nCarlo’s task this time was to protect Bo Te.
nHe’d be in deep trouble if anything happened to him.
nHe was the only champion left in the Mas family.
nThe Mas family was in charge of the battlefield, and most of the stronger forces were jealous of the amount of territory they held. People from all forces were fighting for these spots.
nCheng Shui and the rest had also had their fair share of fighting with their lives on the battleground.
nMoreover, many were looking to challenge the champion himself.
nFour champions had emerged, but only Bo Te was part of the Mas family.
nAlthough Bo Te had some issues with his vision, he was still a force to be reckoned with in the field. The Mas family simply couldn’t find a better candidate at this point.
nUpon hearing what Qin Ran said, Carlo turned to her and asked, “What’s your agenda?”
nQin Ran said it very seriously, and after the incident with the explosives, he didn’t think that she was joking with him.
nThe fact that she could say this meant something about herself.
n“How much market share did you allocate to the Xu family?” Qin Ran asked him calmly.
nCarlo looked at her deeply. “One percent of the South region.”
nQin Ran kept quiet.
nOne percent of a region didn’t mean much to the Mas family, but it was a rather big deal for the Xu family who had just entered Continent M.
nShe leaned against the wall and tapped on her phone casually. “Change it to one percent of the market in the South region’s economic center.”
nOne percent of this market and the one percent that the Mas family had allocated was different. This referred to 10% of the region Carlo had mentioned.
nThe way Qin Ran put it… it was evident that she knew the market forces in Continent M.
nThe South region was the battle territory of the Mas family. If they could get three years of complete management authority, then 1% in the market of the economic center was going to be insignificant to the Mas family.
nAll that the Mas family wanted was the management power.
nCarlo did have some autonomy in this. He simply nodded and said, “Sure, tell me your idea. But don’t think about the medical team, the doctor just told us that his injury can only recover if he recuperates on his own.”
nCarlo was expecting that Qin Ran would recommend him another doctor.
nBut Qin Ran simply glanced at him and then looked away. “I need you to get me something from the Underground Arena.”
nShe said very quietly.
nRight after she said that Cheng Mu waved a cell phone at her. “Miss Qin, Master Juan is looking for you.”
n“Got it.” Qin Ran paused for a moment. She then slipped her hand into her pockets and walked into the house.
nMeanwhile, Carlo was left standing outside on his own.
n“Mr. Carlo, are you alright?” Cheng Mu called out to him.
nOnly then did Carlo snap out of his daze. He turned to Cheng Mu, shook his head, and then left.

nQin Ran returned to the hall.
nThe Xu family and a group of people from the base were surrounding Bo Te.
nThere were looks of awe and admiration.
nCheng Mu followed Qin Ran in.
nThe Xu family members around the table made way for Qin Ran when they saw her enter.
nCheng Mu didn’t seem to notice it as he asked Bo Te, “Mr. Champion, what’s your boxing value?”
nBoxing value?
nSecond Uncle Xu and the rest exchanged glances. What sort of term was this?
nBo Te looked at Qin Ran, then turned to him. “I measure it every day. The last time, it was 1598. I haven’t hit 1600 yet.”
nHe was speechless.
nHe thought that 1000 was already impressive.
n“Don’t worry, you still have room for growth and improvement.” Qin Ran patted him on the shoulder. She then politely bade her farewell to the rest of the people around and took her leave. “I’ll retire first.”
nIt was already three in the morning.
nShe headed straight up.
nQin Ran seemed a little cold and unapproachable. Besides Cheng Mu, no one else seemed to have anything to say to her.
nBo Te watched her as she left, and a strange glint appeared in the corner of his eye.
nEveryone admired talent and power, especially someone like the champion of Continent M’s Underground Arena. The Xu family members around were all his fans and were protective of him.
n“Mr. Bo Te.” A youngster from the Xu family asked, “Is 1598 considered very good?”
n“Less than five people in Continent M can exceed 1500.” Bo Te didn’t say a word, but his subordinate said it for him.
nXu Yaoguang was in shock.
nBo Te had been sitting there quietly the whole time. But after Qin Ran left, he couldn’t remain seated any longer. He took his leave a few minutes later as well.
nOnly the Xu family members were left standing around.
n**
nAnother day passed.
nFebruary 10th.
n
nThe Xu family rose early.
nSecond Uncle Xu and Xu Yaoguang waited in the hall for the rest.
nA few minutes later, Cheng Mu came downstairs.
n“Where’s Miss Qin?” Second Uncle Xu asked.
nCheng Mu shook his head. “She told me last night that she’d be busy. She might be back only at night.”
n“Where could she have gone?” Second Uncle Xu furrowed in concern. “Mr. Carlo already told her not to go around on her own.”
n
nEveryone knew that the area wasn’t so safe now. It was the peak season for the fights to take place, and Continent M was a rather lawless place.
nEven Second Uncle Xu and Xu Yaoguang wouldn’t be moving off on their own without Carlo’s permission.
nAfter what had happened two nights ago, most of the Xu family members no longer had such unpleasant attitudes towards Qin Ran. Instead, they rather admired her.
n“It’s fine, Miss Qin won’t cause you any trouble.” Cheng Mu wasn’t actually worried. “She might have gone to the casino?”
nThe Southern side was where the landing area for planes was. On the Northern side was the world’s largest casino.
nCheng Juan hardly let her go there as there was talk about negative energy around there.
nCheng Mu didn’t seem the least bit concerned. Second Uncle Xu asked, “Didn’t Young Master Cheng send you here to protect Miss Qin?”
nCheng Mu found it a little awkward.
nNo, he was just a gardener.
n
n“Head to the wrestling ring first.” Cheng Mu did not wish to carry on that topic. “Miss Qin might have gone there beforehand.”
nThe largest competition in the South region of Continent M.
nOne-third of all of Continent M’s big shots were gathered there.
n
