nHowever, the students did not voice their doubts out loud.
nOnly a few of them who were more straightforward laughed and said, “Honestly, your sister doesn’t seem like an ignorant poor child at all.”
n“With that cold temperament of hers, she’s even more charming than some rich pampered young ladies.”
n…
nIt was finally lunch time.
nDue to everything that had happened and Chi Wei’s indifferent personality, nobody invited her to eat together.
nChi Wei casually tidied up her desk and headed towards the office. She gently pushed open the door.
nFu Shiyan wore a black coat today. He was leaning lazily against the chair and had a casual posture. His long legs were crossed together as he twirled around the pen in his hand. It seemed that he was waiting for someone.
nThe man looked up after hearing a creaking sound from the door. His cold and hard eyes instantly changed into warm and kind. He raised his eyebrows sinisterly.
n“Weiwei…”
n“Call me teacher.”
nChi Wei put down the plastic bag that she was holding in her hand and frowned.
nThen, her gaze fell on the table full of dishes.
nThere were sweet and sour fish, fresh shrimp dumplings, and meat soup that looked incredibly appetizing.
nThis student of hers was really good at cooking.
nChi Wei had already paid for the meal earlier so without any hesitation, she took the chopsticks provided by Fu Shiyan and started eating.
nOnce again, her cheeks bulged as she stuffed the food into her mouth. She really looked like a cute little hamster.
nFu Shiyan curled his lips and watched as Chi Wei quietly ate. He gently rubbed his fingers.
nHis sight then landed on the plastic bag that Chi Wei had brought.
nThere seemed to be some soup in it.
nThe little girl noticed his gaze.
n‘Could it be that he wanted the soup?’
nChi Wei thought to herself as she swallowed a mouthful of shrimp.
nShe looked at Fu Shiyan attentively. Then, she revealed a caring smile, just like an elder.
n“You’re too skinny, Little Yan.”
n“Here, drink some tonic soup.”
nAs soon as she finished speaking, she pushed the soup to Fu Shiyan’s side.
nChi Wei did not feel guilty at all.
nQiao Yuechu’s culinary skills were questionable. The soup was brewed according to a recipe. Yet, it emits a strange odor.
nHowever, it was also a gesture of her goodwill. If she just disposed of the soup, Qiao Yuechu would be devastated.
nIt was the right decision to give the tonic soup to Fu Shiyan.
n“…”
nThe soup was packed into three small bowls. It looked like there were three types of soup, but the man was unable to distinguish them. Instead, his eyes sparkled.
n“Little Yan?”
nChi Wei blinked her eyes. Fu Shiyan was not taking any action. She thought that he might be embarrassed, so she smiled encouragingly and said,
n“This soup was personally brewed by my mother.”
n“Drink as much as you want.”
n“There’s no need to be shy.”
n“…”
nFu Shiyan’s eyes had a look of helplessness in them. The man sneered but in the end, he surrendered and picked up a spoon.
nHis face stiffened as he drank the soup.
nChi Wei looked concerned.
nHowever, he calmly said, “It’s delicious.”
n…
nAs soon as she heard what he said, Chi Wei’s worried expression intensified. She placed her small and beautiful fingers on Fu Shiyan’s wrist to check his pulse, which caught him off guard.
n‘Had he gone insane?’
n
