Chapter 260 - The Tower of the Living Beasts

After three days and three nights of traveling, Mike and his group finally arrived at the Great Leno Desert near the capital of Rovidius.

The temperature here was obviously much higher than in the capital of Rovidius.

The carriage stopped at the corner of the desert.

“Prince Consort, Ninth Princess, we have arrived at the Great Leno Desert!”

Mike opened the window of the carriage and stuck his head out.

The place was filled with yellow sand. As far as the eye could see, it was all sand.

“Okay, I got it. We will get off now!”

Mike said to the coachman that he had just spoken with.

The six people stepped down from the carriage, one after another.

All of the luggage they had brought on this trip were moved down by the coachman.

“Prince Consort! Our mission ends here then! I wish you success in your investigation!”

After the coachman politely took his leave, he drove the carriage in the direction of the capital.

Mike put all of their luggage into the interspatial ring created by General Brad.

The other teachers and Lansi had another discussion when they saw such a magical thing as Mike.

Although everyone was enthusiastic, what they did not know was that the enthusiasm would soon be gone.

Cisco took out the map of the Great Leno Desert that he had bought in the capital of Rovidius.

He carefully observed the route that they were going to take.

“We’re here now… Then, we have to go through here… and then here… Finally, we’ll arrive at the Fierce Beast Demon Tower!”

Cisco’s fingers kept drawing back and forth on the map.

He looked confident.

“Okay! Let’s not talk anymore then! Let’s go now!”

Casey said.

The temperature difference between day and night in the Great Leno Desert was huge. During the day, when the sun rose, the temperature was hot.

At night, after the sun had set, the temperature would drop to freezing point.

Because Mike had already cultivated his divine body, he did not feel uncomfortable about this change.

Therefore, he seemed to be the most relaxed among the six people.

Lansi’s strength was weaker, so her speed was slower.

“Lansi, are you okay?”

Mike asked with concern.

Lansi was sweating.

At hearing Mike’s question, she waved his concerns away and said, “I’m fine, let’s continue!”

“Do you want to drink some water?”

Mike took out a leather water bag and handed it to Lansi.

Lan Xi took the water bag and gulped down a few mouthfuls.

Meanwhile, Cisco and the other three teachers were so hot that they had taken off most of their clothes.

They were now only wearing thin short-sleeved undershirts.

“Director Cisco! How long do we have to walk?”

Lamas asked.

“It’s going to take a while! However, I did see on the map that there is a building somewhere nearby.”

“Really?”

Casey wiped the sweat off his forehead and said, “Let’s find that building and rest first. The climate here is really unbearable!”

After walking for a while, everyone except Mike had lost the strength to move forward.

“Mike… you… How is it that you… still have the strength to keep going?”

Casey said tiredly.

Mike scratched his head as he looked at Casey.

“Hahaha, maybe I’m just in better shape!”

Mike looked at Lansi who was walking beside him. Lansi’s physical condition had gotten really bad by now.

Seeing that Lansi was about to fall, Mike took her by the hand.

“Let me carry you!”

Mike said gently into Lansi’s ear.

Mike supported Lansi on his back, before continuing to follow in everyone’s footsteps.

It was noon now, when the sun was at its hottest.

Everyone’s footsteps became slower and slower.

Just then, the system notification suddenly sent a message.

System notification: A large number of Fierce Beasts are ahead, please pay attention! Please pay attention! Please pay attention!

After seeing the system notification, Mike immediately alerted everyone.

“Everyone, please be careful. A group of Fierce Beasts has appeared in front!”

After hearing this, Cisco and the other three teachers, who were already exhausted, instantly tensed up.

They found a small sand dune that was relatively high so that all of them could crouch behind it.

Just then, a group of Fierce Beasts indeed walked over.

Mike estimated that there were about twenty of them.

The grade of these Fierce Beasts was all around Lord-Level.

The one who seemed to be leading them was close to King-level.

In Mike’s eyes, such a group of Fierce Beasts was not really a matter of concern.

“Why are these Fierce Beasts here?”

Casey asked.

“I think it must be related to the Fierce Beast Demon Tower!

“But look, these Fierce Beasts look so strange! They don’t look as ferocious as they usually do.”

Mike had noticed that the appearance of these Fierce Beasts was obviously different from before.

All the Fierce Beasts that Mike had seen before were all ferocious with their tongues sticking out.

Moreover, their eyes were fierce. No matter where they were, their bodies would emit a unique murderous aura that belonged to Fierce Beasts.

After some observation, everyone found that this Fierce Beast was casually walking towards a huge white tower in the distance.

“Everyone, look! That seems to be the Fierce Beast Demon Tower!”

Lansi exclaimed as she pointed at the huge white tower in the distance.

“It seems that we have arrived!”

Mike calmly said.

“What should we do now?”

Cisco asked.

Everyone glanced at Mike.

Mike had trouble focusing his attention.

“To be honest, although these beasts look dangerous, I don’t know why, but I feel like they’re not dangerous!”

“Not dangerous? Mike, did you have a fever and burn up your brain? How could you say such a thing?”

Casey ridiculed.

Mike once again observed the surroundings, and then said again, “In short, I think everyone should move towards the Fierce Beast Demon Tower first!”

Hearing Mike’s words, everyone nodded in agreement.

Just like that, everyone began to slowly move towards the Fierce Beast Demon Tower.

The group of Fierce Beasts came to the bottom of the tower.

Mike and the rest observed the scene from afar.

They could see countless beasts entering and exiting the tower.

However, they could not understand why they were doing so.

“What do we do now?”

Lansi asked.

After hearing Lansi’s question, Mike held his breath and said, “How about this? I’ll go ahead and explore the way first!”

“No! It’s too dangerous!”

Cisco immediately denied it.

Hearing Cisco’s words, Mike felt helpless.

“Then, what should we do? Do we have to wait here forever?”

As they were arguing, Mike suddenly stood up and walked in the direction of the huge white tower.
