Ophelia’s face was awash with tears. With her explanation, Yang Ling soon finally understood what was going on.

Originally, the Space Cracks were undergoing thousands of transformations, full of wild energy. Every dimension was also full of various types of danger, and the situations were very complicated. That would definitely have a certain influence on the Angels’ Soul Seals. Comparatively, the proportion of Angels who could unlock the Soul Seal was very small, but there were simply too many Angels from the City Amongst the Clouds descending to the various dimensions. Looking at the absolute number, the were also quite a number of Angels who had unintentionally unlocked their seals.

In order to secure their interests in various dimensions, and to guard the secret of the Angel Battle Formation, the City Amongst the Clouds held extremely tight and strict control over the Angels, constantly monitoring the changes in their souls. If an Angel unintentionally unlocked the seal in his mind and gained self-awareness, he would be immediately judged as a Fallen Angel. Angel Battle Squads would be sent out to pursue and kill the Fallen Angel, or he would be caught and brought back to the City Amongst the Clouds for a trial, or he would be captured by the Church in various dimensions, and be executed on the spot.

All this while, she might have known that a Fallen Angel, once captured, would have no chance of survival, but Ophelia had never once thought that the methods the Church employed were so bloody, violent and cruel! She did not expect that in order to completely destroy the souls of the Fallen Angels, the Church actually simply dug out their skullcaps, and sucked out all their brains. They even tied their bodies to fire stakes, so that they would never be able to be resurrected!

Thank goodness she had met Yang Ling. Or else, these Angels would be her very fate tomorrow!

Looking at Fallen Angel after Fallen Angel who had been tortured, and suffered unknown torment and agony before their deaths, the Blood Angels, while grieving, were also secretly relieved that they were the lucky ones. After being tamed by Yang Ling, they had finally unlocked the seal in their minds and started to possess individual consciousness and great freedom. They were finally able to lead normal lives.

The great hall was very big. At the last count, there were actually a thousand Fallen Angels. There were a few who were mangled and bloody, and it seemed that they had not died for long. There were some that only had skeletons left behind. Without exception, all of them had their skullcaps dug out, and their brain matter sucked clean out. Their souls had all completely vanished.

“My Lord, I beg of you, please resurrect them, Ophelia begs you!” Looking at all the Fallen Angels, tears ran down Ophelia’s face. She led the various Blood Angels to prostrate in front of Yang Ling, hoping that he could cast Unmatched Wizardry to resurrect her poor fellow men.

“Unfortunately, their souls have already vanished. Maybe they are in the Dimension of Dead Souls, maybe they are completely destroyed by the Church. But there is no possibility of resurrection anymore!” After looking carefully at the wounds on the heads on the Fallen Angels, and sensing the energy pulses in the air, Yang Ling shook his head regretfully.

The Blood Angels might be descended from a duplicate of themselves, and their power could never be compared to their actual bodies, but they had an advantage with their experience and could level up quickly. If he could resurrect and tame over a thousand Angels, he naturally would gain a hugely powerful force. Unfortunately, the Soul Ripples in the air was simply too weak. Even if he spared no effort and exhausted huge amounts of Wizard Power and soul to cast a high-level Soul Summoning Spell, the chances of succeeding were still extremely small. Unless he advanced to the level of Wizard Deity, or else it was highly unlikely he would be able to resurrect these pitiful Angels.

Souls were completely destroyed?

Looking at the terrifying wounds on the Angels’ heads, Ophelia looked desolate. After a moment of silence, she said, “My Lord, can you move their bodies to the Wizard Pagoda’s Tower? I hope to build an Angel Mausoleum for them inside, and hope they can rest in peace!”

“Ophelia, as you wish!” Yang Ling waved his hands and moved the Fallen Angels into the Wizard Pagoda’s Tower, and kept the Blood Angels like Ophelia all inside. After walking a few rounds inside the great hall, and affirming that there was nothing that they had left behind, Yang Ling led his party, including the Corpse Wizard King and Dark Dragon King, and rapidly left.

The time to enter the Graveyard of the Deities and Demons was getting closer, and Yang Ling had to make the best of the time he had left to practice cultivation, hoping to break through again at the last minute. Not to mention other things, he at least had to make use of the time to study the Stele and Crystal Ball that the old witch had given him, and quickly master powerful Wizardry.

“My Lord, the situation within the Holy City has basically been stabilized. This is just in. The total count of the spoils of war!” Everyone had just left the creepy underground great hall, when Goode came hurrying over, handing Yang Ling a thick accounts book while speaking.

“Top quality Crystals, three million and two hundred thousand pieces. Heavy metals from alternate dimensions, eight thousand pieces. High-level Magical Beasts Essence Crystals…” Looking at the strings of numbers on the accounts book, Yang Ling shook his head, again astounded by the accumulated fortunes of the Church. There were already so many good things to be found from the various army camps cathedrals, if he were to add on the treasures he had kept into the Wizard Pagoda’s Space, how much would it be?

After all, this was just the spoils of war from a preliminary search of the Holy City. If he were to add on those from the Holy Alliance and combine the Church’s fortunes scattered all over various lands, that would definitely be an astronomical figure, and far exceed anyone’s imagination!

