point out that makes this a worthwhile read let me list a few of them… -An original MC with zero knowledge about the world itself. This is a rare find in fanfiction and I have no doubt this is a great decision. Since the interactions with MC and his learning of the world and it’s norm is very enjoyable and with it we see characters get more fleshed out as MC learns more about them through interactions, gives it that realistic feeling that most fanfictions in this platform fail to display. -Dope powers. Yomite’s powers are really interesting and adds new dimensions to the story. The Tempus of Particles is a very rarely seen powerup, since it’s like Onoki’s kekkei toutum in Naruto, a very underappreciated ability, it’s really OP and can practically disintegrate anything it’s locked on, Tempus of the Story and Tempus of the Heart aren’t really explained as of yet but I can already see great potential in them so I like how this is going. -The world of Genshin. Honestly, I haven’t played the game but I’ve researched it, and from their I’ve come to love this world and it’s story, knowing gacha games I have no doubt this will take a depressing turn but I hope it would all wind up to a great ending and this fanfic would be able to uphold it if not surpass it, with the author who is backing it I have no doubt it has that surpassing potential. -The Characters and how they are portrayed. This is by far the greatest feature of the ff. The characters feel alive and complement their og counterpart perfectly. The dialogues, the interactions, their individual gestures, behaviors, body language, each itty bitty details are handled carefully to make them individualistic and have their own style. I can easily read a speech and tell which character it is describing, it’s honestly astonishing, at this point, how the author has portrayed them. I love it and hope he can be consistent with it. Some things that may need some improvements… -The writing. For the most part it’s phenomenal writing if compared to most fanfics on this platform. There’s little to no mistakes bit there’s always the occasional misspellings, also sometimes the words and sentences feels a bit jumbled, past and present sentences are mixed and a bit weird to see one paragraph be past and the other be present. Quite possibly it can be because I have not seen any writings of this style so the author maybe right and me wrong. what’s definite is that, this in no way breaks or disrupts the reader experience so hurray to that. Well, that’s all, hope this review helps you in gathering some readers aki and this review, although obviously biased, upholds what I genuinely feel about this fic.. Waiting for dem smuts, fluffs and the journey to relations you’ve promised us… Don’t keep us waiting fam, hope this ff doesn’t die like the old ones because of retards and I appeal to the WN to pls not ban him again, the man is old he can’t take another shock like this.. Aki doesn’t want a 4th time spare the guy plz….
nAfter so long, finally a Genshin impact fanfic, please don’t drop………………………………………………………………………
nSo. Before reading this fanfic I should warn you. This fanfic contains actual words so be careful. Now onto the review. I lied.
nReally nice writing man keep it up! I loved the concept of his reincarnation, same for his powers, those are really original. *cough* I liked the encounter with the waifu too 👍

nIf you drop this ill wish your pillows are warm on both sides, everytime you go out itll rain, everytime you drink you choke And i will wish your phone will never be silent again
nRight ….never.played genshin so I went in raw for this one to sate my boredom. Even though it’s a fanfic of a fandom I don’t know about, the author did a good job of providing explanation as even the mc doesn’t have pre knowledge. We explore the world through his eyes and see how he grows. Story pacing is decent with slow but proper progession. Characters are developed well and I don’t need to rely on fandom knowledge to like them. Mc is a relatively normal guy and is not overpowered. He feels human which is something that can’t be said for half the fics here. The love interest is not clear yet and it seems it will be a slow romance which is a good thing as fast romance usually ruins plot. Updates are alright I guess, I just read this in one sitting so I don’t know. Worldbackground is done really well as even people who don’t know genshin can enjoy the fic. Overall a rare top tier fic that doesn’t need to stay in the rankings to stay relevant. I want to play genshin but my core2duo pc is s hit.
