Chapter 13 - System?

n

n

nAt the bottom of the Cursed Abyss,

nAfter ten or so hours, Ajax finally opened his eyes slowly. His body was so weak that he was unable to move. His entire body was covered in blood. Not only that, but he felt terrible pain when he tried moving his body.

nNot knowing what to do, Ajax remained motionless.

n

"What a miracle, my body is still intact even after such a fall,

" Ajax sighed at his condition.

n'Ding,

nDue to the host's severe condition, initiating the trial in advance

", Amidst his sighing, he heard a cold voice in his head.

n

"Who?

" Ajax checked his surroundings with his eyes but did not find anyone.

n'Ding,

nChecking the host's stats

nName:- Ajax

nRace:- human

nBody force:- 1600 jin

nThe essence of nature:-1000 units

nSoon a holographic screen appeared in front of him displaying his name, race, body force, and essence of nature.

nSuppressing his shock, he wondered about the 1000 units and focused on the essence of nature section to know more about them.

n'(fire-100, water- 100,air-100, earth-100, life-200, death-400)'.

nSoon the essence of the nature of various elements was shown separately on the holographic screen. Adding all of them sums up to1000 units.

nAjax assumed units as some measure for the essence of nature.

n

"Fire, water, air, and earth are equal, but why are life and death energies are higher than others?

"

nAfter thinking for a few seconds, he assumed,

"maybe meridian cleansing fruit which I ate four years ago was the reason for the increase in life energy, but I can't find why the death energy is exceedingly high.

n'Ding,

nDue to high death energy in the host's body, the trial is related to the same attribute.'

nWith that, the scenery before him began to blur and changed into a vast desert.

n'Ding,

nHealing all wounds on the host's body as per the trial rules', he heard the cold voice in his head.

n

"My wounds are recovering...

", his wounds were healing at an incredible speed.

nWithin a few seconds, he was fully healed, and his body full of energy.

nOnly then, he caught the full extent of his surroundings. It is a vast desert that looked devoid of life and full of death energy, which made his hair stand.

nBut the strange thing was that the death energy around him was not corroding his body anymore.

nBefore he could understand what was happening around him entirely, he heard the usual cold voice,

n'Ding,

nThe host must finish three tasks in 12 hours to complete the trial. Otherwise, it is considered a failure.'

n'Ding,

nFailure results in instant death, so please complete the task within the specific time', Ajax heard one sound after another in his head.

n

"You must be joking right now, what do you mean by instant death,

" Ajax asked in a silly tone.

n'Ding,

nTask 1:-Collect 100 death energy spirit stones.

nTask 2:-Save three elemental spirits.

nTask 3:- Kill the Undead Elite Soldier.'

nThe same previous holographic screen appeared in front of him, but instead of stats, now it displayed the tasks of the trial.

n

"Where can I find so many spirit stones that contain death energy.

"

n

"Where are the Elemental Spirits.

"

n

"From whom should I save them.

"

n

"Who is that undead elite soldier, and how should I kill him.

"

n

"At least give me some weapons.

"

n

"You cold-blooded system, say something,

"

nAjax asked a series of questions that came to his mind, but he did not hear the usual cold voice in his head.

nHe named the voice in his head as the 'System.' That was why he called it a cold-blooded system as he shouted out his questions.

nAjax shouted crazily for some time then calmed himself.

n'Now is not the time for shouting. I think I should devise a plan to complete the tasks; otherwise, I will die for sure', with that he sat down cross-legged and began devising his plan.

nAt first, Ajax thought this was all a dream, but when he pinched himself, he felt pain, so he assumed it was not a dream, and instead, it was real.

n'I think it's easier to collect spirit stones, but 100 is a difficult number, but when compared to Task 2 and Task 3, Task 1 is relatively easy', after pondering for some time, he headed in the direction from which he sensed a greater concentration of the death energy.

n
