Chapter 130

Qiao He willingly did the dirty work for his Boss Yi. He’d only beat the ** out of Gong Yijun. Not only this guy hurt their Young Madam, but he also insulted her name in front of them.

It didn’t take too long for Gong Yijun to spit out where he hid the recipe book of Lu Xinyi’s father. Now that they lost their family business, his mother, Xuan Shu, had decided to leave the city with the money she got from the sale of their properties.

With the old book in his hand, Qiao He passed it to his master who hadn’t bothered to pay attention to Gong Yijun. Shen Yi’s lips curled into a half smile as he gave a quick scan while he flipped the yellowish pages of the book, seeing some handwritten notes on one side.

“I’m taking this back,” Shen Yi told Gong Yijun icily. “Do not call or dare to reach her ever again. You will go nowhere near her.”

They had filed a restraining order against Gong Yijun after Shen Yi found out that he assaulted his wife, leaving a dark bruise on her arm. Lu Xinyi belonged to him now, and nothing was going to get in the way of that unless she wanted to leave, but he believed her when she said that she loved him and she would never leave him.

After Shen Yi and Qiao He left the shop, Gong Yijun laid on the floor almost half-dead. His heart was filled with hatred and disdain. He’d lost everything because of a woman. -.

“Lu Xinyi. You will pay for this,” he hissed in pain.

The last days of summer had made the weather a little colder than usual, informing them that the season was about to end. Not wanting to waste the opportunity to enjoy it, Shen Yi had sprung the idea to have a quick trip with Lu Xinyi and the twins.

“Vacation! I couldn’t wait to see starfishes and dolphins!” Little Yuyan chanted happily as she and Shen Zhichen trash around their room, looking for their favorite toys to accompany them on their trip. “I’ll take Mr. Bunny with me,” she said.

“Then I’ll bring my dinosaur with me. Mr. Dragon is too huge,” her twin brother replied.

Shen Zhichen was thrilled, but he tried not to make problems for their Aunty Xinxin while she was packing their things.

When the next morning came, Shen Xue volunteered to drive them to the airport. Their private plane was waiting for them. Lu Xinyi almost regretted packing too much, but if she’s packed for two hyperactive children, she guessed it would be nice to bring extra clothes just in case.

“Bring me some souvenirs, okay?” Shen Xue said as he closed the trunk lid of his car. “Uncle Xue cannot join you this time.”

“Yes, Uncle!” Shen Zhichen replied. “I’ll take a lot of pictures for you to see.”

“Ready to go?” Shen Yi appeared behind them, his hands linked with Lu Xinyi’s.

Both of the twins smiled and nodded their heads.

Shen Xue hopped into the driver’s seat to start the car while complaining the entire time about how much stuff they had for this trip. Shen Yi sat in front with his brother while Lu Xinyi and the twins sat in the back.

They drove for about thirty minutes arriving at what appeared to be a mini airport equipped with a runway. Lu Xinyi and the twins got out of the car, looking around. After laying eyes on the large private jet before them, nervousness set in for Lu Xinyi. Because they were traveling with the children, Shen Yi couldn’t see the reason why they should mingle with the public.

The staff came forward and help Shen Xue load the luggage onto the jet. After they were done with it, it was time to board.

“Are you sure you aren’t going with us?” Lu Xinyi asked her brother-in-law.

Shen Xue shook his head. He knew if he came with them, he would be stuffed with dog food while babysitting the twins. He would rather stay and work than suffer because of his brother.

As the entire family boarded the jet, Lu Xinyi couldn’t believe her eyes. The jet’s cabin was set up like a little living room area with plush sofas on both sides. The twins happily settled themselves and took their toys out to play.

This was luxury at its finest. Sometimes, she would forget that she married a wealthy businessman and how rich his family was because they were so humble and not flashy with their wealth and all.

They arrived at their destination two hours later. Still early to visit the parks and tourist spots, they decided to visit the local market while their luggage was sent to the one of the Shen family’s villa nearby.

Lu Xinyi took the twins and taught them about the crabs, lobsters, and other kinds of seafood that they could buy. Little Yuyan’s eyes were wide as she stared at the giant crab with huge pincers much to Shen Zhichen’s horror.

“Yuyan! Don’t touch it!” he chastised his sister. Little Yuyan pouted—she just wanted to hold it.

The shop owner, however, found the twins too adorable and irresistible that he let the twins take a hold on the giant crab, making sure they wouldn’t get hurt by it.

“Ahh, such adorable babies you have. You two make a good pair,” he said to Shen Yi and Lu Xinyi.

Lu Xinyi didn’t think she could get any redder than she already was. Why did everyone keep on hinting they should have a kid soon? Shen Yi only chuckled and shook his head. Of course, the shop owner’s remark fed the curiosity of the twins.

“But we aren’t babies anymore.” Shen Zhichen grumbled. “Could you and Uncle Yi make one?”

“Where do babies come from?” Little Yuyan asked her Aunty Xinxin who almost choked on her water with her sudden question.
