nYui came over to find Seiji again.

nSeiji didn’t expect her to come over again so quickly.

nThis time, she didn’t come inside Natsuya’s mansion. Instead, she had Seiji come out to her car. On her car, Yui handed a tube with black runes on it to him.

nThis tube contained the spirit that had been taken out of Shigure Tendo’s body, or Kungo.

n“Thank you.” After accepting the tube, Seiji directly looked at his older sister’s beautiful face. “I’m guessing that you didn’t come all the way over here just for the sake of giving this to me?”

n“What do you intend to do with that spirit?” Yui asked a question of her own instead.

n“Gather information… although it might not be of much use,” Seiji replied.

nHe didn’t want to tell her about the remnant souls, since this was related to how he managed to absorb Inner World Essence from the Totsuka no Tsurugi. He had the feeling that it would be bad for him if he told his sister about this ability.

nAlthough Seiji still wasn’t certain what this so-called Inner World Essence was, judging from the name alone, it was some important type of special energy. And, this particular broken Totsuka no Tsurugi spiritual artifact was an important piece of evidence regarding the Tendo Family’s scheme. If he honestly told Yui about absorbing this special energy from the sword through his system, creating the Soul Room, and the remnant souls within it… Seiji could already predict that Yui would forcefully bring him to Soul Society.

nHis older sister was a high-ranking and loyal member of Soul Society!

n“Tell me if you obtain any useful information,” Yui said while looking at Seiji’s face.

nIt wasn’t important how he’d obtained information. The important part was that she was told any information that he learned.

n“I will.”

nThree seconds of silence followed after this.

n“There’s nothing else at all?” Seiji asked once more.

nSomething flashed in Yui’s eyes.

n“The mastermind behind this entire scheme is Sougo Tendo, the head of the Tendo Family,” Yui began. “We’re preparing to take action against him. However, there’s a high chance of failure. It’s possible for the entire situation to go out of control, to the point where the entire city may be destroyed. This is the destruction end that you must have seen with your ability… is that right?”

nSeiji fell silent, not answering.

nYui took this as tacit admittance.

n“You’ve said before that I should call for you if I needed you,” Yui continued. “Can I really do so?”

n‘Of course you can.’ Seiji was about to reply like this, but before he could do so…

n“No, this can’t be done!” Yui suddenly rejected what she just said. “You can’t wantonly use your ability. You’ve already done quite well, Seiji. Let’s just leave things at that… take your companions and leave this city.”

nSeiji was stunned by her sudden change in attitude.

n“Leave?”

n“That’s right, immediately.”

n“Why?”

n“Because it’s highly dangerous here.”

n“That’s not what I’m asking!” Seiji greatly emphasized his tone as he asked once again. “Why?”

n‘Why not take advantage of me? Right now, the city is in such danger that it might be destroyed. Despite this, what else could you be worried about?’ Seiji expressed this with the look in his eyes.

nHowever, Yui averted her gaze.

n“You don’t need to know,” she stated softly.

nAt this moment, Seiji felt anger boil up within him, but he immediately suppressed it.

n“You need my help,” Seiji claimed.

n“No, I don’t.”

n“You do.”

n“I don’t.”

n“You do! Stop lying.”

nThe atmosphere suddenly became rather tense.

nYui took a deep breath before slowly turning around. Her eyes shone with a deep light.

n“Just who… do you think you are?”

nHer tone was rather icy, and seemed to contain an indescribable deeper meaning.

n“I am Seiji Haruta,” Seiji answered her directly without any hesitation. “Your younger brother.”

nYui was expressionless after hearing this answer.

nAt this moment, her cell phone rang.

nShe took out her cell phone and answered the call.

n“I’ll immediately return.” This was all she said after hearing whatever was said on the other end.

nYui then put away her cell phone and glanced at Seiji.

n“You should get off my car now.”

nSeiji didn’t move as he continued looking directly at her.

n“Is this really fine?”

n“Get off my car.” Yui didn’t answer his question as she coldly repeated herself.

nSeiji could tell that she was restraining herself from something.

