Chapter 106 Child’s Play

nDue to the speed of the blade and the short distance between it and his torso, Earl was unable to escape the attack as the wind blade hit him just below his chest.
nIt tore through his uniform, leaving a wound that cut down from the lower part of his chest to his lower abdomen.
nFresh blood dripped down from the wound, staining the clothing surrounding the wound with a deep shade of red.
n“Aaarrgh!” Earl screamed in pain. He subconsciously moved his hand to the wound to “feel” how deep it is.
nBut just as his fingertips made contact with it, he immediately retracted his hand as another wave of pain sprung up from the wound.
nAs an earth Elementalist, he had always prided himself in his defence, especially on the thickness and sturdiness of his earth shield, however, Harry’s attack had simply gone through it!
nIf not for the fact that the force and impact of the attack was reduced by the shield, there was no doubt that it would have cut through his body!
nHolding back the pain in his abdomen, he brought out a small storage device and took out a small healing pill from it.
nWithout wasting anytime he swallowed the pill while holding back the pain racking his mind.
nThe pill took effect after a few seconds and the wound on his body slowly healed, since he had only used a low grade healing pill, it wasn’t as fast as he would have wanted, but it still made the situation better.
nHis face contorted greatly in pain and anguish, though his injuries were slowly healing, the pain he was feeling hadn’t dropped in the slightest.
n‘How is he so… strong?’ He mumbled inwardly with gritted teeth. Even then, he still all the strength in his body to lift up his head and stare at Harry.
n“F-fine… you w-won. J-just take the beast’s body… we’ll leave you alone.” He muttered. ‘Monster…’ However, he didn’t dare say the last word out.
nHarry’s eyes lingered on the Earth’s Elementalist’s kneeling on the ground for a few seconds with strange expressions flashing through his eyes.
n“Hmph.” He scoffed and then started walking back to the mana beast’s body.
nSince the black haired boy said they’d surrendered, he saw no reason to keep on fighting with them.
nThere was nothing he would gain from it; he didn’t get any quest to defeat them—surprisingly, and he didn’t want to waste more time and energy.
nThey were quite weak anyway, it would be more like bullying the weak, something he didn’t loathed.
nHe canceled Lightning Dash, however, he kept up the activation of Accelerate because he felt he shouldn’t let his guard down.
nHe placed the beast’s body in his storage device, but just as he was about to stand up, a loud, angry voice suddenly rang out behind him.
n“Hey you! Wait!” The green haired boy shouted. It seemed like he had finally regained his consciousness after getting knocked out before.
nHarry paused his steps and turned his gaze at him, his gaze lingered on the green haired boy for a few seconds as he read through the tabs and characters that flashed through his eyes.
nSeeing nothing noteworthy, he scoffed and then turned around again, ignoring the fire elementalist.

nApart from his charm that was somewhat average, the rest of his stats were simply trash.
nHe couldn’t even compare to his friend who was still quite talented.
n“Don’t dare ignore me!!!” The green haired boy whose name was Jon suddenly shouted.
nHowever, even with his shout, Harry still didn’t pay him any attention.
nHis face rapidly contorted into a deep frown and smoke of anger kept rising from his head and nose.
nThe fact that he was knocked out in one attack infuriated him, and Harry ignoring him was simply adding salt to the injury.
nHe clenched his fists tightly and then got back on his feet with shaky steps, his gaze shifted to Harry’s figure that was slowly but surely moving further away from him.
n“You can’t just leave!!” He shouted. Just then, his lips started moving, murmuring some incomprehensible words.
nImmediately, the mana inside his body started swirling violently, his fire elemental mana rushed to his legs, filling him with strength.
nSeeing the actions of his friend, Earl immediately tried to convince him to let the matter go. “H-hey!! Wha—Don’t! Dumbass!!” He shouted.
nHe would have loved to support his friend, but it was all useless. Not only was he still injured, but their opponent was also above them in terms of strength. bo𝚟𝚕.
nIgnoring his friend’s words, Jon continued his spell. Fire rapidly swirled around his knees down to his feet and also on his hands, strangely enough, his clothes didn’t get burnt nor charred.
nThis was because he was in his academy uniform, which was quite durable compared to normal clothes.
n“Flame Dash!” Suddenly, his figure bolstered forwards, leaving a small trail of flames and smoke that charred the ground.
nThe speed at which he moved was fast, very fast that his figure would only look like a blur to a normal person.
nJust then, Harry paused his steps.
nSeeing that Harry had paused his steps, a smug grin spread across Jon’s face as he closed in on Harry.
nHe thought that Harry had paused from fear, nor realising how wrong he was.
nSuddenly, Harry turned his head around. However, contrary to Jon’s expectations, Harry had a mocking smirk on his face.
nHis eyes widened slightly when he saw the smirk on Harry’s face, no matter how he tried to view the situation, he felt that something was wrong.
nHowever, he ignored the budding feeling and proceeded with his attack any way. In his mind, Harry’s was simply feeling too high, and he planned on bringing him down with his attack!
n“Hand of Flames!!” He shouted and then stretched his hand.
nImmediately, flames rose up from his wrists down to his finger tips, they burned brightly, forming a small coat of smoke around his hand.
nThe flames on his legs diminished rapidly until they eventually vanished as he wasn’t strong enough to handle two spells at once.
nWith a short roar, he threw his hand towards Harry’s face with full force.
nHarry’s stared at the incoming attack with a rather bored expression.
nWhile the “flaming hand” was quite fast, it was still slow to him.
nThis was because Accelerate was still active and his agility had crossed the 150-mark; no matter what attack any of the Elementalists threw at him, it was all pointless!
nJust when the fist was about to hit his face, Harry ‘slowly’ stepped back, causing it to miss him by a hairbreadth.
nJon’s eyes widened when he saw his attack was dodged. That was his strongest attack, he had just used his strongest combo—Flame Dash Hands of Flames—and yet this brown haired boy dodged it!
nHis surprise didn’t last long as he immediately regained his focus!
nWhat if his first attack was dodged, he could always throw another one!
n“Yeearrh!!” He roared as he swung his other fist.
n‘Such slow move…’ Harry mumbled inwardly. He was really impressed with himself at how much he had grown.
nJust a few months ago, that attack would have seemed like the fastest thing on earth, but now, it was nothing more than child’s play!
