nThe suite can only be accessed through a separate private elevator and it was located on the top floor of the hotel. It was also accessible to the newly reconstructed helipad.
nLooking around, Lu Xinyi could only wonder how much it would cost for Shen Yi to stay in a place like this. You can even take in the city views from the floor-to-ceiling windows.
n“But why did you get a suite with only one bedroom? I wouldn’t share the bed with you?!”
n“Not my fault. Qiao He was the one who booked this suite for us. He probably thought that a suite for newlywed couples is what we need.”
n“You can sleep again on the couch. It was larger than the one you slept in the cruise.” Lu Xinyi suggested.
nShen Yi shot her a vaguely scathing look.
n“Not happening. You can’t put me twice in the doghouse in a month.”
nHell no, the first time she sent him to the doghouse, they weren’t married yet.-.
nShen Yi put away their suitcase at the walk-in closet. Lu Xinyi checked the bathroom connected to the bedroom. It was larger than the two outside. The bathroom was designed with Italian marble and a separate walk-in rain shower room and a Jacuzzi tub. It also had an LCD television facing the tub.
n“Holy sh*t. I’m pretty sure my monthly salary isn’t enough to pay for this lavish amenities,” she told herself. Damn rich people can throw a lot of money for such luxuries.
n“Wow, this is pretty much large suite for us.” Lu Xinyi went back to the oversized bedroom. Shen Yi sat on the edge of the king-sized bed and adjusted his cufflinks while Lu Xinyi threw herself on the huge bed, liking how her body bounced on the soft mattress. Her hand reached out to the fluffy white pillow and snuggled it on her chest.
n“This is nice. Shen Yi, do you think I can bring this pillow back at home? I like this one.” Lu Xinyi smiled, that kind of smile was such a turned on him and he felt momentarily dazzled.
nShen Yi’s eyebrows rose as if he couldn’t believe what she’d told him.
n“Lu Xinyi, you aren’t poor anymore.” he reminded her. Oh, his poor wife. She didn’t have to strip off this suite if she wants something. Shen Yi promised to himself to work hard so he could provide everything that she needs and wants.
n“I am poor, you aren’t.” she corrected him.
n“I thought you said I’m your piggy bank.”
n“I was joking and to be honest, I can’t be a trophy wife. You need a gorgeous and beautiful wife for that.” Lu Xinyi rolled on her side, with the pillow still clasping on her chest to face him.
n“How can you say that? You are beautiful.”
n“Shen Yi!” Lu Xinyi was tempted to suffocate him with the pillow to make him shut up.
n“What?”
n“You’re such a lecherous and perverted man.”
n“Xinyi, didn’t you know abstinence is hell?”
nShe blushed a very bride shade of red.
n“Don’t change the topic. I’m taking the bed.” She shot him a quick look as if he was rude for thinking she will share the bed with him.
n“Have you forgotten that I’m your husband now?”
n“You’re not taking me to bed. Ever.” Lu Xinyi declared.
n“Who said it had to be on the bed?”
nThat familiar mischievous grin was back on his face again.
n“What?! You wouldn’t dare kick me off the bed, and I will not share it with you!”
n“The only reason I would force you out is so I can have you on the floor.”
nShe gritted her teeth and glared at her grinning husband.
n“Go ** yourself!” she hissed.
n“Nah, I will let you do it.” he winked back.
n“Shen Yi! We have three bathrooms and one huge bathtub. If you don’t like the couch, you can sleep on the tub.”
nShen Yi grunted and stared at her. Did his wife really think she could kick him out the bed the second time?
n“You do know I can take you wherever I want.”
n“W-what?” She asked not understanding what he meant.
n“There are far better places to make love aside from bed. The shower for one, then we can do it at the kitchen, on the couch, followed by—” Shen Yi wasn’t able to finish his words when Lu Xinyi threw the pillow right on his face.
nThey sat staring at each other, neither willing to accept defeat.
nSuddenly, he pounced on her. Lu Xinyi eeped loud as he pinned her down on the bed.
n“Shen Yi! What do you think you’re doing?” But the rage on her face was replaced with laughter as her husband tickled her sides.
n“Stop.” She shrieked out, her laughter filled and echoed within the room.
nIt was a fortunate accident that made Shen Yi discovered one of her weaknesses. Ah, he should thank her fur babies later for giving him an advantage.
