Chapter 88 - 88 [Bonus Chapter]Swift Death Vs. Bloodsucking

nIn mid-air, its lid opened wide to reveal the horror that lay within, which was rows and rows of knife-like teeth and a mouth most likely to breathe fire!

nSwift Death raised her head, revealing a scheming smile.

n『High-level Soul Shard: Teleportation』

nA blink of an eye was all it took for her to teleport ten steps above her current spot, where she left behind an afterimage.

nThe monster failed to discern the real from the fake and attacked what it shouldn’t have.

nCrack!

nIts jaw snapped her afterimage in half, causing it to be blurred out of existence.

nIt was at this moment that the monster-like chest realized that it had **ed up.

nFeeling something approaching it from above, the monster-like chest tried to move away, but It was stomped upon by someone with such strength that it plunged to the ground.

nThud!

nIt crash-landed on the ground, and the flame in its mouth exploded.

nThe next instant, black steam could be seen coming out of it.

nBrushing it apart while going down was a slim leg with muscle lines more well-defined than a person’s future.

n“Bam!”

nSwift Death stomped her feet on its lid again, immobilizing it temporarily.

n“Puchi!” “Puchi!”

nSwift Death leaned forward, the two daggers in her hand going in and out of it once, twice, thrice, and several more times with such speed that it died without knowing what killed it.

nIf Roy were here, he would have felt fascinated to see her unchanged buttocks in tight clothes hanging in the air like the two tasty, plump fruits full of juice as she killed the monster.

nThe chest lay still on the ground, its teeth turning into a pile of bone dust.

nWith her hand, she brushed it away, revealing the darkness inside the chest’s mouth.

nShe put her hands inside it, taking out whatever she grabbed. Some stuff was useless to her, but it could sell for a lot. There was a black ring on her pinkie. It was a treasure as it had spatial storage. She purchased it using the gold Roy had blessed her. All the useless stuff was stored inside it.

n“It should be somewhere inside here.” She muttered under her breath as she continued to empty the treasure chest.

nIt didn’t take long for her to pull out records of Master Gray’s dirty deeds.

nWith them in her hands, her eyes twinkled in a naughty glow.

n‘Master Gray is done for!’

nThe racks also held many files.

nShe went through them in a hurry, realizing they contained receipts of the sale of resources Master Gray and his affiliates who had some influence in the Southern District had smuggled out of the County under the nose of the Count.

n‘I should get out now.’ Stowing them away in her inter-spatial ring, Swift Death went all the way back to the door out of Master Gray’s hidden dungeon. It was locked, but it couldn’t stop her from getting out.

nA single teleport was all it took for her to appear next to the slope.

nPlop! Plop! Plop!

nAt that very moment, sensing her existence, several blood-sucking vines burst out of the water surface, charging toward her like arrows. The vines had an opening at their edge, filled with teeth. Just looking at them disgusted her. She knew these vines must’ve sucked many people and animals empty of their blood to grow these teeth.

n‘I’ve just used the power of my soul shard. My teleportation ability is still on cooldown. I can’t teleport out of their range. I guess I’ve no choice but to put up a fight.’

nJust as they reached close to her, Swift Death swung her dagger in a horizontal line.

nIts silvery sheen was blinding to the eyes, and it left behind a silvery line in the air, and the many vines it passed through were cut into two.

nGreen liquid spurted out of the wounded parts of the vines that retreated back to the cesspool, splashing out towards Swift Death.

nThey were sizzling hot.

nShe determined they were toxic enough to burn her skin off and poison her, so she immediately rolled to the side to dodge them.

n“Sizzle, sizzle!”

nThe green liquid dropped on the spot she stood on a moment ago, eating away the grass, mud, and ground and creating a small depression in the area. Some drops landed on her clothes, creating holes in them. If one were to look through them, they would see her milky, white skin.

nAs she stood up, she was attacked by more vines from all sides.

n“Whoosh!”

nShe used both her daggers to cut a majority of them, but they outnumbered her by quite a lot.

nResisting their willful advances proved futile as they captured her.

nThe smelly vines tightened around her limbs and raised. In a single moment, she was brought up in the air. And then they rapidly sunk into the sewer water, planning to bring her under dirty water where they would prey on her. Faced with such a deranged situation, Swift Death didn’t have a single ounce of fear on her face. Her lips hooked up into a smile.

nThe cooldown of her ability has ended!

nA while ago, she had dodged having a confrontation with them by teleporting into the hidden dungeon from a spot out of their range. She instantly escaped their grasp by teleporting to that very spot. This was a place where they couldn’t extend to, nor was their sense of smell sharp enough to smell what was there. The vines turned left and right before dropping into the water, disappointed.

nSwift Death extended her middle fingers towards the vines floating on the water. “See you never… you dumb **ers!”

nWithout looking back, she walked away.

nIn search of Master Gray, she roamed this manor. The ring he possessed was too precious for her to give up on.

nFootsteps were heard approaching from around the corner.

nThere was no tree good enough to shade her from a person’s eyes, much less a guard.

nThere was, however, a big bush to her side. She jumped into it to hide from the guards.

nJust as she expected, the guards walked past the bush while chatting with each other about Master Gray.

nEavesdropping on their conversation, she found out that Master Gray had gone to his study to work after sensing the Yama’s contractor away.

nNow, she had been to this place and knew the layout of this manor. His study was in the building where he had a conversation with the Yama’s contractor.

nBypassing the guards patrolling the area, sneaking inside the grandest building in the garden using her teleportation ability, and going under the notice of the maids inside it, she made her way to his study.
