Chapter 1434 - Temperature

“What!”

Everyone couldn’t help but exclaim coldly when they heard what Wang Yu said.

Damn it! That broken teleportation formation was in the fire which meant that if they wanted to get to it, they would have to jump into the fire pit.

The players from Kingdom of Hell were flabbergasted, “Boss, don’t tell me you want all of us to die together right? This is lava!!!”

In <>, there was the terrain damages effect. While players wouldn’t be burnt to death by flames, jumping into a pool of lava could easily cost them their lives.

Why would everyone take such a risk after going through so much to arrive at where they are?

Moreover, all these about the wrong path were merely Fearless’ guess. How could they take it to be real? Earlier when Fearless saw the map, he also mentioned the fact that there would be saving points yet it wasn’t true.

Instead of taking this risk, they might as well walk through the door!

“Didn’t you guys realise that this lava was different from the one we saw earlier?” When faced with everyone’s questioning, Wang Yu didn’t explain as he asked another question.

“Lava?”

Everyone extended their heads to look downwards at the same crimson lava. It was still boiling and looked equally as dangerous as before. They shook their heads and said, “What’s the difference?”

“Temperature!!”

At this point, Fearless clasped his hands together as he exclaimed, “It is the temperature!”

“Temperature?” Everyone reacted after hearing what Fearless said.

Even though there was no sense of pain in <>, there was still a sense of temperature. Being attacked by a fire magic skill would feel hot and one would feel cold if one was trapped in an icy seal.

When they entered earlier, they walked past a lava path and everyone could feel the burning sensation from above. While this scene also had a massive lava pit, they didn’t feel any heat at all.

Even when Fiat turned off the lights earlier, everyone did not detect the lava pit beneath them… That made it extremely weird.

Everyone who played online games would know that scenes in games would be categorised into two types. One was a modelling scene while the other would be a texture scene.

Modelling scenes were scenes created with meticulous details. Examples were those realistic scenes outside of dungeons like the mountains and oceans. Those in which one couldn’t touch or feel, like the sky and sun, would be texture scenes.

Even though this lava pit was a modelling scene, everyone couldn’t feel the temperature of the lava beneath them. Evidently, this lava was not real and was merely a texture scene. In gaming terms, this was merely an illusion.

“Could the lava below us be an illusionary skill?” Everyone rubbed their eyes in disbelief.

Fearless nodded, “Highly possible!”

“So why don’t you jump down first?” Everyone urged Fearless to do it.

Nobody could be 100% sure that it was truly a texture scene. Jumping down into the lava pit was an extremely frightening act that only the bravest could do.

“I’ll jump if you want me to!”

Fearless covered himself in his Sacred Ray before jumping towards the lava pit. In mid-air, his cape expanded as he landed firmly on the teleportation formation. Following which, a radiance shone brightly as he disappeared.

“F*ck! Why were you absorbed immediately? Is there any damage done? Or did you die? @Fearless” Everyone hurriedly sent Fearless a message when they saw him disappear.

If Fearless was immediately sent into the next scene, that would be good. If this was like the spring water in MOBA games where it would disregard all invincibility skills, wouldn’t they be sending themselves to death?

When everyone sent the message out, Fearless did not reply. As they tried to send a private message to Fearless, the system would reply, “The player is in a different scene as you. You will not be able to send him a message for the time being.”

“A different scene…”

Everyone became slightly confused… Outside the dungeon was also considered a different scene. Did Fearless really die?

“Why don’t we bet on this?”

Spring Halo smiled sheepishly, “I’m betting that Fearless is already in the next scene. Any limit on the bet?”

“I follow with one hundred gold! Brother Spring Halo is right!” Wang Yu raised his hand as he walked towards Spring Halo’s side.

Even though Spring Halo wasn’t always right, this fella was literally a god in such calculations. Trusting him on a bet was definitely higher than trusting anyone else.

“I’m with Brother Spring too!”

The rest of the Quan Zhen Sect also walked towards Wang Yu and Spring Halo.

The players from Kingdom of Hell were dazed at this. To think they could even gamble on something like this?

Just when the Kingdom of Hell were sighing at the actions of the Quan Zhen Sect, the rest of the Quan Zhen Sect suddenly shouted, “Vainglory, scram to the Kingdom of Hell’s side!”

“Why?!” Vainglory felt aggrieved.

Ming Du replied, “Why? You should know why! Hurry up and gather with your group, you unlucky fella! Do not bring down the chances of winning here!”

“F*ck!” Vainglory was not the only infuriated one as the rest of the Kingdom of Hell were also furious at the comment.

How hurtful!

“Forget it!”

God of Death’s Left Hand was still the Boss as he was much more sensible in crucial moments. He waved his hands and said, “Since Brother Spring is that confident, we will follow him too.”

“Boss, stop fooling around with them! What if we die after jumping in?” God of Death’s Right Hand asked cautiously.

“Die?” God of Death’s Left Hand’s smiled bitterly, “It isn’t as though you guys haven’t witnessed how tricky this dungeon was. Do you think we can survive long in this place after Old Bull and Brother Spring jump down?”

“This…”

One had to admit that the way God of Death’s Left Hand observed problems was indeed very comprehensive.

In terms of skills, the players from Kingdom of Hell were enough to match anyone else. In terms of strategies, no one from the Kingdom of Hell could be compared to any random person from the Quan Zhen Sect.

Completing a dungeon required more than pure skills. The overall command of a squad was the most important.

Otherwise, Wang Yu should be able to complete every dungeon all by himself.

“Tsk, tsk, tsk!” Seeing how clear-headed God of Death’s Left Hand was, Ming Du couldn’t help but point at Vainglory, “See what I mean? The moment you join us, this bet is called off… You unlucky jinx.”

“Scram, scram, scram! You are the unlucky jinx!”

Vainglory pinned Ming Du on the ground and was about to beat him up.

“Aiya, aiya…” Ming Du cried out desperately.

“Haha!” Ignoring Ming Du and Vainglory, Spring Halo chuckled, “Since we all agree on this, let’s head down now. Who wants to jump first?”

“Hmm…”

Everyone turned their gazes to Ming Du and Vainglory, who were still fooling around on the ground.

Both of them suddenly felt the silence around them as they quickly looked towards the rest of the Quan Zhen Sect in fear, “What do you guys want?”

“Nothing!” Wang Yu smiled as he carried them one on each hand before tossing them down the lava pit.
