nSong Yaoyao’s eyes curved.

nIn the end, she had an innocent expression on her face.

nHuo Yunque’s phoenix eyes closed lightly. He could see clearly through her and his lips slightly curled.

nYou better hide that tail of yours and not get caught.

n…

nCarrying her backpack, Song Yaoyao bounced out of the elevator behind Huo Yunque and ran straight into Huo Ningxi who was just about to leave.

nHuo Ningxi was still hurting in the spot where he had been hit, so when he saw Song Yaoyao, he was extremely displeased.

nAs he looked into her eyes, he asked, “Song Yaoyao, are you a shadow that follows someone around?”

nWasn’t his Small Uncle taking her home? How did he end up bringing her here?

nWhat mysterious game were these two playing?

nThump—

n“Ow!! Song Yaoyao, f*ck—”

nAn empty milk tea cup hit Huo Ningxi’s face and fell on the ground. It rolled a few times and stopped, creating a sense of silent arrogance.

n“Are you a f*cken fly? Why do you keep buzzing around in front of my eyes?” A fist swayed in front of Huo Ningxi’s eyes, appearing as though it would hit his face at any moment.

nHuo Ningxi held his face and took a couple of steps back, grinding his teeth until they squeaked.

nWalking ahead, Huo Yunque turned around casually, “Song Yaoyao, little kids shouldn’t swear.”

nHearing this, Song Yaoyao pointed at Huo Ningxi unhappily, “But he swore too!”

n“Just because he’s beyond saving, does that mean you have to be like him too?”

nThe man strode away and disappeared around the corner.

nHis gray trousers outlined his long, straight, and slender legs. With his superior height of 185cm, the suit on his body made him look more perfect than some of the top male models. He was absolutely charming!

nSeeing him walk away, Song Yaoyao quickly ran after him.

n“Gege! Wait for me~”

nHuo Ningxi gritted his teeth. “Song Yaoyao, you just wait!”

nThis was now a grudge!

nSong Yaoyao caught up to Huo Yunque easily. She grabbed onto the corner of his shirt, turned her head, and pulled a face at him.

n“Bleh—”

nHit me if you want!

nBut it’s a shame that you’re no match for me~

n…

nElder Huo was in his sixties. He was quite old when Huo Yunque was born, and he was his only son.

nAs for Huo Ningxi’s father, he was just the son of an old friend’s. Due to an accident, his parents passed away so Elder Huo adopted him.

nSome could say he was cold-blooded and heartless, but when it came to his biological son, especially one that was finally born in his forties, he was particularly biased.

nFortunately, the clever Huo Yunque, who had followed beside his father from a young age, did not disappoint.

nThe moment that Huo Yunque entered his father’s room, the old man had just returned from next door.

nIt was often said that an elder was a precious asset of the home, but it wasn’t often that a person treated the hospital like his home.

n“Oh? Did you run into Ningxi on the way here? He just left,” Elder Huo asked as he put down the gaming device in his hands.

nHuo Yunque walked inside and replied indifferently, “Yes, I saw him.”

n“Tch, he’s your nephew. Why are you always so cold to him? I wonder who you inherited that from!” Elder Huo rolled his eyes. His son was talented but too cold. Just as he was sighing, he spotted the corner of a shirt behind Huo Yunque.

nIn surprise, he asked, “Are you hiding something behind you?”

nHuo Yunque raised his eyebrows and moved aside.

nA small head peered out behind him. She had fair skin, a tall nose, a small mouth, and big eyes like a doll. “Hello, Grandfather!” she greeted cutely.

n“Oh!” Elder Huo’s face lit up as he looked at Huo Yunque in surprise. It was as though he no longer recognized him. “Where did this young lady come from?”

n