“Goode, I’ll leave you to handle things here. You and Yuna can deal with any normal issues. There’s no need to come and find me!” Yang Ling randomly flipped through the thick accounts book before handing it back to Goode, before giving a few instructions and keeping the entire Magical Beasts Great Army, and quickly returning to the Magical Beasts Realm through the Teleportation Portal.

Back then, when he had built the Magical Beasts Realm from scratch and was worrying about its development, every Black Crystal Coin was extremely valuable. He could not wait to personally go and make Magic Staffs so as to earn more Crystal Coins. But now, no matter how many Crystal Coins he had, it was just a string of numbers to him.

When his accumulated fortunes had reached a certain point, and the Magical Beasts Realm was on the right track, he no longer pursued Crystal Coins as a goal. He now put his efforts in the direction of advancing to the level Deity, and looking for traces of the Ancient Wizard. Of course, no one would think they had too much money. Yang Ling naturally would not pass up the chance to get more profits that he deserved.

After instructing Orlando to guard the main door, Yang Ling retrieved the Great Wizard Altar, and carefully studied the Wizard Spells recorded on the Stele in detail.

Different from the ordinary Stele, this Stele that was in the old witch’s hands was much taller that the ordinary Stele. The whole thing was pitch black, and cold to the touch, emitting wave after wave of energy ripples. It seemed like it was the most valuable Stele among the many Steles in the palace under the sea. It was not known how it got to be on the outside, and so coincidentally picked up by the old witch.

Three types of Wizard Spell were recorded on the Stele. Space Bind, Gravity Space, and Five Element Evasion Technique. Amongst them, its records highlighted the mysterious Space Bind, having occupied most of the sculpture with a combination of its words and drawings.

“After forming an independent Space, to bind the enemy’s body and soul?” After quickly browsing through the contents of the Space Bind, Yang Ling grew more and more stunned, realizing that he had unintentionally stumbled upon an extremely powerful Soul Wizard Spell.

Back then, the old witch’s Space Bind left a deep impression on him. After getting hit by the spell, his speed and power were greatly reduced. What was scarier was that his Soul Sense was greatly weakened in strength, and he lost his sense of the Wizard Pagoda in an instant. He was almost miserably defeated, by a few dozen powerful Sea Dragons of their Domain, who took the opportunity to seriously wound him.

The old witch did not understand ancient Han and had no Wizard Power in her body. Just by relying on a bit of the mystery of Space Bind that she had figured out from looking at the drawings, she was already so powerful. If one mastered the whole of the Wizard Spell, and it was supported by ample Wizard Power and Soul Energy, how powerful could it get?

He could not imagine, if he fully understood and mastered the Space Bind Wizard Spell, how much his power would increase by!

In this world, no matter the powerful Twelve-winged Great Angel or Raymond with unfathomably deep power, all of them had mastery in the power of Laws. If he could rely on the Space Bind to create an independent space and completely cut off the outside world from all the senses of the enemy, then did that not mean that he could counter all the Laws of the world, and render their skills useless?

Counter all the Laws of the world and alter or create new Laws!

Yang Ling shook his head, feeling more shocked the more he thought, not daring to think about it any further. According to the records on the Stele, once he had trained in the Space Bind to its peak level, he would be able to create a brand new Space like the Wizard Pagoda’s Space and isolate it completely from the outside world. He was not able to imagine how much terrifying Battle Power he would have if he could really train up to that level!

With the soul as foundation and Wizard Power as a complement, control over heaven and earth…

After taking a few deep breaths, Yang Ling quickly calmed down and became dispassionate, rapidly practicing the mysterious Space Bind Wizard Spell. He silently chanted the Wizard Mantra, both hands rapidly changing Wizard Signals. Strands of ripples that the naked eye could not see started to spread all over, slowly forming into a circle of formless Magical Shield, emitting waves of hidden energy pulses, completely enveloping him. One step, two steps… The distance became longer and longer, eventually enveloping the entire Great Wizard Altar.

Looking from afar, the whole courtyard seemed to be like a mirage, ever-changing and wavering. The air kept rippling and was even a bit twisted. Not matter the towering roof of the house or the tall, towering and thick trees reaching into the clouds and stretching into the sky, everything was a blur. It felt like it was obviously right within reach, but when one concentrated on looking, it seemed far away, giving one a strange feeling.

“Aye, Lord Orlando, has a mist descended? Why do the things in the courtyard look so blurry?”

“Yes. That’s strange, I can even clearly see that fellow Arkas dozing off on the city walls far away, but I don’t know why I can’t clearly see the courtyard a few dozen steps away. It’s really weird!”

More than a dozen Barbarians on guard outside the courtyard were the first ones to discover that something was not right. They were discussing what was going on, looking suspiciously at the courtyard Yang Ling was at.

The Barbarians were known as the warriors of the mountains. Not only were they extremely fast, but they were also very physically strong and had astonishing eyesight. Even on dark, rainy days which were enveloped by a great mist, they were also able to see far away scenery or objects clearly. They did not expect that today, they were not even able to clearly see the big trees within the courtyard that were inches away from them. All of them thought hard and long but were unable to find an answer, and could not understand what exactly was going on!
