nEvan D. Sherden. Unwillingly Creating Relations (5)

nAfter a great waltz with Arisha von Pellati, who had made his brain hurt with all that talk, Evan wanted to get out of the party and hide somewhere in the mansion. However, he didn’t do it.

n“You have to dance with me, too, Master Evan.”

n“You want to dance with me too, Sis Serpina?”

n“After her, I want to dance with you too.”

n“Sis Hanna also…”

n“Oh, my God. Then I… Master Evan, please dance with me as well!”

nArisha’s request to waltz had served as a catalyst for other aristocratic women who were all waiting for him to dance with them, starting with Serpina and Hanna. That was the first time Evan had been able to explore the bold side of women.

nEven in the world of the Yo-Ma Great War series, there was no custom of a woman asking a man to dance first, but they were acting braver today. Evan’s acceptance seemed to have eliminated everyone’s hesitation.

nOr maybe it was Evan’s enchanting beauty that stirred everyone’s reasoning entirely, which had led to such results.

n

n

n“Wow, Master Evan is really at the peak of his popularity.”

n“It’s his 12th birthday, so he should get that much attention. For a 12-year-old, it is something of a blessing.”

n“Well, naturally he’s our Master too, but… I don’t think I want to be stuck among so many people like that.”

nSeeing Evan’s exhausted face who was constantly dancing with other women on the stage, Raihan and Shine exchanged smiles while conversing with each other.

nRaihan had been hiding from Hannah and Serpina, and now he had finally found some freedom. Shine was also sitting there, and as a sign of faithfulness to Evan, he refused any offers to dance.

n“He probably didn’t make a lot of contact with you intentionally so that you and Belois could enjoy the party.”

n“Of course he cares about us a lot. He didn’t ask for anything special from me or Belois today. I just don’t feel like dancing right now. Above all, a party like this is not something that holds great importance in my heart.”

n“Aren’t you interested in women?”

n“Well, I’m not interested right now because there are so many other things that I need to focus on for the time being.”

nShine crumpled the whole skewer in his mouth all at once, then swung his hand to hold another and started chewing loudly. Raihan noticed that his hand movements were similar to that of handling a dagger.

n“I want to enter the dungeon at the earliest possibility.”

n“It will be proof of the promise that we made with Master Evan. I also want to venture in there… Of course, now I firmly believe in Master Evan’s decisions and abilities and even if it doesn’t work out as he says, I still have no intention of leaving him.”

nFor the past three years, Shine had been training for the day that he would enter the dungeon together with Evan and Belois.

nSo now… Entering the dungeon itself held a special meaning for him, and it was impossible for him to think about anything else at the moment.

n“The prospect of entering the dungeon is very exciting for me, so much so that I can’t seem to think about anything else lately.”

n“That’s the same with me, haha!”

nRaihan was determined to enter and conquer the dungeon with Evan.

nAlthough the direction in which his abilities had evolved was a little different from what he had originally imagined… But still, he was confident that he had gotten a lot stronger. He also wanted to prove his worth and skills in the dungeon, and Shine wasn’t falling behind him in retrospect.

n“But too much excitement can lead to unexpected mistakes which can ultimately result in death. Therefore we also have to practice being calm in the face of difficulties.”

n“You’re right. We have to be content with our decisions to make progress.”

nShine nodded at Raihan’s words and then glanced at his side.

nNot participating in their conversations and not even reacting at all to everyone else (including jeers from Crow and countless other boys) the person who was continuously glaring at Evan was Belois.

n“Hey Belois, just ask Master Evan to dance with you.”

n“Silly Shine, shut up.”

n“Why should I? Don’t you want to dance with him?”

nBelois firmly refuted, but Shine knew very well what she was thinking. As soon as the second half of the party had begun, she had carefully changed in the summer dress that Evan had bought her from the Royal City.

nIt was spring season, and tonight was particularly cozy; therefore, many people had dressed similarly to her.

nOf course, among all of them, Belois was putting on a show of extreme discipline, but Shine knew… She also wanted to dance with Evan.

n“I’m just saying that you’re making yourself look like you want to throw balls of flames onto the heads of the women dancing with Master Evan right now.”

nBelois couldn’t deny Shine’s words. Raihan and Shine felt chills run down their spines as they watched Belois’s face, which wore a horrifying expression at those words which he had said jokingly.

n“The nobles will hear you. You should stop talking like that.”

n“Don’t worry about that, Belois. I believe you already know that your fireball has the power to kill all of them instantly right?”

n“…That is exactly why I am having a hard time restraining myself.”

nThe two who were listening to her felt goosebumps.

n‘She really has been patient! If she loses it, I don’t know how many women will be in danger of dying today!’ Shine thought inwardly.

n“Should I go and ask him instead on your behalf? That Belois wants to dance with Master Evan?”

n“No way… Shine told me earlier that I shouldn’t ask for it first.”

n“I remember that and you may very well obey… But still, today is a special day.”

n“Every day with the Master is special to me. Not even one moment in his service is useless to me.”

nBeing able to say this without hesitation could have been regarded as something of a specialty of Belois.

nThe poor girl was still staring at Evan’s partner as if she wanted to murder her, but if apart from that, she looked pitiful.

n“Ah, Sis Maybell has also arrived.”

n“I thought she would have come sooner.”

