Chapter 772 - Extermination

At another Lostland Instance Dungeon, Tyrant Sword King the Fifth, Not Gray Wolf, Drifting Snow, and the rest had formed a small party and were fighting against the Mudman Boss at the center of the map.
They had attempted it more than ten times, but they were always shot to death by the mud. This had been ongoing for at least ten hours.
“Yo, Main Tank, please remember to avoid the mud. How can we clear this stage if you don’t avoid it?”
Tyrant Sword King stared at the party’s Main Tank unhappily, who was a Dwarf Warrior named Wooden Feather.
“Do you really think I’m not trying? The amount of mud is able to cover the entire sky and my SPD is drastically reduced as soon as I’m hit by one. It’s impossible.” The Dwarf Main Tank felt that he was immensely wronged.
Then, Not Gray Wolf butted in. “It’s your fault for not being able to kite the Mudman. Stop giving us excuses.”
“If you guys really think it’s the Main Tank’s fault, I’ll just leave then.”
The Dwarf Warrior was very straight forward as he left the party immediately and disappeared from the Instance Dungeon.
Great. Now that the Main Tank has run away. The situation had gotten worse.
“I’ll try and summon another one.”
Tyrant Sword King the Fifth shook his head helplessly as he started inviting people through the Alliance Channel.
Drifting Snow’s Absolute Invincibility and Not Gray Wolf’s Immortal Body were both effective in the dungeon. However, their performance was merely average in the Ancient King Series Dungeon.
All gatekeeper bosses had at least one skill that could counter them. Naturally, theses bosses’ skills were targeted at all the players and were not limited to just them.
Take Mudman’s mud spitting skill as an example. Not Gray Wolf would perish if he was hit by one of these mud splashes and would require ten minutes for him to resurrect.
Since every second mattered in a boss raid, everything would be over by the time he revived.
In comparison to Not Gray Wolf, Drifting Snow’s Territory Skill was worse. He only had a self-cast Absolute Invincibility skill, and he would not be able to control his character when he was completely covered in mud.
He would not die but remain absolutely invincible, but he would not be able to move at all. He all he could do was to watch. What was the point in that? When everyone else was covered in mud, the System would still determine that the entire party had been eliminated.
“Heroic Level Lostland Dungeon. Currently fighting the Boss Mudman and looking for a good tanker. Heavy rewards await if we’re able to pass it!”
No one answered despite Tyrant Sword King the Fifth shouting for at least ten minutes.
Tyrant Sword King the Fifth was Level 156 whereas Not Gray Wolf and the rest were around Level 140. The Lostland was already a difficult dungeon to begin with. Everyone knew just how strong the boss Mudman was. Who would want to torture themselves when they fully knew that their equipment and level had yet to satisfy the requirement?
“Old Fifth, why must we challenge this dungeon?”
Tyrant Sword King the Fifth said angrily, “Dark Wing is challenging it and that’s why we have to do it as well!”
Drifting Snow butted in. “Our levels aren’t high enough and our equipment is subpar at best. We’ll only perish even if we try to force our way through. In my opinion, it’s very unlikely for us to win this dungeon. Old Fifth, let’s forget about it.”
Tyrant Sword King the Fifth shook his head. “It doesn’t matter. We must compete against Dark Wing for this Instance Dungeon!”
“Heroic Level Lostland Dungeon. Currently fighting the Boss Mudman and looking for a good tanker. Will reward at least 10K Gold Coins if we’re able to pass it!”
Tyrant Sword King the Fifth was going all out. Since he could not find anyone in the alliance, he decided to search for someone on the World Channel.
‘Ding!”
Tyrant Sword King the Fifth immediately received a private message the instant he sent out the message. It contained only five words. “Can you pay in advance?”
Tyrant Sword King the Fifth went into a rage.
“If you’re able to kill the Mudman, forget about ten thousand Gold Coins. I’ll reward you with twenty thousand Gold Coins!”
Ding! Another message came in.
“What I’m asking is, can you pay in advance?”
“No!” Tyrant Sword King the Fifth swallowed his anger and replied.
“I’m looking for a Main Tank to fight against the boss Mudman. I’ll immediately forward you twenty thousand Gold Coins the instant we kill it!”
Tyrant Sword King the Fifth sent out another message in the World Channel.
Ding! The stranger sent him another private message.
“Pay me in advance and I’ll clear it for you!”
“F*ck you!”
Tyrant Sword King the Fifth always had a joyful expression on his face but he was furious when he kept receiving those messages from that stranger.
Tyrant Sword King the Fifth immediately replied with two words.
“F*ck off!”
Inside the Deathwing dungeon, the Summoner The Mountain shook his head helplessly when he saw the word, “F*ck off!”, in his private message as he sat on the corpse of Deathwing.
…
The second wave of Mudmon were quickly dealt with under Li Yi and Qian’er’s overwhelming attack.
Four Esteemed Mud Statues appeared around the map. They were statues of a male Orc, male White Elf, female Dwarf, and female Giant respectively.
Li Yi then ordered, “Sister Nine, summon your sacred sword. Ice, cast God’s Protection onto her!”
Since he was directing the innocent pair, he had no choice but to guide them step by step as one small mistake would certainly wipe out the entire party.
Sister Windcloud Nine summoned the Tuhr Sacred Sword whereas Fire Ice cast the God’s Protection on her. Li Yi was only able to relax down when he saw everything.
The two naive girls finally did it right and everything else would depend on luck.
The Lostland Instance Dungeon’s second boss was not fixed. Instead, one of the four mini-bosses would turn into the boss to challenge the players. Then, the other three would disappear.
