nGu Ren was unaware of Ye Zhi’s thoughts. He went into the bathroom, turned on the shower letting the hot water pour down, then he lifted his head and let it streamed down his face.
nWhile taking a shower, he vaguely heard the sound of the door opening. He turned off the shower to hear the sound clearly and seemed to hear footsteps outside.
nGu Ren didn’t move and continued to listen attentively. After a few seconds, that person seemed to have left as there was no movement outside.
nAfter thinking for a while, he turned on the shower and the hot water poured down again.
nGu Ren came out after taking a bath and casually put on a T-shirt. He was wearing slippers which rubbed against the ground. He opened the door as Gu Ren wondered what had happened earlier.
nGu Ran looked around and his expression stilled for a moment.
nOn the tabletop, was a cup of dark-colored drink and a note next to it. He walked towards the table.
nHe picked up the note and looked down. A thin line of words was written on the note: “This is ginger coke. Drink it while it’s hot.”
nGu Ren immediately recognized that this was Ye Zhi’s handwriting.
nWhen they signed the contract that day, he saw Ye Zhi’s handwriting and found it very beautiful.
nGu Ren had just taken a shower and his ebony hair was wet. A few strands were hanging on the side of his eyes and his expression was indistinct. Gu Ren put down the note aside and glanced at the cup.
nAfter a few seconds, he picked up the cup, raised his finger and tapped lightly on the cup edge. The heat in the cup edge transmitted to his finger.
nGu Ren raised his head and took a few sips. The warm water ran through his throat as if it could dispel all the coldness.
nThe next day, Gu Ren was feeling really energetic. He and Ye Zhi were ready to go out. Ye Zhi specially told Gu Ren to wear the new clothes she bought for him so that it might be able to prevent the disaster.
nGu Ren did not refuse.
nThe chauffeur was driving while Gu Ren and Ye Zhi were seated at the back. Ye Zhi looked into the distance and saw several cable cars in the sky. From time to time, several people slid down from the top of the mountain.
nYe Zhi looked at Gu Ren with bright eyes, “Lets try the zipline.”
nGu Ren, “OK.”
nThere were some tourists on the zipline attraction. Gu Ren and Ye Zhi wore hats and masks to make sure that no one recognized them.
nYe Zhi went to the top and looked down. Looking at the height, she suddenly felt a bit terrified.
nGu Ren saw that Ye Zhi wanted to have a ride but was afraid. He said in a low voice, “I am also very interested in this. How about I go first?”
nYe Zhi replied after thinking for a while, “Okay.”
nWhile helping Gu Ren wore the safety gears, the foreigner said to Ye Zhi, “This is very safe. Don’t be afraid.”
nGu Ren put on his safety belt and was about to go on the ropeway. At this time, Gu Ren noticed that something was wrong. One of the straps suddenly fell down.
nThe belt broke for no reason.
nWhen Ye Zhi saw it, she was so scared that her heart almost jumped out of her throat. Ye Zhi took Gu Ren’s hand and said firmly, “We are not doing this anymore.”
nGu Ren almost got on the zipline. He didn’t expect that the safety belt would suddenly break just before he left. Fortunately, he didn’t have an accident.
nForeigner who just finished speaking, “…”
