nRiley assured the communicator repeatedly. He invited Xi Ning out of politeness at first, so he didn’t expect him to come, how could they let loose if he really came? But what Louis said was equivalent as an order, and Riley had no choice but to obey.
nSo in the evening, Louis led Xi Ning to the leisure area of
nthe spaceship, which had already been arranged with tables and chairs in a circle, and Riley’s name and “happy birthday” were pasted on the wall inside the bar.
nNot sure where they were able to get a set of stereos and colorful lamps, but when the white lights in the area were turned off, it looked like they were in a real bar.
nAfter seeing it, Louis frowned and wanted to tell them to act normal, but saw that there was no repulsed expression on Xi Ning’s face as he looked around curiously.
nRiley specially prepared the upper seat for Louis, and also specially moved the chair he usually sat in in the front hall.
nXi Ning saw that they respected Louis, or were afraid of him, but Louis wasn’t very vicious towards him.
nThe chair was very big, and Louis asked Xi Ning to sit with him. Food and drinks were brought to the table one after another. When all the people invited by Riley arrived, the birthday party officially began.
nDue to the presence of Louis and Xi Ning, many pirates were very cautious. After Louis began to move his chopsticks and Riley toasted others one by one, the atmosphere finally became much more cheerful.
nThe empty space in the middle was used for performances. Several people sang and danced messily in it. Louis had been observing Xi Ning’s reaction, and he was relieved after confirming that he didn’t feel annoyed.
nRiley also came to their table. Xi Ning only drank juice, but it was impossible for Louis not to drink, and others would also come over to have toast with him.
nXi Ning saw that he drank several cups but still looked the same as usual, and it was inappropriate to stop him on this occasion, so he lowered his head and drank his juice silently.
nHalfway through the party, the three-tiered birthday cake was delivered. Everyone sang birthday songs casually and urged Riley to cut the cake. Riley cut a piece with the most fruit on it and gave it to Louis and Xi Ning first.
nWhen Xi Ning picked up the small fork and was about to eat it, Louis leaned over with the smell of alcohol and dragged the cake to his side, pinching the back of Xi Ning’s neck and said lazily, “Want to eat?”
nXi Ning touched the tip of his nose. “How much did you drink?”
nLouis picked up a small piece of cake and put it near Xi Ning’s mouth, but when Xi Ning came closer, he put it into his own mouth.
n“If you want to take anything from me, you have to exchange it,” Louis said, and lowered his head to pick up another piece of cake. “What do you want to exchange for it?”
nLouis glanced at his lips from time to time. Xi Ning already saw through his intention, but there were so many people here, he didn’t want to kiss him.
n“I don’t have anything valuable on me, and I don’t know how to clean or repair the spaceship,” Xi Ning glanced at the pirate who was singing an unknown song in the center. “But I can sing, do you want to hear me sing?”
nLegend had it that a mermaid’s singing is so alluring that it could even deceive people’s hearts. Louis was stunned for a moment and refused, “No.”
nXi Ning simply refused to eat and pushed him away. “Then eat it yourself.”
nLouis took a few bites, put down his fork and came over to hug Xi Ning tightly. “Kiss me.”
nThere were already some people looking at them, Xi Ning pushed his face away. “Why should I kiss you?”
nUnder the influence of alcohol, Louis was not sober. He pinched Xi Ning’s chin and leaned towards him. “No reason.”
nXi Ning covered his own face. The smell of alcohol around his nose reminded him of some bad memories. The pirate who went to his room a few days ago was also drunk, and Louis was pulling his hand away with force to kiss him. Xi Ning’s resistance became stronger and stronger, and he reached out and pushed him hard.
nLouis was drunk and was too focused on Xi Ning. He was pushed down unexpectedly from the chair and sat on the ground. The table behind him was also knocked over, and all the cutlery and glasses on it fell to the ground.
nEveryone at the scene was silent. Someone turned off the music and turned on the lights. Louis sat on the spot in a daze, reaching out his hands and pressing his eyebrows.
nRiley was so frightened that his legs were trembling. He just hoped that Louis wouldn’t release his anger on him, while most of the others were just watching.
nXi Ning wanted to help Louis up, but the sight around him made him a little flustered. Louis eventually got up slowly by himself.
nHe hadn’t drunk too much alcohol, but he was basically sober after the fall. He looked at Xi Ning complicatedly. He felt very uncomfortable, but he still went up to hug Xi Ning and calmly said, “Let’s go back to sleep.”
nWhen passing Riley, Louis said, “Have fun.”
nThe figures of the two leaving soon disappeared. Riley breathed a sigh of relief, he told everyone to continue the party with a smile, and picked up the fallen table.
nAfter returning, Louis asked Xi Ning to take a bath first while he sat at the table with his head up and eyes closed. Xi Ning hesitated and wanted to speak but at the end he took his pajamas and went into the bathroom.
nAfter Louis finished bathing, he poured a glass of water while only wearing his pants. He took a few sips and walked to the bedside to sit down. Xi Ning hadn’t gone to sleep yet, and was looking at him with half of his face covered with a blanket.
nLouis gently rubbed the top of Xi Ning’s hair and pointed to the bed at the back. “Do you want to sleep over there tonight, or sleep with me?”
nHe guessed that Xi Ning was mostly disgusted with how impatient he was, or maybe he acted like that because he was drunk. Although he already took a bath, if he held him to sleep tonight, he would still smell like alcohol.
n
