Chapter 222 - Drawing Her In

Shane expected Talia to be astonished but not that she would call him ill.

It was obvious that his question was weird and frowned upon...but was that enough to think that he was ill?

Shaking his head, Shane thought that it might be better to explain everything clearly.

It was just that he didn't know what to start with.

If he wanted to obtain something and follow his plan, Shane would have to expose the small world within him either way.

Furthermore, he never planned to have any secrets like that in the first place.

That meant as long as others asked him, Shane would either remain honest, not answer at all or in the worst case, leave out a few details as he did with the Elus race.

He had kept his world seed a secret from the Elus race, calling it a peculiar condition and an anomaly that had been partly true.

Shane was not a saint who hated to lie but in some cases, he found it unnecessary to divulge everything.

Sometimes it was even counterproductive.

Right now, he had a huge opportunity in front of him which he received due to the Shirai academy favoring students with Platinum and rare Gold graded occupations.

As long as he didn't do anything wrong right now, he might be able to lure Talia and her friends into his world.

When he thought about the occupations she and her friends had, Shane couldn't help but think of creating an artisan hall, his own group of people, or a whole faction.

With the world within him, he could even create his own empire, if he felt like doing so.

Talia stared at Shane as he explained to her everything about the Hidden Paradise, still wondering if he was ill or if he had hit his head somewhere.

It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for both of them and Shane began to wonder if he should pay a visit to all the academies in order to find hidden geniuses like Talia and her friends.

Instead of relying on strength, they used knowledge and other traits in order to create refined plans.

Based on what Talia had told him, they planned to create a large mana plant farm.

However, what Shane could tell was that they also had the capabilities to construct a strong shelter with all kinds of weapons and reinforced building complexes.

In the end, Shane was fully aware that Talia and her seven friends had divided themselves into two groups.

One group would focus on creating a huge farm once Igra awoke its mana heart, which might still take a few years.

Searching for a trustworthy trading partner was not easy and even Shane, who had more information than Talia and her friends, thought that it might take a while before Igra's mana awakening would occur.

That was if humanity's stockpiled items were unsuitable for the Elus race with whom they would most likely form a trading agreement.

Meanwhile, the second group of their small friend circle was perfect to create a shelter. There was one soon-to-be architect, one weapon-craftsmen, and one builder-craftsmen. Adding Talia's management occupation, they made a perfect team.

This and the fact that the group's occupations were on average between the Gold and Platinum quality were the main reasons to reveal everything about the world within him.

Others might be reluctant to even speak to Talia and her friends in the misconception that their occupations were worthless, even though their quality was high, however, Shane, the higher-ups and the academies were aware of their true value.

At least, Shane estimated that most of the academies were aware of the non-combatant occupations' worth. Though it was a pity that they didn't do anything against the bullies.

That was mostly because it was seen as a free lecture to show the weak that only the strong and the mighty prevailed. It was a crude way to pass on the message in Shane's opinion, but it was definitely showing its effect.

As he continued to explain every single detail of the world within him to a flustered Talia, he saw her face turning pale with each passing second.

This didn't surprise Shane at all, but when he saw the students walking by staring at him and Talia, Shane couldn't help but frown.

'Will there be a new rumor about me?' He asked himself while shaking his head. Though it was more important to explain everything to Talia than mulling over the baseless rumors.

Talia said that she was the heart of her group, which meant that she would be able to convince her friends if they were to hesitate about something.

When Shane finished explaining everything about the Hidden Paradise and his plan to create a huge Nightshade flower field, which he wanted to duplicate by dividing its roots, Talia couldn't help but look at him with her ashen face.

"I….I can't tell whether you are a genius or the most insane person I've ever met…

"

Scratching the back of his head, Shane couldn't help but think so too

"Maybe….both?

"

Taking out one of the Trash quality Nightshade flower roots he had stored within his spatial ring, he handed it to Talia as he said

"Do you want to visit my world? I might come across as eager and restless, but if you know every little detail it might be easier to listen to the offer I want to present to all of you!

"

Talia's mind was rattling at the information overload and though it seemed to work at twice its usual capacity, trying to digest all the information Shane told her was a daunting task.

She reached for the Nightshade flower root and held it into her hand, eyeing it for a moment before looking at Shane.

She didn't even know the young, handsome youth, who was talking about all kinds of weird things well, however, somehow she thought that he was sincere.

Not only had he helped her friends but he was equally interested in their occupations which was something that had happened for the second time in their life.

The first time their occupations were acknowledged was when the Shirai academy had accepted their application which they had sent out only because their parents had forced them.

It shocked them greatly when they had been accepted by the Shirai academy, only to be bullied by other students who chose combat-oriented occupations and were better at fighting than them.

In the end, they were easy targets for other students to release their accumulated stress and anger after getting defeated by even stronger students.

Their pride was hurt and the only students with a high cultivation foundation but weak combat prowess were Talia and her friends.

Though Shane's cultivation stage was lower than theirs, he was strong and had even helped them by standing up for them thereby reducing the risk of receiving more damages, or even permanent injuries.

As such, Talia decided to trust Shane for the time being as she and her friends owed him a favor either way.

When Talia finally agreed to his request of entering his world, a delightful smile broke on his face. He asked her to hold the Nightshade flower root for a moment as he opened the connection between the world within him and the outside world.

Holding Talia's arm he suddenly drew her towards him as a miniature-sized portal manifested.

There was no need to manifest a minimized portal for anyone to enter or leave the world within him because his body itself was a portal once he opened the connection between his world and the outside.

However, to show Talia everything in a less complex manner, he manifested a portal in front of him.

A moment after he drew her inside him, she vanished and Shane sat back down on the bench

"Talia, are you fine? Please don't be astonished about the Horned Darkness Snake inside the world, he won't harm you!

"
