Chapter 1903 - 1903 Invitation for Cooperation

1903 Invitation for Cooperation

Hint: Player’s zombie clone (Licker) killed Demon Beetle. The player gained 22 survival points…

Hint: Player’s zombie clone activated passive skill, ‘Mutant Infection’. The player expended additional energy points, obtaining a total of 3 zombie clones (Mutants).

As more Demon Beetles were killed, flesh cocoons rapidly formed from the decaying corpses of the Demon Beetles.

The flesh cocoons expanded swiftly until they burst open with holes.

Newly born mutated infected zombies crawled out of these openings, creating a new combat strength.

Very good.

After a few minutes of deadlock, the number of zombie clones began to rapidly increase!

With the growing number of mutated infected zombie clones, the Lickers adjusted their tactics. They continuously leaped into the air, catching the briefly flying Demon Beetles, while the ground zombie clones completed subsequent attacks.

The increase in zombie numbers improved the efficiency. With the rising efficiency, the number of zombie clones also increased significantly.

Under this positive cycle, in just a moment, dense clusters of flesh cocoons sprouted on the ground…

Hint: Player’s zombie clone activated passive skill, ‘Mutant Infection’. The player expended additional energy points, obtaining a total of 2 zombie clones (Mutants)…

Game notifications continued to appear.

Fang Heng, observing the burgeoning flesh cocoons, couldn’t help but let out a yawn.

He felt a bit fatigued.

Considering he had been in the game for a while, the ‘reinforcement’ plan was now progressing well. He decided to continue hacking for a while, then log off to rest and catch his breath. He would return to assess the situation when the time came.

With that plan in mind, Fang Heng commanded hundreds of zombie clones to guard him, taking out a sleeping bag from his backpack.

Offline!

At the Library of the Myriad Worlds, in the guest room, after Fang Heng logged off and opened the game pod, a black shadow dashed toward him.

“Whoosh!”

The phantom shadow rat jumped onto Fang Heng’s shoulder, affectionately rubbing against his neck and emitting squeaky sounds. It pointed at its stomach.

“Hungry?”

Fang Heng blinked, glancing toward the living room. “Where’s Gu Qingzhu? Didn’t she take you to eat something delicious?”

The phantom shadow rat pointed to a nearby room, expressing a look of grievance.

Fang Heng followed the direction of the phantom shadow rat’s indication and saw a sign hanging on the door that read, “Work in progress, do not disturb.” Faint sounds of keyboard typing emanated from the room.

“Looks like she’s busy.”

“Alright, I’ll take you to eat something delicious.” Fang Heng shrugged.

“Whoosh!”

The phantom shadow rat leaped onto Fang Heng’s right shoulder, nodding repeatedly.

“Let’s go!”

Fang Heng, accompanied by the phantom shadow rat, indulged in a hearty meal at the restaurant. Afterward, he made his way to the Commission Inquiry Office on the third floor, intending to inquire about the status of his commissions.

The urgency of resolving the phantom shadow rat’s issues lingered on Fang Heng’s mind. Acquiring the beast-taming skill promptly would undoubtedly bring him peace of mind.

Upon reaching the inquiry desk, Fang Heng inquired, “Hello, could you please check the status of my current commissions?”

“Certainly, sir. Your current credit card balance is 6712 points. You currently have 24 commissions awaiting verification, 4 commissions pending confirmation, and there are 482 unread messages in your inbox.”

“Yes…” Fang Heng let out a soft acknowledgment, pondering why many preferred confirming verification at the eleventh hour. Such a habit was not ideal.

Fang Heng was sure that there was nothing wrong with the design of the magic array. The payment was a little slow, and he was indeed a little unhappy.

Originally, he had intended to undertake more alchemy missions that day to accumulate points. However, the plethora of in-game tasks made it impossible for him to extricate himself for the time being.

“Oh, by the way, any updates on the commission I posted?”

“Allow me to check for you.” The mechanical servant’s eyes processed data swiftly before relaying, “Your mission has been viewed 322 times, and as of now, no one has accepted it. Additionally, you’ve obtained a relevant commission message.”

“What does it say?”

“Please take a look.”

Fang Heng accepted the note from the mechanical servant.

“Hello, esteemed scholar. We apologize for the intrusion. We are a research team from the North District of the Federation’s Rayvomadon University. We are currently engaged in advanced academic research, we were immensely impressed by your assistance in solving a significant challenge. Your proficiency in alchemy is truly admirable. Having come across your commission, we’ve sourced the relevant academic skill for beast taming that you require. In exchange, we hope you can assist us in resolving several other academic challenges in alchemy. If you’re willing, we’d like to arrange a meeting for further discussion. Thank you.”

Fang Heng tucked away the note, bowing his head in contemplation.

The research team from Rayvomadon University…

Well, this was something. They found him in this way.

In reality, after completing his commissioned mission, he obtained numerous bothersome messages, most of which sought collaboration. The clients were willing to offer monetary rewards and more.

After all, accumulating points in the Library of the Myriad Worlds was no easy feat. Many players preferred utilizing the library’s channels for discreet transactions.

However, Fang Heng was currently only lacking in points.

As for the rest…

Indeed, he was still in need of a considerable number of King of Gods’ points.

This was something others couldn’t provide.

Later, after skimming through a dozen or so messages, he found them to be quite similar. Growing weary, he determined to cease further investigation.

After a moment of reflection, Fang Heng promptly replied, attempting to arrange a meeting time with the other party.

He would listen to what they had to say first.

At the very least, Fang Heng believed that he initially used alchemy to complete commissions in exchange for points, which were then used to acquire knowledge in beast taming.

Now, skipping one step in the middle wasn’t out of the question.

Meanwhile, several hundred kilometers away from the Library of the Myriad Worlds, within Rayvomadon University…

“He’s here! There’s news!”

Upon receiving the latest update from Fang Heng, the entire university research team room erupted in excitement.

“Take a look, see what he said!”

This Mr. Amanda was truly remarkable, effortlessly resolving the alchemical magic array problems they faced.

And it wasn’t just for them. Several teachers discovered through exchanges with colleagues in other research teams that Mr. Amanda had generously shared solutions to their problems as well.

Upon closer inspection, they realized Mr. Amanda’s average completion time for commissions was impressively short!

With an 80% success rate, the university research team now aimed to locate this mysterious individual and establish deeper collaboration.

Yet, the challenge lay ahead.

Mr. Amanda’s account was shrouded in mystery.

His account had only recently been created.

Despite leaving messages, there was no response, all of them remaining unread.
