n“Sister Luosang, if anyone dares to bully you in Xia City, if you get in any trouble, or even end up in jail, just call me.” Nian Xi patted her own chest while saying, “There’s nothing I can’t do in this city.”
nLuosang didn’t know how to respond. She thought that it would be better for her to never contact Nian Xi again if she got into such trouble.
n“I’m afraid she’s not gonna contact you ever again,” said Nian Junting in a flat tone. “She’s going back to An City.”
n“An City? I might not be able to help you then,” said Nian Xi regretfully. “My power hasn’t reached that area yet.”
nNian Junting felt speechless. “You don’t even seem to be powerful here in Xia City. You’ve worked for so long, yet you’re still doing odd errands for others. Every time you get into trouble, you still come to me to solve it.”
nNian Xi glared at him and said, “Go to hell.”
nLuosang muffled her chuckle. If she wasn’t seeking revenge or to make her dream come true, she might’ve stayed. The Nian Family Home was a really nice place. In here, she felt the warmth that had escaped from her life a long time ago.

nThe next day, Steward Wu came back to Tianhu Villa.
nLuosang moved out of Nian Junting’s bedroom to sleep in a guest room. She lived with Nian Junting before to take care of him at night, but now, that wasn’t necessary.
nAt night, Nian Junting tossed and turned on the bed. He was having insomnia. He raised his head to look at the area near the window. A bed used to be there, but now, it had been removed. Streams of moonlight poured onto the parquet floor, giving off a dim glow.
nHe lay back down, still feeling a little uncomfortable. He managed to fall asleep, albeit with difficulty. In the middle of the night, he woke up thirsty. He wanted some water, so he called Luosang’s name for a few times, yet no one responded.
nHe sat up angrily. A second later, he recalled that Luosang was sleeping in a guest room and would leave tomorrow.
nIn the morning, he came downstairs with dark circles under his eyes and saw Luosang greeting him smilingly. “Mr. Nian, did you sleep well last night?” she asked while carrying a plate of sweet corn.
n“Look at me and tell me if I slept well the last night.” Nian Junting’s cold eyes swept across Luosang’s face. Unlike him, she slept quite well. Her dull face had a beautiful luster today, and her lips looked soft and moisturized. She didn’t seem to be sad about leaving him at all. That didn’t make sense to him.
n“It seems that you had a good sleep,” he said.
nShe failed to detect his sarcastic tone, but responded smilingly with, “Yeah, I slept through the whole night since I didn’t need to wake up to help you with the bathroom or bring you water.”
nNian Junting’s face turned even more sullen after he heard her words, and he said, “What do you mean? Are you trying to say that you couldn’t sleep well before because of me?”
nLuosang didn’t know how to answer his question.
n‘Isn’t that obvious?’ she thought.
nLuosang didn’t understand why Nian Junting said that, but thinking that she would be leaving soon, she hurriedly said with a soft voice, “That’s not what I meant. Being able to take care of you has been an honor of mine, Mr. Nian.”
n“An honor indeed. You’ve taken advantage of me a lot,” said Nian Junting with a complicated look. “Since I was little, no one had ever touched my… private area as frequently as you have.”
nLuosang felt embarrassed. Even though she had gotten used to doing that, her face was still blushed at the mention of it.
nSeeing her blushed face, Nian Junting suddenly felt better. His lips slightly twisted as he continued, “So… you should be satisfied, and leave with no regrets.”
nAgain, Luosang didn’t know how to respond.
n“Eh… Mr. Nian, please have some breakfast. I’ll be leaving afterward.” She felt that she would go crazy if this conversation continued.
n“How will you leave?” Nian Junting asked, then pressed his lips together.
n“I don’t have a lot of stuff, so I’ll take the bus, then change to the subway,” Luosang said.
n