If the female boss was selected, the boss would then release a one-hit KO skill on every male player in the dungeon and only players who had God’s Protection would be able to survive. Similarly, if the male boss was selected, the male boss would then release a one-hit KO skill on every female player.
The catch was that the chance of female boss being selected was much higher than of the male boss. This was the reason why Li Yi wanted Fire Ice and Sister Windcloud Nine to cooperate.
“I don’t get this chaotic world!”
The female Dwarf statue started trembling as the other three esteemed statues sunk to the ground.
“Pew pew!”
A bright light spread out the entire area. Li Yi and Brother Windcloud Nine instantly fell to the ground and was without a doubt dead.
The female boss had killed all of the male players within the dungeon and everything depended on Qian’er and the naive Sister Nine.
“Pew pew!”
Two streams of blade auras flew towards the female Dwarf statue as the Tuhr Sacred Sword was swung, dealing a total of some five hundred thousand damage.
One must not look down upon Sister Windcloud Nine’s gaming sense as she had it compensated with her incredibly powerful equipment. It was the Commander Equipment Set and all of them were bought by Brother Windcloud Nine. Her Holy value was as high as 251 and could be considered as a powerful player.
Meanwhile, Qian’er waited for a while before she started attacking.
While the female Dwarf statue was chasing after Tuhr Sacred Sword, Qian’er decided to attack from afar to avoid accumulating her aggro.
The female Dwarf statue’s class was Warrior and she was able to use all of the Warrior’s skills. Whirlwind Slash, Blade Storm, Silver Gleam Falling Blades, Abyss-ripping Windstorm, and so on. All of these skills wielded incredibly high damage and those who were not Main Tanks would certainly fall if they were to be hit by her twice in a row.
The female Dwarf statue was wielding two blades and cast a perfect Abyss-ripping Windstorm at Sister Windcloud Nine. She would have died at least ten times over if not for her invincibility status.
The Tuhr Sacred Sword had a very high damage output. In addition to the overpowered Fire Wizard Qian’er, the female Dwarf statue’s HP dropped drastically and they entered the second phase within one minute.
In the second phase, the female Dwarf statue’s SPD increased drastically and the aggro started becoming chaotic as well as she would randomly charge at a party member.
Fire Ice was being charged the instant the second phase started. She soon fell to the ground as the female Dwarf statue gently moved her sword.
Qian’er was very smart. In order to prevent from being charged, she had been using the stationary Sister Windcloud Nine as a shield. Although the charge was incredibly powerful, it had a flaw as it was not able to penetrate through an object. Hence, they did not need to worry about being charged as long as they were not in the line of sight.
Two minutes passed by in a blink of an eye and Brother Windcloud Nine realized that the HP bar above the female Dwarf statue was only halfway through. He could not hold it in any longer as he used Holy Light Talisman to resurrect himself on the spot. He reached both of his hands out as the golden and shining shield flew out, landing a headshot on the female Dwarf statue accurately.

Although the damage was not high, Brother Windcloud Nine’s aggro generation was unparalleled. The female Dwarf statue immediately gave up on chasing Sister Windcloud Nine and charged after Brother Nine.
In a CD Dungeon, a party was only allowed to use a resurrect item three times and this restriction was not cumulative. In other words, players could only use them three times and once it was finished, they were no longer allowed to use any resurrection items in the dungeon.
Li Yi laid on the ground and screamed, “They’re able to win this, don’t panic.”
Li Yi had the Holy Light Talisman as well but he did not think of using it at this time for a simple reason. He would not be much of use here as the female boss would randomly release the one-hit KO skill towards all male players.
Brother Windcloud Nine was only able to muster out some two hundred thousand damage points before the female Dwarf statue killed him in an instant.
“Stop getting up. The one-hit KO skill is cast randomly and it’d be a waste to use the Holy Light Talisman.”
“Uh…” Brother Windcloud Nine was speechless as he laid on the ground.
The naive Sister Windcloud Nine started screaming. “Dear, you’re amazing even if you’re dead.”
Brother Windcloud Nine did not move an inch as he laid on the ground. However, Li Yi could imagine the look on the former’s face right now…
The Territory Skill God’s Protection. Its effect was to protect the target for five minutes from any damages. However, the protected target would not be able to move nor attack when the target was being protected.
While Queen Jiao was able to do it as well, she was a melee class. It would be sacrificing a thousand troops in order to kill eight hundred enemy troops if she were to face the boss Mudman. She would not be able to unleash her true skill at all and this was the main reason why Li Yi did not call her.
Qian’er was the only one who had incredibly high DMG output and was a range player. She would be able to attack without any worry when she was up against the boss Mudman and she would be much more practical than Jiaojiao Little Elf from the Magical Realm.
Five minutes passed in a blink of an eye. The Tuhr Sacred Sword moved up, down, left, right, and would occasionally release its aura. Its damage was on par with Qian’er’s and both of them were equally good.
Brother Windcloud Nine started panicking again. “This won’t do. God’s Protection is about to finish and my girl will definitely die.”
The female Dwarf statue still had a third of HP left as the time for God’s Protection’s was up.
“Calm down. We’ll definitely be able to clear this. Don’t worry about it. All we need to do is to lie down and watch the game.” Li Yi was very confident.
Brother Windcloud Nine gave up on the idea of resurrecting himself. “Alright…”
Qian’er stopped attacking when God’s Protection was about to vanish. She then placed her staff horizontally and raised it up high with both of her hands.
A long and strange curse could be heard coming out from Qian’er’s mouth. Her body started levitating up into the sky and fire appeared around her…
“Territory – Divine Flames’ Descent!”
Qian’er screamed as fire filled up the entire dungeon…
…