nWhile Belois was suffering alone with these thoughts, Maybell had finally completed all of the work of the day. She came dashing in the avenue and charged straight at Evan, who had just finished dancing with his partner.

nEvan received applause from countless people for his wonderful rotating waltz while he hugged others.

n“Master Evan says he hates being popular, and then he chooses to do things that catch people’s attention.”

n“That is what I thought too at first, but he can’t help it. Young Master is, by nature, a talented person that everyone is attracted to.”

n“He is the most perfect of them all… It wasn’t like that on my 12th birthday.”

n“Oh, hello.”

nCrow had walked up to them. It seemed that he had gathered the courage to talk to Belois, but he was completely rejected by her in a very cold manner. With his heart broken, he started to head back but then stopped.

n“I want to be like Master Evan too…”

n“We will not allow you to speak badly about him, so please give up.”

n“Damn it…”

nEvan, who had been dancing merrily with Maybell until now, changed partners and started dancing with the Lute Girls one by one. High cheers, enthusiastic applause, and joyful voices echoed.

n“Hey it’s my turn now, go back!”

n“Young Master, please dance with me too!”

n“How long are you going to keep dancing Master?”

n“Let us all dance! Keep going until you are tired!”

nAs Evan danced heartily in the center of everyone, he looked like the idol of the world. If there are two such attractive beings, where can other people taste the world?

n“Although Master Evan already said that there is a different main character in this world…”

n“I don’t know if there is anyone like him. And maybe there is no one more important than the Master.”

n“I want to become like Master Evan to win the heart of Miss Belois…” Crow chimed in again.

n“Really?”

n‘Is that the only reason you want to be like Master Evan?’ Shine did not hide how pathetic he felt and grabbed Belois by the hand to face him.

n“Belois, tell him yourself again for the last time. Since she has her own soul and feelings, let her tell you the truth inside her heart.”

n“Just trying to copy Master Evan does not mean that Master Crow can easily become him. Even if I am freed, even if I become a nobleman, I will follow Master Evan to death. So please pay attention to what I’m trying to tell you. Honestly, it has become something of a nuisance to many people, including me.”

n“What?” Crow felt dejected.

nIt was then that Evan waved at them.

n“What are all of you doing here just sitting by yourselves?”

nLooking at the party, all of the people in the venue resonated with Evan and started dancing around randomly. It was no longer a waltz.

nSurprisingly, the grilled skewers’ owner was dancing too, and people were laughing at his silly dance with tears in their eyes while holding their bellies.

n“Come get up and let’s dance together! Paul, you too!”

nThe members of the Dungeon Knights were all mingled together, but only Paul, who was the most timid, seemed to be hiding in a corner.

nAt Evan’s call, Shine snuck up on Paul, who was still desperately trying to hide.

nHe then smiled and lifted Paul up. Paul felt embarrassed and tapped on his arms. They looked very cute.

n“Shi…Shine brother! I’m shy so I can’t dance!”

n“Well, you are going to now!”

nShine lifted Paul and moved towards the stage, signaling Raihan. Raihan winked at him and shouted as loudly as he could.

n“Master Evan, there is a lady who wishes to dance with you!”

nAfter listening to Raihan’s words, Evan realized that Belois had been all alone all this time.

nEven in the mansion, she never made contact with men other than himself, Shine, and Raihan. She must have hated other men’s cheers throughout the party too.

n‘She isn’t angry enough to kill me just because I hadn’t given her attention, right?’

nAs Evan had been dealing with the rising death signs here and there all evening, he had forgotten about Belois completely, who was one of the only death signs that he had been successful enough to change for his progress!

nEvan hurriedly went over, knelt down in front of her on one knee, and carefully reached out one of his hands.

n“Miss Belois, would you give me the honor to dance with you tonight?”

nBelois took a deep breath, facing Evan’s fascinating purple eyes.

nThe moonlight shining through the window felt like it was shining only on Belois and Evan. Her heart was racing in her chest.

n“How can I even dare to refuse Master?”

n“Today, let’s forget about such petty formalities. So what is your answer?”

n“Yes, I will.” The spellbinding light from the moon enlightened their figures.

nBelois held Evan’s hand.

n“Yes, I would. Gladly…”

n“It is an honor.”

nBelois heart thumped as if it was about to burst, and soon she forgot about that too. Evan was holding her hand and leading her towards the stage. The whole world had lit up around her.

n“Young Master is like… A prince. it’s as if he is shining like a pearl.”

n“For you, I’m the true Prince among all princes in the whole world.”

n

n

nEvan had become the most famous extra this world by far. He didn’t know how his future was going to be. Nevertheless, Evan laughed at his own words and pulled Belois a little closer to him.

n“Would you like to dance on a slow song, Miss Belois?”

n“But I don’t even know how to dance, Master.”

n“Let me teach you then. It’s a dance where the two of us dance slowly, our bodies in sync to a slow melody.”

n“As you say so, Prince Evan.”

nEvan was surprised and wondered whether he had heard correctly but then quickly laughed. Belois grabbed his hands, blushing deeply.

nThey started dancing. Their movements were harmonized with the melody.

nOne, two, three.

nOne, two, three.

nThe moon and clouds seemed to dance together with them to the cheerful waltz beat. That wonderful night in March was one of its kind that no one would ever forget.

n
