Chapter 395 – A Brief Encounter

nI checked my watch and it was 6:30. There was still an hour before Su Qiao arrives. If I moved quickly enough, there should be enough time for him to take the pictures and kick him out.

nShu Zhe first went to the washroom to wash off the lipstick I smeared on his face. He began to haggle over the price immediately upon his return.

nThe more he revealed, the more he wanted to be paid. I only planned on paying him ¥200, so in the end he chose the least revealing outfit.

nA laced chiffon blouse, a miniskirt, plus a pair of white dance shoes feminized Shu Zhe completely.

nThe outfit was one of our store’s goods, but I can’t remember the name or when we bought it.

nBut I personally feel it’s an outfit that’s full of life. Since ‘Southland Berries’ is the representative for our store, we can’t always be uploading revealing photos (not that Shu Zhe has anything he could even reveal). Why not go back to the basics and show daily life pictures of Southland Berries. It could make this fictional person seem more realistic.

nIt’s strange. Ever since I decided I would change the Lipstick Balloons to Compassion Balloons, and decided to donate 10 to the specials needs school, I’ve gained more enthusiasm for making money. I’ve also felt less guilty for deceiving the customers with a trap. Is this the same principle as corrupt politicians donating to charities?

nNo wait, I’m still better than corrupt politicians because the money I’m donating is actually being put to good use!

nShu Zhe walked out elegantly from behind the screen as Southland Berries, wearing a brown wig, dance shoes, and evenly-distributed lipsticks.

nEven though the lipstick was still a tacky red color, the way he applied it made him seem more fashionable and flirtatious.

n“It’s pretty easy since I sometimes help Xiao Li apply lip balm.”

nEnough! I thought this outfit would seem fitting as everyday clothes, but it looks flirtatious after being worn by you! It’s no different than the Japanese high school girls who do enjo kōsai!

nShu Zhe admired himself in the mirror for a while before sitting at the edge of the bed and placing a balloon next to my mouth signalling me to begin taking pictures.

nAlthough I know Shu Zhe is male, I can’t help but admit that her alluring red lips touching the balloon along with her attracting outfit produced shocking photos.

n“Not bad, right?” Shu Zhe walked over to admire the photos. I suddenly became conscious of the fact he was still wearing the spiderweb underwear he change on earlier. The entire female outfit made him seem even more feminine, even his voice could be passed off as genuine.

nIf this was the first time I met Shu Zhe, I would refuse to believe he was a male.

nOnce when I was riding a train with my father in the fourth grade, we had a really beautiful woman from university living in our cabin. I looked at her longingly for a hundred kilometres before she opened her mouth and shocked both me and my dad.

nIt was the voice…. of a man. He didn’t have an Adam’s apple yet sounded as if he did have one. No one would believe it was a beautiful woman based on the voice. It was the first time I was disillusioned about women as a child.

nIn contrast, Shu Zhe is 100% a fake, but he could give beautiful memories to many young men.

nThen, I took a couple more shots of Shu Zhe and wanted to pick the best shots, but then my phone rang.

nThe caller display said it was Su Qiao, so I picked up. “Hello.”

n“Uh… Xiao Ye? I’m downstairs but wanted to ask if you had ginger, garlic, and scallions. If not, I can head to the supermarket and buy some…”

n

n

n“No need.” I said, “I already said you don’t need to buy anything. I have all the ingredients in the fridge, but I’m just lacking someone to cook, so come on up.”

nI hung up and looked at Shu Zhe’s puzzled face before I realized something was wrong.

nI looked at my watch and it was only 7. Su Qiao came half an hour earlier and was heading up towards my unit! So that means Shu Zhe is trapped in my house.

nHow would I introduce Shu Zhe to Su Qiao? If I said he was my classmate, Su Qiao would assume Shu Zhe is my girlfriend. His cover would be blown if they had a conversation. It would already be disgusting for me if we were mistaken as a couple.

