nAlmost Scaring My Parents Witless!

nAs she looked at the huge creature in front of her, Wang Mang’s old grandmother was stunned for a long time.

nEventually, she raised her head and looked at Wang Mang. “Are.. Are you my grandson?”

n“Grandma, it’s me.” Wang Mang nodded his large head.

n“My boy, what happened to you? Did you become like this because your soul was eaten by a demon…?”

n“Oh, what did our Wang family do to deserve this? How could you do this to my darling grandson…?”

nThe old woman’s voice trembled as she sobbed. She reached out her wrinkled hand and stroked Wang Mang’s huge body.

nWang Mang was struck speechless by his grandmother’s words.

nOnly then did he remember that his grandmother’s generation was much more accepting of these things than modern people would be.

nBesides, the older generation was extremely superstitious. They always believed that the gods were constantly watching them.

nTherefore, it was much easier for Wang Mang to reunite with his grandmother than he had imagined.

nWang Mang said softly, “Grandma, at least I’m still alive!”

nAfter hearing Wang Mang’s words, the old lady nodded. “Yes, you’re right. Why, you might even become a snake spirit in the future!”

n“If you’re lucky enough to win the favor of an immortal, you might even become a deity one day!”

nThe thought of that possibility greatly improved the old lady’s mood. She affectionately stroked Wang Mang’s basin-sized head.

nShe looked at Wang Mang, who seemed extremely ferocious to outsiders, with nothing but love in her eyes.

nNo matter what her grandson turned into, he was still her beloved grandson.

nWang Mang did not call her out on her misunderstanding. So what if Grandma was being superstitious? It did not matter as long as she was happy.

n“Grandma, I want to see Mom and Dad,” Wang Mang said after some hesitation.

nHis grandma nodded her head repeatedly. “Yes, of course. I’ll tell your father right now.”

nShe trembled as she took out her phone and called Wang Mang’s parents.

nAfter the call went through, Wang Mang did not say anything the entire time. He only listened excitedly to his father’s familiar voice on the phone.

nGrandma simply said that she had something important to tell his parents and asked them to come home tomorrow. However, she did not mention anything about Wang Mang turning into a giant python.

nAfter hanging up the phone, Grandma looked at Wang Mang and said, “My boy, come back to your room and get some sleep!”

nWang Mang smiled bitterly. “Grandma, there’s no need for that. I’ll sleep in the forest in the backyard!”

nGrandma scolded him. “That won’t do!”

nWang Mang laughed dryly. “Grandma, I’ve already turned into a giant python. It’s not convenient for me to stay in the house.”

nThe old lady still firmly disagreed. “Nonsense! What if someone discovers you out here? What if they try to kill you?”

nHelpless, Wang Mang could only relent. He curled up his huge body and slept in the second-floor room that used to be his.

nEven after Wang Mang’s death, the old lady still kept Wang Mang’s things and daily necessities right where he left them out of a sense of nostalgia.

nThe furnishings in Wang Mang’s room were the same as usual, but there was no dust anywhere in the room. Clearly, his grandmother often came to his room to clean it.

nAfter returning to his room, Wang Mang was filled with emotions. He finally felt the warmth of his former home.

nAfter two months of living as a cold-blooded animal, Wang Mang had almost forgotten that he was once a human.

nFortunately, now that he had reunited with his family, he did not have to live like before.

nEarly the next morning.

nGrandma personally cooked a few delicious dishes for Wang Mang to eat.

nHowever, Wang Mang was exasperated to find that this food was completely unpalatable to him now.

nNot only did his sense of taste reject his grandmother’s cooking, the food could not even provide him with any evolution points.

nTherefore, Wang Mang had no choice but to tell his grandmother the truth. He said that he liked to eat live prey.

nGrandma thought for a moment and felt that Wang Mang was right. How could a python eat rice?

nMoreover, her grandson might even become an immortal in the future, right?

nHe was already a snake demon, after all!

nThat was right. In the old lady’s eyes, her grandson, Wang Mang, had already turned into a huge python, yet he could still speak human language. That clearly meant he was a snake demon.

nHence, the old lady thought for a moment and asked Wang Mang, “In that case, should I buy you some live chickens and ducks?”

nWang Mang immediately shook his head and said, “Grandma, it’s fine. I can go without food for a long time after eating. It won’t be a problem even if I don’t eat for half a month.”

nSeeing that Wang Mang hurriedly refused, the old lady thought for a moment and did not force the matter. “Alright, my boy. When your father comes, I’ll talk to him.”

nHearing this, Wang Mang nodded. He still needed his father’s help to become stronger!

nIn the afternoon, Wang Mang’s parents arrived.

nHow did Wang Mang know?

nHe could hear the sound of a car approaching from miles away.

nThrough the window, Wang Mang saw his parents, who he had not seen for two months, walking over with some supplements.

nSoon, Grandma went down to open the door.

nWhen his parents walked into the room and saw the haggard old lady, they felt even guiltier.

nEver since their son passed, the old lady had been depressed, her health deteriorating every day.

nYet for some reason, she made them rush back home today.

nThey knew that the old lady was not in good health, so they came back in a hurry.

n“Mom, are you alright?” Wang Long asked worriedly, and so did Li Juan.

nHearing this, the old lady shook her head, looking at her son and daughter-in-law. She said slowly, “Go upstairs! My grandson wants to see you.”

nMr. and Mrs. Wang were stunned. They looked at the old lady in shock.

nWang Long could not help but worry. “Mom, don’t overthink things. If Mang’er were still alive, he would want nothing but the best for you.”

n“Shut up! Of course I know that my grandson wants the best for me!” The old lady immediately scolded him, “You unfilial son, do you think I’m going senile?”

nMr. Wang, “???”

nMrs. Wang: “╯▽╰.”

nThey did not dare to say anything else and could only remain silent.

nThe lady explained everything to the two of them.

nAfter hearing her story, Mr. and Mrs. Wang felt that she must be hallucinating.

nShe must be missing her grandson too much!

nWhen she saw the looks on her son and daughter-in-law’s faces, how could the experienced old lady not know what they were thinking?

nTrembling with anger, she grabbed a feather duster from the side and swung it at Mr. Wang’s head, cursing, “You… You unfilial son!”

nAt the same time, Wang Mang, who had heard the commotion, came out of his room and arrived at the railing on the second floor.

nLooking at the familiar figures of his parents downstairs, Wang Mang suppressed the excitement in his heart and shouted at his parents downstairs, “Dad, Mom! Grandma was telling the truth.”

nWhen they heard Wang Mang’s familiar voice, both Mr. and Mrs. Wang froze.

nHe was their son, after all. How could they forget his voice?

nThey even thought that they were hallucinating!

nHowever, when Mr. and Mrs. Wang looked up, they saw a spine-chilling scene that almost scared them witless.

n
