Chapter 44 - A Husband Meets Other Death God's Disciples!

nThe Trickster Gods are diverse in tricking others. The methods are one thing, but the results are also another. In Kyoya's case, the divine power of the summoning circle had imbued his body with the trickster divine energy that enjoyed his confusion.
nIt kept misleading him, and also tightly stuck close to Kyoya's current domineering emotions. The lust was the first thing, but now, Kyoya firmly wanted to prove himself as a temporary worker in the death god's castle.
nBecause the souls were already confirmed to get a second chance, their memories and thus selves were completely meaningless. The only one that could make some things funny and awkward was Vera who scribbled on the desk with everything she got...
nTu! Tu! Tu!
nHer pen was as if drifting on that paper. It was very legible and Kyoya felt like he can guess the letters better by peeking at Vera's desk. The other hand was holding the paper softly and her whole posture was screaming with the experience.
n'No, no... It would be too rude...'
nFirst of all, something was wrong with his system. It was also annoying to go with its every wish and even now, the eyes of the husband could see through the clothes of Vera... Why would he succumb to his system when it was so supportive of him and his wife?
nA new resolution flooded Kyoya's mind. The unknown interference could only fool him. There was no way for the soul to change its origin after all. Looking deeply at the soul, Kyoya swore and reminded himself about his wife.
nThe colors slowly began fading, but not too much.
nEven so, Kyoya smiled. The colors that were fading were only two with the other one not even faltering. It means that this one should be the real one and thus, he wrote 'human' on his paper. Then, Kyoya began learning about gods.
nEvery human or more like, every world pillars had different floors and believers here... The Trickster God's influence found it hard to lay other letters on the names of the gods meaning that Kyoya had no problems here.
nHe fought with his sharp eyes and the rebellious system, then some time passed like that.
n-
n
"You are a lucky one.
"
nAfter Kyoya ended his task, he glanced at Vera who suddenly spoke up. All this time, she was eyeing him and his pen to which she hadn't found any flaws. Her eyes were also discerning the origins of the soul and as he didn't fail even once, Vera naturally shifted back to focus on her work wholeheartedly.
nBut, it was time for the break.
nThe reason for that is naturally because Vera is like Xaya, one of the people under Death God who is alive. She needs some time for herself as well! She stood up, then took Kyoya to the hall where people like her gather...
nThe 'lucky' part was because such a break happens every fifty years...
nThere are twelve such and Kyoya could meet them all except Xaya relatively soon.
n
"Ho, ho, ho~~ Is this the new guy that Xaya had summoned? I heard the rumors that he is the husband!
"
nMost of them spared only a little glance at Kyoya, then dug into their food. Around half of them kept their backs straight while eating slowly while the other half didn't even think about courtesy or any amenities.
nOf course, someone was interested in the husband!
nIt was the man clad in the black clothes with a small black hat spinning on his finger. He was calmy drinking some wine and enjoyed the new face coming in. By instantly mentioning the rumors, the man called Wron didn't give any time for Kyoya to introduce.
nHe had to introduce himself as a husband and it was slightly embarrassing. Even so, Kyoya had already done it once, so he came closer to Wron and just extended his hand.
n
"I am Kyoya, Xaya's husband. Nice to meet you.
"
n
"Nice to meet you, nice to meet you~~
"
nHe then added his name and gestured Kyoya and Vera to sit in front of him. The strange glint passed through his eyes when he saw both of them sitting in a unison.
n
"Hey, you haven't introduced herself? Come on, you should also find something else to do other than work, Vera.
"
n
"Nothing worthy can be done in the death castle.
"
n
"Ah, this is disappointing. I can pass you some of my favorite copies.
"
nWron had a lot of similar talks every fifty years. But he usually complained without taking out his favorite copies... This sudden action had made other ladies and two-man to shift their attention to them.
nThe aforementioned copies were the books that Wron usually reads in between his work. Humanity is so huge in numbers, and even now, the astronomical amount of them is both dying and coming into the world.
nHe knew that no matter how hard he works, the amount won't lessen at all.
nSo his usual work period is split into two. It's either reading or work in Wron's life except for the time when he has to go outside to deliver the accumulated belief to other gods.
n
"I recommend you to start the one in the middle.
"
nThree copies of books were lingering below Kyoya and Vera's chin. The books had covers of voluptuous ladies with the man's claws grasping their private body parts. It doesn't need to be said, but those women were all naked.
nIncluding the man.
nThose were clearly erotica books!
n
"Humans are the ones who write the best books, you know... Gosh, even those who don't know anything about other races! Their imagination is just superb.
"
nAfter leaving that small comment, Wron added the most important part.
n
"I have recommended you those books because all of them emphasize the most important part in our lives - 'You don't have to be in a relationship to enjoy some body's warmth'. Heh~~
"
nAt this point, Wron's spinning hat arrived in front of his face. The man could feel the aura of his acquaintance turning cold and deadly! As a vein popped out on Vera's temple, she grasped the plate with food and threw it straight at the black-haired man!
n
"Asshole.
"
n
"They say something else though.
"
n
"Asshole.
"
nKyoya could only look at the new acquaintance from the side. He was feeling like this man is similar to his current system, trying to tease and enjoy the break in a perverted way! Thus, the husband decided to keep himself away from him!
n