nAnd how would I introduce Su Qiao to Shu Zhe? She’s neither a relative or a friend, so it’s weird for her to come all this way just to cook for me. If Shu Zhe goes home and gossips to his sister, then wouldn’t my reputation drop again?

nI didn’t have much time to think, so I made a decision: I couldn’t let the two of them meet.

nThus I grabbed Shu Zhe’s hand, pulled him to the entrance and began pushing him out the door.

n“Bro Ye Lin, what are you doing?” Shu Zhe brown hair bounced up and down as fear covered his face.

n“I have a sudden guest coming over, so you have to leave.”

n“Wearing… this? Are you trying to kill me?”

n“Don’t worry, I guarantee you won’t be recognized. It’s too late to change your clothes anyway.”

nShu Zhe was a bit happy when I guaranteed no one would recognize him.

nI took his men’s shirt and pants and stuffed it into a bag and threw it at him.

n“If you move fast, you might even be able to get home before your sister.”

n“What? What if she’s already waiting at home, then wouldn’t I be caught red-handed?”

n“Then you can change on the way home. Didn’t you say you wanted to eat fast food, how about you eat some first then borrrow their washroom…”

n“There’s no way I…. would go and order food wearing this.”

n“Hurry up and leave. You can call a cab, I’ll reimburse you.”

nI shoved him from the back. As he heard footsteps coming closer from downstairs, he could only sigh:

n“You always bully me, how come I don’t see you treat others like this.”

nThat’s because you have the worst character among all the people I know! It feels like I’m enacting justice every time I hit you.

n“Um.. the call earlier was a young woman, right? If you’re in such a rush to chase me out, then is she perhaps a rumored…. call girl?”

nHave you ever seen a call girl also cook and do laundry?

n“Since you currently manage the online store’s money and you’re also living alone, it’s reasonable to have these thoughts…”

nCan you understand it that easily? Haven’t you called me your brother-in-law? Is it understandable for me to invite a call girl to my house?

nShu Zhe continued to explain:

n“But you can only do it while you haven’t married my sister and it has to be kept a secret. If you did it after marriage, you will definitely die.”

nI don’t need you to warn me. If I married your sister, why would I still go find a call girl? Why would I go eat kimchi after eating a banquet?

nShu Zhe helplessly walked down the stairs. He would definitely bump into Su Qiao, but it’s fine as long as they don’t meet in my house.

nToday Su Qiao was wearing a sling top with skinny jeans. She dressed up carefully before she left, but maybe it’s because of the insomnia, but she seemed tired.

nEven though I’ve already stressed she didn’t need to to buy anything, she was still carrying a basket of fruits.

n“The girl from earlier…” Su Qiao looked downstairs, “She’s beautiful, is she your neighbour?”

nI feigned ignorance: “I don’t know, never seen her before. Maybe she came to the wrong floor.”

nI invited Su Qiao inside. When she took off her shoes and wore slippers, I noticed she painted her toenails red.

n“I came a bit earlier cause I was afraid you would be hungry. Do you have an apron I could borrow?”

n

n

nI embarrassingly pointed at the dirty apron that no one used or washed in half a month.

nSu Qiao wasn’t picky and put it on. She selected a few ingredients from the fridge and headed into the kitchen.

nI sat in the living room and watched the girl who had previously hurt me work hard. I didn’t feel really feel apologetic compared to when the class leader cooked for me.

nBut it was clear Su Qiao went through a lot of hardships as a child. Other than practice acrobatics, she must have done a lot of housework too. I can tell her kitchen skills weren’t developed overnight based on how she handles the wok.

nA girl older than me by three years wearing a dirty apron with a long braid brought me back the sense of a normal and ordinary daily life.

nEver since Ai ShuQiao abandoned her husband and son, we’ve never had a woman cook in our kitchen. If Xiao Qin found out Su Qiao was the first woman to cook in our kitchen, she would definitely be jealous.
