Chapter 810 - Ray of Moonlight

“Hehe!”

This time, it was Quan Zhen Sect’s turn to laugh coldly. After all, Yang Nuo was still an outstanding disciple of a worldly family. It was always said that a starving camel was still bigger than a horse. A lone wolf like Ambilight was no different from an ordinary person in the eyes of Yang Nuo.

Fighting melee with Yang Nuo was probably Ambilight’s biggest mistake.

However, an Archer was not the most proficient job in using dagger and Yang Nuo was merely using an ordinary dagger. After this stab, Ambilight did not die and was even running around frantically. Ambilight flipped his right hand as she broke out of Yang Nuo’s grasp. She turned her body in an attempt to stab her back.

Without panicking, Yang Nuo extended her arm to the back of Ambilight’s head as she pulled down Ambilight’s hair. Ambilight was dragged straight to the ground.

Yang Nuo lifted her foot and stomped on Ambilight’s chest. As Yang Nuo changed her weapon into her bow and arrow, she shot one arrow straight through her head. Ambilight was turned into white light almost immediately.

“… This… How did this happen…”

The players from Team Peaceful were dumbfounded. Fighting melee had always been Ambilight’s iconic way of fighting so nobody expected her to lose. It was still acceptable for her to lose to a job class which specialised in melee fights but the truth was that she lost to another Archer. This was simply unbelievable.

“This Archer is not simple. She might be the toughest opponent we have,” Ray of Sunshine commented as she watched on.

“En.” Wilted Old Tree nodded and then shook his head, “The Archer is indeed incredible but she isn’t the toughest to deal with.”

“Really? This Archer is clearly the strongest of them all. Unless she isn’t the most terrifying one?” Ray of Sunshine asked in doubt.

Wilted Old Tree smiled and said, “This competition is not a solo fight so skills and movements are not enough to change the tide of the fight. Only war tactics are capable of influencing the entire competition.”

“You’re saying?”

“Yes, that Priest is the toughest to deal with!” Simultaneously, Lucifer turned back to tell Areca.

Areca replied, “A trash who was beaten up by a girl? Why is he good?”

“Haha!” Lucifer answered, “Did you realise why Ambilight lost?”

“Her skills are not as good as her opponent! An embarrassment!” Areca replied.

“That is only part of the reason. However, if she hadn’t appeared at that position, it would be undetermined as to who might win. After all, there was the advantage of the arrow tower…” Lucifer sneered coldly.

“Are… are you saying that someone intentionally forced Ambilight to that position?” Areca asked.

“That’s right!” Lucifer nodded.

“That is indeed a little hard to deal with…”

Hearing what Lucifer said, Areca finally understood him.

Earlier on, Fearless didn’t execute any attacks on Ambilight. All he did was to push forward to force her to where he wanted her to be. Back then, everyone thought that Fearless was simply trying to close the distance between them so he could use self-explode to take Ambilight with her.

However, Lucifer’s explanation proved that Fearless had an ulterior motive from the very beginning.

After all, the difference in job class of Priest and Archer was too much. Self-exploding for the first time might be effective but the opponent would definitely be mindful of the second time. Anyway, they were all top 8 teams so none of them would be dumb enough.

If Lucifer was right and that Fearless intentionally forced Ambilight to the resurrection point, it would be without a doubt that Fearless was the toughest player to deal with. For a Priest to force an Archer all the way to the resurrection point, it displayed the control he had over both the enemy and himself. Frightening was the only word to describe him.

Lucifer was also a top expert. While he loved to act all arrogant usually, his judgement of his enemy was pretty accurate. Therefore, Areca wasn’t doubting Lucifer’s explanation.

Areca had always viewed himself highly but at the thought of this, fear towards Fearless suddenly crept into his heart.

Of course, there were many spectators hut not many of them had the same judgement as Lucifer or Wilted Old tree. The majority of them were more delighted to see the intense match between the Great God Ambilight and Yang Nuo.

The third player Team Peaceful sent out was a player called Instant Fanghua who was a pretty decent looking lady.

Instant Fanghua was a Priest and as compared to an Archer, a Priest’s range of attack was a lot shorter. Moreover, her physical and magic defense were not impressive and her speed was never going to be greater than an Archer. Therefore, an Archer was always going to have the advantage over a Priest.

As an Archer, Yang Nuo didn’t have a lot of weaknesses. Even in close combat, Yang Nuo defeated the strongest member of Team Peaceful. Therefore, there was no question in who was going to win this round.

Yang Nuo wasn’t as wretched as Ambilight as she chose not to camp on the arrow tower. She merely started shooting arrows from a range further than Instant Fanghua could reach. In just a few rounds, Instant Fanghua was sent out.

After killing Instant Fanghua, Yang Nuo walked to the Team Peaceful’s resurrection point as she bent over to set up a level 35 Frost Trap.

After setting up the trap, Team Peaceful’s fourth player, Ray of Moonlight appeared on the scene.

Ray of Moonlight was an Assassin just like Ray of Sunshine. The moment she entered the arena, she entered Stealth.

Before Ray of Moonlight took one step forward, Yang Nuo activated her Frost Trap. In that instant, Ray of Moonlight was rooted to the spot.

At this point, Yang Nuo looked clearly at Ray of Moonlight.

Ray of Moonlight looked about 70% similar to Ray of Sunshine so they should be sisters of some sort. However, Ray of Moonlight was slightly shorter and looked more mature.

The equipment on Ray of Moonlight was pretty decent too especially the eye-catching shoes on her foot. She was actually wearing a high heel…

This was a fighting game so it seemed slightly unusual to see a female player wearing high heels. However, females were never the most logical people which was why one could still see high heels in fights.

When Yang Nuo saw Ray of Moonlight’s heels, her eyes lit up as she asked Ray of Moonlight from far away, “Where did you buy the shoe from?”

“Quest!” Ray of Moonlight answered in a monotonous voice but was unable to conceal the happiness on her face.

“Are you selling?”

Ray of Moonlight shook her head as she smiled coldly. She replied to Yang Nuo’s question with her actions.

“Hmm!”

Seeing that Ray of Moonlight refused to sell, Yang Nuo was exceedingly unhappy as she raised her bow to shoot Ray of Moonlight.

All of a sudden, flames emerged out of Ray of Moonlight’s shoes as she dismissed the Frost Trap beneath her feet. She regained her freedom.

Ray of Moonlight used Haste immediately after freeing herself as she charged at Yang Nuo in an S shape.

Yang Nuo was less than ten metres away from Ray of Moonlight which was why it only took less than a few seconds for Ray of Moonlight to reach Yang Nuo. She lifted her dagger and aimed at Yang Nuo.

Ray of Moonlight was not Ambilight as this lady was an Assassin. She possessed multiple skills and was a true dagger master. Yang Nuo was naturally not going to fight her head-on as she dodged to the side to avoid the dagger.

When Ray of Moonlight missed her first strike, she twisted her waist and kicked towards Yang Nuo’s head.
