Chapter 68

nSoon, Leon’s figure blurred. He sprinted at an inhuman speed. A human’s naked eye can only see his blurry figure

n“Cough! Cough!”

nNot that far from Leon, Claude can be seen. His face was terribly pale and his lips were tainted with fresh blood

nHis feet were moving at a fast speed as he constantly coughed out blood. His soul was aching and he don’t even have enough strength to cast spells anymore

nHis Shadow Suit was automatically deactivated moments ago. He was only relying on his physical abilities now to run as fast as possible

nHowever, even if Claude was physically stronger than normal humans, the mage path still lacks in the physical department

nWithout the support of spells, Claude definitely couldn’t outrun the General that was still at his peak

nAs expected, it didn’t that that long before Claude can see Leon again

nHis eyes flickered with undeniable rage. Why is it that in this clash, the ones that are harming the people is the one that would probably survive?

nClaude doesn’t think that he is a good person as he always dirtied his hands for the sake of his own morals

nHowever, he still thinks that he was better that this vile human

nDespite the aching in his soul, Claude still recalled his wind-type mystic gem to forcefully cast a spell since he can see Leon throwing another punch at him

n“Wind Funnel!”

nClaude stretched his hand out and he conjured a magic circle that releases winds that tried to push Leon away but it didn’t work

nThe spell merely slowed down Leon but he still advance until he arrived in front of Claude

nThe General threw another fiery lion’s head punch and Claude gritted his teeth as he tried to use his spell to lessen the damage he would receive

nEven then, Claude’s body was still thrown far away. The impact of a punch from a 6th fusion rank mage was terrible and Claude’s body flew like an arrow

nHis body was thrown in the air, traveling at a bullet speed. His eyesight blurred, one of his arms completely broken and dangling

nHis chest also caved in a bit as if the slightest bit of force would puncture his heart

nThis enough damage is enough for a person to die but strangely enough, Claude was still burning with living intent

nHe doesn’t what to die yet and absolutely not in the hands of a traitor to humanity

nIt shouldn’t be the one that was trying to do good that would die, it should be the ones that committed the most hideous crimes

nClaude’s eyes flickered. If he were to fall from this height, there is no doubt that his body would turn into a meat paste

nHe can’t let himself fall like that. He has to struggle for as long as he could in hopes that the reinforcements would arrive on time not only to save him but also to kill or arrest the traitor

nClaude’s wind-type gem resonates with the natural laws again. Before he really fell, he conjured another magic circle

n“Breeze!”

nBecause of Claude’s current state, his Breeze spell was pitifully weak

nHe tried to prevent himself from getting hurt any further but his spell’s effect was pitifully low

nIt did lessen the fall’s impact but in the end, Claude was still harmed

nHe felt some of his bones breaking and even his head bled causing his vision to blur even further

nClaude can feel himself losing consciousness. He was bleeding in more than one place

nThe amount of blood that he lost was already at a dangerous level

n“Ayoo!! What the hell?! Why is a man suddenly falling from the sky?!”

nJust before Claude can lose his consciousness, he suddenly heard a familiar voice

nThat voice… that is the voice of Rezen… the talented junior that helped him in the past

nClaude was not wrong with his recognition as in the next second, Rezen’s face appeared in his blurry vision

n“B-Brother Claude? S-** what happened to you?! Why are you in this state and why are you still handsome?! This is unfair!” Rezen cried out

nHe just finished asking his system a question when a man suddenly fell on his farm

nWhy is it always men? Why can’t it be a woman? Rezen swears that this world seems to have a plan for him that may or may not be to his liking

nRezen waved his hand, almost forgetting to help the dying man before assaulting him with his words

nA recovery pill appeared on Rezen’s palm, he was about to feed it to Claude when the man suddenly burst with power again

nRezen’s hand was suddenly held by Claude’s bloody one as the latter did his best to speak

nNo matter what, Claude cannot let an innocent civilian die all because of him. He knew that Leon would soon arrive here to kill him

nIf Leon also saw Rezen then there is no doubt that he would also kill him

nThis matter is entirely because of Claude’s doing. He thinks that there were moles in the military and he decided to investigate on his own

nHe even tortured Ellery with his spell even though he merely has some suspicions

nIf Claude didn’t do anything, Rezen’s life would not be in danger right now

n“R-Rezen… cough” Claude called out before he threw up blood again

n“Hey…”

n“R-run…”

n“Wait”

n“D-danger…”

n“Listen first”

n“G-go…”

n“As I was saying!”

nRezen suddenly got a sense of Deja Vu. He felt like he encountered a similar scenario. A scene where he was trying to feed someone a recovery pill to save their life but then that person even on the brink of death is still being talkative

nWhy can’t they just keep quiet and listen to Rezen first? He is not a doctor, especially not a quack one but he has his system’s recovery pills, alright?

nThese things are miraculous that can be used on any type of wound and even has a great dermatological effect!

nCan’t they see how Rezen is practically glowing these days? That was because his skin is always put in its best condition thanks to the recovery pill!

nBoom!!

nBefore Rezen can even feed the dying man the recovery pill, a certain intruder already arrived

nThe ground cracked from Leon’s arrival and the eleven artificial humans including Zero made their move

nTheir tattoos covered their bodies, resonating with the elements of the world

nTheir physical stats rose levels higher than before and they didn’t hesitate to attack

nThey can feel the threatening aura coming from Leon and they knew that their master would be in danger because of this person’s arrival

nHowever, before they can even land at least a single attack, Leon already cast a spell

n“Lion’s Roar!”

nThe General opened his mouth, an orange magic circle appeared as he roared at the artificial humans

nAll of these Tattoo Warriors were at the 3rd rank but they weren’t even able to do anything

nThe artificial humans stops in their tracks, their bodies shook before their eyes widened

nThey bled on their seven orifices and fell down. They have the numerical advantage but because there were three ranks difference in power, they were nothing but ants in front of Leon

n“Noooo!!!!” Rezen cried out after seeing what happened to his subordinates

nThey might not have many memories but they are still his subordinates! Not to mention, those eleven are artificial humans but they also have their own feelings and thoughts even if they treat Rezen as the most important part of their life

nThey are not someone that Rezen wants to be put in harm!

n“Don’t worry, I originally planned on killing them but seeing that they are actually Tattoo Warriors, I changed my mind, Her Majesty might like them. They are after all rare” Leon said with a sneer and Rezen felt at least a bit better since his people were not killed

n“L-Leon, f-**ing traitor. Y-you are s-still a G-General once… d-don’t i-involve the civilians on t-this!” Claude forced out

nHe was already on the brink of death yet he was suddenly filled with power again as if death cannot take him

nHe was like a cockroach that is hard to kill no matter how bad their state was

n“G-General?” Rezen was stunned. He doesn’t know much but he still knows that to be a General in the military, one must be at the 6th fusion rank

nEven if Rezen is multiplied by a thousand times, he is still nothing. At most, a single AoE spell would be enough to kill him over and over again

nThis discovery causes all the hair on Rezen’s body to stand up. This was the most dangerous experience that he had ever been in his life!

nIt’s like he was constantly being pushed into situations that would endanger his life. The level of danger even rose with every encounter

nWhat the hell is wrong with his **ty luck?

n