n“Give me a reason.” Seiji furrowed his eyebrows.

n“You’re not the savior of the world,” Yui stated.

n“Are you, then?” Seiji questioned.

n“Neither am I,” Yui spoke softly. “The world shouldn’t have a savior. You’ve truly done well enough already. That’s why you should leave, Seiji.”

nAfter Seiji got off her car and returned to Natsuya’s place, Mika and the others wisely didn’t ask him what happened after seeing his expression.

nSeiji put down the tube containing Kungo’s soul on a table, sat down in a chair, folded his arms, and remained silent for quite a while.

nHe could tell that Yui had intended to ask him for help, but changed her mind for some unknown reason.

n‘The world shouldn’t have a savior… is it?’

nHe didn’t disagree with this sentence. However, since he had already resolved himself to help the city avoid its destruction ending, this sentence sounded like sarcasm to him now.

nOf course, he knew that Yui wasn’t trying to be sarcastic at all.

nShe seemed to be resisting something.

nHowever, he still didn’t know the reason.

nNo… she already told him the reason, but he didn’t know its deeper meaning.

nSeiji could only sigh. He felt rather helpless and tired.

nShould he listen to her?

nOf course, he could refuse to listen. He could stay here and continue fighting.

nBut, what could he change?

nThe mastermind behind the entire scheme was the head of the Tendo Family! Even if Seiji wanted to do something, he wouldn’t be able to do anything.

nIf Soul Society successfully dealt with the Tendo Family, then the city would be fine. But if Soul Society failed, the city would be destroyed. Whatever Seiji did or didn’t do, whether he stayed behind or not, that would all be irrelevant!

n‘No… I shouldn’t think like that.’ Seiji stopped himself from thinking about such depressing things.

nHe then looked over at the black tube, and decided to release this samurai’s soul first.

nSeiji immediately took action. He stood up, picked up the tube, and returned to the Soul Room in his Spirit House.

nWhen he entered the Soul Room, he saw the floating soul orbs, a large silver orb quietly remaining on the ground, and Natsuya, who had remained behind in an attempt to communicate with the other souls.

n“You’re back,” Natsuya greeted him.

n“Yeah. Have you learned anything?”

n“No.” Natsuya shook her head as she glanced over at the silver orb on the ground. “That hasn’t moved at all.”

nAfter Seiji’s system suppressed Koutarou, his soul had remained in a large silver orb form without doing anything.

nSeiji nodded in understanding. He then showed Natsuya the tube in his hand.

n“Yui Nee-san gave this to me… I’m going to open it now. It should be alright to do so here, but we should still be on guard.”

nAfter Natsuya prepared for potential battle, Seiji slowly opened the lid of the tube.

nBlack mist instantly poured out from within, slowly forming a dark red humanoid figure. Kungo’s form was hazy, and the place where his face should have been had two red swirls that resembled eyes. He resembled a spiritual creature.

nNo, he was indeed a spiritual creature, wasn’t he? The real form of that ridiculously handsome samurai was actually a spiritual creature from the Realm of Cherry Blossoms. This seemed to make sense.

n“Harano…” A low and raspy voice came from the humanoid figure.

n“How are you feeling, Kungo?”

n“Why didn’t you… eliminate me?”

n“Because I think you could still be useful.” Seiji looked directly at Kungo before indicating towards the various colored orbs of light all around. “Look at these… among them are the people from your town. Why don’t you try to see if you can communicate with them?”

nKungo slowly looked around.

n“What are these?”

n“They’re remnant souls. These are the true identities of everyone in your town…” Seiji paused for a moment. “Your master might also be among them.”

n“Master…” The swirls on Kungo’s face started glowing brightly, reflecting his excitement. “Is that for real!?”

n“I have no need to lie to you. However, it’s only a possibility. I can’t promise that she’s among them,” Seiji told him. “To be honest with you, I really wish you could find your master and wake her up.”

nKungo’s “eyes” shone even brighter as he looked all around at the soul orbs.

n“What… is that?” Kungo noticed the large silver orb.

n“That’s…” Seiji was about to explain when the silver orb suddenly moved!

n
