Chapter 1331 - Brother-in-Law’s Regards
“Whoa, so Miss Tang went to get medicine for our Director Mo,” someone exclaimed.
Without feeling shy at all, Tang Yueqi proudly raised her chin. “He wouldn’t let me if I offered to go to the pharmacy to get the medicine for him, so I lied. Just take the pills. There are some anti-inflammatory pills and cough pills.”
Mo Liuxi furrowed his brows and glanced at the girl who had been looking at her phone with her back to him. Somehow, he felt irritated.
They had broken up indeed, but she should care a little more about him, shouldn’t she? She was acting like his illness had nothing to do with her at all.
What a heartless woman.
“Just accept Miss Tang’s kindness and take the pills,” Li Ming said to him. “Be nice to yourself. After all, we have some important work to do in the next few days.”
Ji Nuanyi reminded him saying, “You can’t drink alcohol when you’re on pills, so don’t drink. If you want to drink, wait until the alcohol is gone from your system and then take the pills.”
Mo Liuxi stopped short. He didn’t like drinking alcohol, but it was impossible for him to not drink tonight, as so many people were there. “I’ll take them tonight,” he said.
He put the pills into his pocket.
“Don’t drink too much tonight,” Li Ming said to him.
…
The bar was located by the seaside. It was considered the fanciest among all the bars in Venice. The place was luxurious and tastefully decorated with retro-style lights and leather couches. Expensive bottled wines were placed by the walls on both sides, and in the middle, there was a place for drums and singing.
The place wasn’t as noisy as some clubs in China. Sitting there, looking outside the window at the sea, one could relax and be submerged in the scenery.
Yan Su threw herself onto a couch. Mo Liuxi and Tang Yueqi were sitting diagonally in front of her. Tang Yueqi was sitting very close to Mo Liuxi. She talked to him from time to time, then laughed out loud.
She had never talked to Tang Yueqi before, but she could tell that Tang Yueqi was as passionate and outgoing as some Western girls.
Unlike her, Yan Su was like a snail shrinking in its shell.
She envied people like that. For some reason, she was so down at the moment.
She broke up with Mo Liuxi for many reasons, but she had to admit that in the eyes of the other girls, he was still a very attractive man.
He was young, handsome, rich, talented.
She wanted to give him best wishes, but still, she couldn’t bear watching him being with another girl.
She turned away, picked up a glass and took a sip of what was in it. She didn’t find it was alcohol until she swallowed it. It burned her stomach.
“Su, you’re good at drinking. I saw you take a gulp,” Shi Xiang said to her with a soft voice.
“No, I thought it was juice.” Yan Su put the glass down. She had to be extra careful now. She didn’t dare let herself get drunk again.
“I’ll ask someone to get you a cup of warm water.” Shi Xiang stood up to find a waiter.
Mo Liuxi was talking to Tang Yueqi, but his eyes never left Yan Su and Shi Xiang. He hated seeing Shi Xiang be nice to Yan Su.
At that very moment, Nian Junting called him.
He walked to the balcony to answer the call. “What do you want?” he said.
“Just sending regards from your brother-in-law.” Nian Junting sounded delighted. “I guess you’re quite unhappy now.”
Mo Liuxi clenched his teeth.
Nian Junting sounded quite glad knowing that Mo Liuxi was unhappy.
“I can’t believe you actually pulled her into the water. I guess you’re really trying your best to catch her attention.” Nian Junting laughed.
“That’s not true.” Mo Liuxi rubbed his temples.
“Don’t lie to me. I’ve been there,” Nian Junting said. “I called you because I want to teach you a few things.”
