Chapter 455 An Uncontrollable Subordinate

n
nMeanwhile, as William and Mr. Death made their own plans... Eli on the other hand was loosing his wit's end instead.
nEli was currently staying in a luxurious inn, within Bell Town.
nThis town was just a week and a half away from his official base, that was given to him by Alec.
nAfter months and weeks of travelling, he had finally arrived in the town.
nSoon, he would reach White-Wood City.
nBut for now, his horses and men needed to rest for a bit... as they had been riding nonstop for 2 days now.
nIn addition to that, there was also another major reason why he stopped here.
n.
n
"Your highness... the letter has arrived.
" Said Zarius, his most trusted aide.
nEli calmly took the letter from the tray while crossing his legs, and began reading patiently.
nAfter reading it, he then tapped his fingers on his chair before passing the letter to his aide.
n
"Zarius.... what do you think?
"
n
"My lord... I think he's finally lost it.
"
n
"Indeed.... he has.
"
nEli looked out his window while seemingly feel in thought.
nWhat the hell was wrong with Slytherin Cord?
nEli was deeply regretting having this psycho work for him.
nOver the years, Slytherin had been getting too overly obsessed with The Ghostly Prince.
nThe man had even scared his own subordinates silly with his mad obsession.
nAnd it was due to this very obsession, that Slytherin no longer listened to Eli anymore.
nHe no longer took missions from Eli, except those that involved the Ghostly Prince in them.
nIt was getting very hard to manage Slytherin, and this was the problem.
n8 months back, Slytherin had stopped reporting his whereabouts to Eli.... and also didn't respond to his letters too.
nHe then sent his men to look for Slytherin for fear that maybe his enemies might have gotten to him.
nIt wasn't that he was worried about the guy.
nNope!
nWhat he was truly worried about, were all his plans and secrets coming to light.
nSo he sent his men to search for Slytherin everywhere.
nBut when he finally found the bastard, the ingrate told him sternly that he was busy.
nBusy?
nOne would think that they were in a relationship with the way Slytherin was acting.
nWas he some dude chasing after a woman so as to win her love?
nWhat the hell?
nEli truly felt as his patience was thin with this dude.
nBut since he had initially planned for Slytherin to take out The Ghostly Prince, he just held in his rage and decided to watch the show.
nNow, the issue was that the show had been blocked.
nHe couldn't watch it unless he sent in more spies to get as much information as they could.
nSlytherin had been too secretive as of late, and he had no idea why.
nAll he knew was that the psycho had kidnapped some middle-aged woman with warts and scars in her face.
nHe didn't know what that woman was, but seeing how obsessed Slytherin was with the ghostly prince.
nHe instantly knew that the women would definitely have some sort of connection with the Ghost Prince.
n.
n
"Your highness... I think that keeping him alive will only make it worse for us to deal with later.
"
n
"Hmm... you have a point, but you're forgetting one main factor.
nThe Ghostly Prince!
"
nZarius looked at the smiling Eli confusedly.
n
"Think about it deeply.
nDo you think that the Ghostly Prince would allow him to survive after the bastard touched someone dear to him?
nOf course not!
nThey would obviously fight it out.
nSo we need the bastard alive to deal with the Ghostly Prince.
"
n
"But your highness...
nBased on how many times the Ghostly Prince has beaten Slytherin at his one game, won't he just loose as usual?
nWhy does his highness feel like this time will be any different?
" Zarius said with a hinge of disdain in his time, when speaking about Slytherin.
n
n
nIn his mind, the dude was a complete loser, who had continuously lost all his battles with just one dude.
nWhat miraculous result could come out from such a man?
nIn short, his only accomplishment or advantage that he had ever gotten over the Ghostly Prince.... was from kidnapping that lady.
nSo in Zarius' eyes, Slytherin was no better than a general who went to war and came back defeated multiple times.
nIf it were him, wouldn't he have already felt with the Ghostly Prince by now?
nHmph!
nBut Zarius had forgotten that the Ghostly Prince wasn't any ordinary man.
nBecause if Slytherin were to tackle other major missions, he would definitely get them done in a blink of an eye.
nIt was just that this time, he had truly met his match.
n'What a useless man!', Zarius thought.
n.
nEli smiled, lifted his legs and placed them onto his table.
n
"Zarius....don't let your ego cloud your judgment.
nThis time will be different.
nThis time, he had kidnapped someone and is trying to lure the Ghostly Prince towards him.
nSo tell me, in a situation like this... wouldn't one be fully prepared before luring their enemies in?
nThis time... he might actually succeed in dealing with the Ghostly Prince instead.
"
nZarius listened attentively to Eli's thoughts.
nBut even though he knew that they made sense, he still didn't fully believe that Slytherin could pull it off.
nAs they talked, Eli immediately wrote a letter and had it to a messenger to deliver it out immediately.
nHe had no idea when the final throwdown would be, so he had to keep his men stationed around all of Slytherin's bases just in case.
n
"Zarius.... what about the other thing that I asked you to look into?
"
n
"Your highness..... the Alchemists are still looking into it.
nBut from what they said, they have no way of creating lightning yet.
"
nEli frowned and thought deeply.
nHow did those Baymardians manage to make lightning come out of those tiny black sticks?
nDid he have to call a witch doctor so as to make it possible?
nIf he had such powerful weapons, then who would dare to even complete with him?
nHe thought for a while before finally giving up.
nIt looked like the only way he could ever own that Godly weapon, was by conquering Baymard.
nAnd that in itself wasn't going to be easy.
nNonetheless, he felt like he was up for the challenge.
n.
n
"Zarius, just let Slytherin be.
nAfter he deals with the Ghostly Prince, then we'll kill him!
nBut for now, just let him be.
"
n
"Yes, your highness.
"
n
