Chapter 131 - Ancient Paintings

Kai Min could finally understand why the other warriors had not attempted to climb the herb mountain from different sides. Because the other sides were impossible to climb through. With the scary magical beasts like flower striped sand boas, it was difficult to proceed further in this path.

Kai Min didn't get anytime to worry about other things as another two flower striped sand boas lunged towards her from a nearby tree. Zhan Chen's gaze became cold instantly. A suffocating aura started to spread around with his body as it's centre.

It was first time for Zhan Chen to release his soul aura in this life. The sand boas who were already in the air froze for a moment. The scene was like a pebble crashing on the stone floor, their little bodies crashed on the hard ground.

Sweat drops started to appear on Kai Min's head as she felt a suffocating pressure coming from Zhan Chen.

She was not the target of Zhan Chen's soul aura but the aura of Zhan Chen's soul was so overwhelming that it could affect every living person within a certain boundary. Zhan Chen could see the sweating forehead of Kai Min. He turned his body and pulled Kai Min into his embrace.

Then with a beauty in his hand, he climbed the herb mountain of Cleansing Incense ancient sect leisurely. The Cleansing Insense ancient sect was impressive as it placed a nest of flower striped sand boas at the western side of the mountain but Zhan Chen was like a mighty king. He easily climbed the mountain while the flower striped sand boas thrembled in the places of their hiding.

It took sometime for Kai Min to adjust to the soul aura of Zhan Chen. She looked at the handsome face of Zhan Chen which was looking more heroic to her. She didn't know how Zhan Chen could release such an aura but instead of curiosity, a feeling of happiness surged in her heart.

According to Kai Min's thoughts, this aura was just another mysterious ability that Zhan Chen possessed. She didn't ask Zhan Chen anything as she let Zhan Chen held her waist.

While Kai Min was travelling with Zhan Chen, other girls also had their own chance encounters. Li Shu and Li Yan met two Core condensation realm experts of Shen clan and they offered both of the girls to travel with them. The two girls were happy to comply as it was comparatively safer to travel with two level four experts. They were currently inside a large hall where strange paintings were all over the places.

Two Shen clan experts were still observing the different paintings but it was not the case for Li Yan. There was no doubt in the talent of Li Yan as she was renowned for her talent in the capital of Clear sky province. She was currently observing a painting where a cultivator was wielding a plain looking sword.

After Li Yan started to look at the painting, her body stay rooted to the ground. Her eyes became blank as if her soul had escaped from her body. Other experts who had also arrived at the hall, started to become curious about Li Yan's condition. Shen Clan experts also felt alarmed but after approaching the vicinity of the painting, they felt an invisible barrier around Li Yan and the painting. They let other experts approach Li Yan as there were nothing others could do to disturb Li Yan.

Li Shu also searched for her opportunity but she felt disappointed. There were a large number of painting but nothing could attract her mind. As a Li family descendant, she had some understanding towards such paintings. These kind of paintings contained martial techniques. One could only comprehend them if they had affinity with such techniques.

There were total ninty nine such paintings across the long hall. Every painting had the figure of an ancient cultivator. Li Shu walked around most of the paintings. Some figures were holding swords, some were holding spears and some of the ancient cultivators stood barehanded. Li Shu couldn't feel any resonance from most of the painting. She could only look at Li Yan who had already started to comprehend a painting.

A frustration rose in her heart as she thought to give up and wait patiently for her cousin sister to complete her comprehension. Li Shu looked around and saw few other warriors also managed to resonate with different paintings. Li Shu clenched her fist and decided to check every painting in the long hall. After all, she couldn't give up without trying once! The stubborn nature of Li Shu woke up after she saw few other warriors started to comprehend the ancient paintings.

Li Shu moved through entire hall but couldn't find any painting to her liking. There were only few paintings left and Li Shu felt helpless. With a downcast look she walked ahead. The hall was incomparably large. So, when Li Shu reached the corner of the hall, Li Yan was already out her sight. A painting caught the eyes of Li Shu as her eyes lit up in interest. All the gloominess in her heart disappeared as a silver of hope flickered in her eyes.

The Shen clan warriors were dumbfounded. According to them, no matter how talented the cultivators of Shredded mountain province was, they couldn't match with the cultivators of Central land.

But all of their arrogant thoughts disappeared as reality said otherwise. First, they witnessed the prowcess of Zhan Chen. Now, two little girls started to comprehend the ancient paintings while they couldn't connect with even one of the painting. Li Yan was fine but what make them ashamed was the fact that even Li Shu had find a painting of her own. They could only smile at eachother helplessly.

Li Yan and Li Shu found their opportunity without any hassle but it was not the case for other girls. Shen Ruyan was currently fighting with a middle-aged man as both of them were using martial techniques to counter eachother.

Liu Nanxi was standing in a distance but she was not interfering with the battle between Shen Ruyan and the middle-aged man. Her eyes were alert as she was keeping an eye on the surrounding.

"Miss, don't push things far. My uncle is nearby. It wouldn't be nice if things escalate

", the middle-aged man spoke while parrying a sword attack of Shen Ruyan.

"It is not me who started the battle. Since, you dare to start it then you most pay

", Shen Ruyan spoke as she waved her sword towards the middle aged man.
