Chapter 46 - The Cure

nPrincess Eleventh asked her servants to wait outside, she trotted all the way to the yard.

nXiao Yue greeted her deferentially.

nMurong Xue lifted a hand at Xiao Yue, “You may rise.”

n

n

n“Thank you, Princess Eleventh.” Xiao Yue rose secretly thinking how friendly Princess Eleventh was, she didn’t assume great airs like she was supposed to.

nLittle did Xiao Yue know Princess Eleventh was being approachable because of her lady, Princess Eleventh wanted to impress her lady Luo Qianqian.

n“My good sister-in-law~”

nMurong Xue threw herself at Luo Qianqian as soon as she saw Luo Qianqian, Murong Xue even got a bit handsy on Luo Qianqian when she hugged her.

n

n

n‘Wow, a lucky bastard my brother is!’

nIt was good that Luo Qianqian had no idea what was in Murong Xue’s mind, otherwise she would for sure correct Murong Xue’s habit of throwing herself at her.

n“Xue, you need to be more elegant.”

n“Hehe, you are too pretty that I can’t help but throw myself at you.” Murong Xue was such a smooth talker.

n

n

nShe felt something odd by her feet.

nMurong Xue lowered her head only to find it was a puppy who was jumping up and down at her feet.

n“Puppy? Aww, you are such a cute puppy!” Murong Xue screamed, she bent down and picked the puppy from the ground, she carried the puppy in her arms and rubbed her face against puppy.

nXiao Yue was dumbfounded, Her Highness was such an animal lover!

nPlus, puppy was just too cute to resist, innocent puppy eyes, round little body, shining fur, wagging tails.

n“Mwah!” Murong Xue left a big kiss on puppy’s cheek.

n

n

nMurong Xue was glad she told her servants to wait outside, otherwise she could never hear the end of it, such as “Princess, please behave yourself!” or “Princess, I will tell His Majesty!”, boring

nPuppy knew who loved him by nature, now he was having such a great time with Murong Xue.

nLuo Qianqian interrupted them to see what brought Murong Xue here this day.

nLuo Qianqian asked Murong Xue to go to her room with her because it was getting too sunny in the yard.

n“My good sister-in-law, tell me the puppy’s name please.” asked Murong Xue cheerfully, still holding puppy in her arms.

nLuo Qianqian poured Murong Xue a cup of tea, Xiao Yue and Feng Qing were doing their own business, they didn’t follow them into Luo Qianqian’ room.

n“Puppy.” replied Luo Qianqian.

nMurong Xue asked hastily, “I know this is a puppy, I’m asking the puppy’s name.”

n

n

n“His name is puppy.” repeated Luo Qianqian.

nMurong Xue was speechless.

n“Sister-in-law!” retorted Murong Xue, “How can you name a puppy ‘puppy’? And why are you calling it a him?”

nLuo Qianqian poured herself a cup of tea as well, “I know, I’ve checked.”

nSeeing the way puppy being all cute and playful in Murong Xue’s arms and thinking about the way puppy playing with Feng Qing, somehow Luo Qianqian thought puppy liked to play with pretty girls more than boys!

nLuo Qianqian soon shook her head, no, that couldn’t be true!

nXiao Yue calling puppy in the yard to feed him, puppy jumped out from Murong Xue’s arms with reluctance, sigh, pretty girl VS food, hard life.

n“Sister-in-law, I’m so jealous of you, how I wish I could have a puppy, but my parents won’t allow me.”

nLuo Qianqian comforted her, “You can come here any time, but first things first, what brings you here today?”

nMurong Xue came to her senses and recalled she was here to remind Luo Qianqian about Master Lingtian, so she pounded the table gently, “Have you forgotten what you have promised me?”

nWait, what?

n‘What have I promised her?’ Luo Qianqian panicked, she was so occupied with fighting a battle with wits and courage with the two ladies in the mansion, she could hardly recall what she had promised this pretty girl.

nSeeing Luo Qianqian’s reaction, Murong Xue pouted, she was sure her sister-in-law had forgotten.

n

n

nShe snorted, “I know it! Thank God I came here today to remind you about it.”

nLuo Qianqian now recalled, she defended herself, “How could I possibly forget? About finding you a new master, right? Master Lingtian?”

nLuo Qianqian looked sideways because she wasn’t sure whether it was this that Murong Xue was talking about.

n“Yay, you did remember. Tomorrow Master Lingtian will arrive the capital city, my brother and the Crown Prince will welcome him together, let’s go fill in a form tomorrow at the tavern where he will reside.”

n“No problem at all.” replied Luo Qianqian, she didn’t go out for the past a few days, partly to avoid that someone, well, it looked like tomorrow she would see him.

nMaster Lingtian had announced that he wouldn’t care what background or gender of his future disciple.

nBut! His disciple must be good-looking! It was like an unwritten rule. Rumor had it that even though Master Lingtian didn’t have a disciple yet, all his servants and maids were good-looking.

nAnd, all the candidates must be under eighteen years old and come to him with a speech or a talent show, no limitations of the length or the content of the speech or the talent show, as long as the speech or the show could touch Master Lingtian’s heart.

nMaster Lingtian didn’t say how many disciples he was going to accept, it might be one, it might be many. But everyone was dying to be the first to fill in the form to increase the possibility.

nListening to that, Luo Qianqian frowned, “talent show?”

nShe had no idea what her talent was.

n“Yeah, I’m curious too, tell me what’s your specialty, my good sister-in-law?” asked Murong Xue cheerfully. Murong Xue, as a princess, was thoroughly accomplished in lyre playing chess calligraphy and painting. Plus she was the most favored princess in the royal family, so she was fairly confident Master Lingtian would accept her.

nLuo Qianqian closed her eyes and searched the memory, it seemed like the owner of this body was not privileged enough to pick up any hobby or specialty.

nAnd herself… … the answer was nope!

nThat didn’t leave her mush choice.

n“I heard that Master Lingtian had someone he loved so much, maybe you can work on that?” suggested Murong Xue, “His lover is critically ill, he said he would do anything for the one who could present the cure, let alone becoming his disciple.”

nBut it was that easy to find the cure.

n
