“Here we are. The Hama Inn.” Pulling on the reins once the lodging she reserved for the two came into view, Madeline brought the carriage carrying Valyr and the others to a grinding halt as a four-story building appeared within their field of vision. Looking at the building out through the window on the carriage’s side, both Valyr and Wells instantly felt like the building was made for people with a lot of money.
Though, after looking at the building for a bit longer, they grew more and more certain that their lodging was indeed made for people with a lot of money. Without having to focus on their senses, the two felt a great amount of energy emanating from the exterior wooden walls of the building, most of which was congregating towards the two intricate stone sculptures found on both sides of the entrance.
Aside from that, they were able to take a small peek into the interior of the building, with most of what they saw through that small peek screaming great opulence at the two of them. At that moment, the two of them thought that they would find another place to stay for the night once Madeline and the others dropped them off at the building, taking into consideration their current financial situation.
“This is where we’ll be staying for the night?” Asking this question, Valyr felt a hint of nervousness since he wondered how he was going to tell the group of five that they did not have the funds to even stay in the inn for a night. However, once he and Wells heard the words that came out of Madeline’s mouth, all thoughts of their initial plan swiftly disappeared as great smiles adorned their faces.
“Yeah,” Madeline nodded as she responded. “However, you won’t just be staying here for tonight. From the information we’ve obtained from the guild, the two of you are free to stay in the inn as long as you want.”
“I see.” With great enthusiasm, Valyr put on his Half Wyvern Armor as he stepped off the carriage with his items in tow. Not long after, Wells followed suit as the two of them then stood at the entrance of the inn, the excitement they were radiating at that moment glaringly obvious to the group of five.
Nevertheless, the group of five shrugged their excitement off, thinking that it might be due to the possibility that it was their first time into the city. With that thought lingering in their minds, the group of five went ahead and helped both Valyr and Wells check into the inn before allowing the two to get a good night’s rest, reminding Valyr once more that they had a meeting tomorrow morning.
With the two of them watching the group of five disappear from their field of vision, their attention was quickly attracted by one of the attendants of the inn, prompting them to follow behind him as the attendant led them to the room they would be staying in.
“If either of the sirs have anything else to request, you may infuse a bit of mana into the gray orb found within the room, and we’ll try our best to respond as soon as possible.” Leaving these parting words to both Valyr and Wells, which both of them committed to memory, the attendant soon left the two on their own, allowing the two to finally explore the room that they would be staying in.
In less than an instant, both Valyr and Wells were left with their mouths agape as they took in the sights before them. Walking deeper into the room in silence, the two of them were quickly greeted by a well-furnished room that had all of the amenities one would need to live a comfortable life, but taken to a higher level.
Aside from that, the decorations found throughout the room seemed to emanate an air of nobility, giving both of them the feeling that the room they just stepped foot in were made only for nobles to stay in, even though both of them were actual nobles of the region.
Fortunately, after they recovered from the initial shock they received from the overall lavishness of the room, the two of them eventually calmed down as the wow factor of the room gradually disappeared, prompting the two to choose as to which bed they would be sleeping in while they were in the city.
After testing out the function of the gray orb the attendant mentioned by ordering dinner from their room, the two of them then freshened themselves up, changing into the set of clothes that the inn had given them as a welcome gift. Receiving the meals they had ordered from an attendant that arrived at their door, the two of them swiftly enjoyed their dinner, with Wells deciding to head to sleep early by the time he was done.
Savoring the meal he had ordered for a bit longer, Valyr then picked up the plates and utensils they had used during the meal before placing it at the room’s entrance, sending a message through the gray orb that they were done with their meals.
“I’m surprised I’ve gotten used to this so quickly. Is it because my blood is part of a royal clan?” Making his way to the bed he had claimed for himself, Valyr let out a faint chuckle as he thought about how quickly he had gotten used to his new surroundings. Though curious as to why that was the case, he discarded the thought for now, instead focusing on what he should have done ever since he left the Boundless Skill Emporium.
“It’s time to learn all of the skills I’ve gotten.” Muttering these words to himself, he sat on top of his bed before infusing a bit of mana into his spatial bracelet, taking a look at the skill books he had bought from the emporium. Inwardly thanking the cashier for arranging the skill books inside the bracelet in terms of their purpose, he brought out the skill book that he considered the most important to learn, infusing the book with his own mana soon after.
