Chapter 521: Meeting the Sage

A few minutes earlier, Naruto found himself inside a vast white space. After looking around for a few seconds, he couldn’t help but sigh deeply.

“Hagoromo Ootsutsuki, I presume?”

Moments later, an old man with white skin and a pair of Rinnegan appeared floating crosslegged in front of Naruto. He had a stoic facial expression and radiated dignity.

“It is indeed I, Hagoromo Ootsutsuki, the progenitor o…”

“Err, sorry to interrupt you, but could you talk normally? I’m already getting headaches from nee-san occasionally talking like that, so please have some pity.”

Hagoromo stopped mid-sentence and started glaring at Naruto, who could only sheepishly scratch his head.

“Hehe, sorry about that.”

Moments later, Hagoromo sighed deeply while his shoulders sagged, and he murmured something about nowadays children not respecting their elders.

“*Sigh* I guess that anomaly told you about me?”

“Yup, nee-san told me about everything. Well, nee-san, Kurama and Hisoka did. On a side note, I 100% agree, but please don’t call her an anomaly. That’s rude.”

Hagoromo frowned a little when he heard the third name Naruto mentioned. Since he could see the whole world, and Hisoka has been Yuna’s student, he naturally knew who that was. Hagoromo has noticed that she would occasionally talk of events that she should not know about, making her another anomaly.

However, compared to the world-ending potential Yuna had, Hisoka was at best slightly talented, so Hagomoro didn’t focus much on her.

“*Sigh* Fine, since you already know everything you need to know, then…”

“Ah, wait a moment, please; I DO have a question.”

Hagoromo’s eyes shone a little when he heard that Naruto had a question for him. He felt a little left out since he couldn’t explain anything to Naruto, so he felt pretty happy that there was something he could help with.

“In that case, ask away.”

“Okay, I only wanted to know what Kaguya looks like. Is she perhaps a beautiful woman?”

Hagoromo almost crash-landed when he heard Naruto’s trivial question before another deep sigh escaped his mouth.

“I have no idea why you ask such a question, but yes, she is.”

This time, it was Naruto’s turn to sigh deeply as he started massaging his forehead.

“*Sigh* Troublesome.”

Question maks popped up above Hagoromo’s head when Naruto called Kaguya being a beautiful woman troublesome, but before he could ask any questions, Naruto resumed talking.

“Anyway, it is how it is. Let’s get this over with. Would you please give me Asura’s inheritance?”

“No, I can’t.”

“Huh? You can’t? I’m not complaining, but isn’t that what is supposed to happen.”

Hagoromo nodded his head before shrugging his shoulders.

“Although that is the case, I’m still telling Sasuke about his fate and the history of this world. I can only hand over both powers at once. Giving you one part first and then handing the second part to Sasuke later is impossible.”

Naruto couldn’t help but facepalm when he realized that he was pretty much stuck here until Sasuke finished listening to Hagoromo’s story.

“Well, since we have nothing better to do, let’s chat. What do you think about ramen? Personally, I think there is nothing better than ramen. N-No, wait, my girlfriends are definitely better than ramen. Yes, yes, definitely!”

Hagoromo chuckled in amusement at Naruto’s antics. He reminded him a lot of his son Asura, which was rather obvious since he was literally his reincarnation.

Additionally, A nostalgic expression appeared on his face when Naruto mentioned ramen, as he remembered a good friend he had. He was obsessed with not only eating ramen but making it as well.

While Hagoromo and Naruto were chatting about everything and nothing, another Hagoromo was floating in front of Sasuke and was telling him about the past and what needed to be done in the future.

Unlike the conversation with Naruto, the atmosphere was somber, and Sasuke listened to Hagoromo’s words with seriousness while concentrating not to miss a single word. Naturally, Hagoromo was elated.

‘This is how it’s supposed to be! Although he is a bit edgy… well, he is very edgy, but look at him listen. Look how serious he is! Such a good child!’

Meanwhile, Sasuke did indeed seriously listen to Hagoromo’s words, but the reason for that had very little to do with “respecting your elders”.

‘An ancient power! The power of the Sage of Six Path! I want it! With this, I surely can defeat her! No matter how much of a monster she is, reaching the level of the Sage of Six Path, who is a god, is impossible. Finally, my desire for revenge will be fulfilled!’

Hagoromo continued his story, and as soon as Sasuke realized who the other person inheriting this power was, he gritted his teeth.

‘Damnit! Why is it Naruto!? Now that I can defeat the sister, the damn brother steps up. No, it is still fine. It could be worse. Yuna could have been the one to get it. I should be able to deal with Naruto.’

Hagoromo continued his story, and a few minutes later, it was time to receive their inheritances as Naruto and Sasuke both shook Hagormo’s hand, accepting what he wanted to gift them.

Back in the real world, Naruto reopened his eyes as a frown appeared on his face. He looked at the hand that now had a white moon on its palm and frowned even deeper.

‘That felt like I was h*lding h*nds with Sasuke.’

GAYYY~

‘Shuddup, stupid fox.’

Hehe, now that I think about it, who did you share your first kiss with in the other timeline again? How suspicious~

A frown appeared on Naruto’s face as he tried to remember what Kurama was talking about, and moments later, he remembered what Hisoka once told him, causing his face to twist in anger.

‘Kurama, don’t force me to bust out the Hashirama x Madara sexy jutsu.’

Do it. I dare you! LET’S DIE TOGETHER, HAHAHA!!!

Hearing Kurama’s roaring laughter, Naruto could only grit his teeth in anger and ignore him. After all, that jutsu was sealed permanently since he would have to make out with his own clones if he were to use it. Worse yet, all clones would be transformed into Madaras and Hashiramas.

Naruto shuddered in terror at the mere thought of doing that.

As Kurama said, he would probably die of shame and disgust if he were to use it.
