Chapter 414: Let's work together!

“We may have found the perfect planet to inhabit!!”

When Shane heard this first, he was a little bit astonished and squinted his eyes before asking.

“You’ve found a planet to build a civilization on, one that is also connected to the dimension portals? Why wouldn’t other races inhabit this planet then?”

This question was more than valid because mankind had yet to be able to manufacture proper spaceships as they lacked the necessary technology to make it happen.

There were millions of races that were looking for more planets to expand to, and Aunt Kia wanted to tell him that there was an uninhabited planet with enough space for mankind to live on.

“Well, to be honest, it’s much smaller than Igra, and not even worth a mention to the vast majority of races because they’re looking for large planets to migrate a large part of their population too!

We don’t need a large planet for now, and it’s only a necessity to survive the Dark Ice elves’ wrath…”

Shane understood what else his aunt wanted to say but didn’t mention it out loud.

“And with the massive bulk of books and materials all of you have already purchased, you want to start exploring other planets once the necessary knowledge has been imprinted into our mind?”

In his opinion, his assumption sounded more like the probable course his family would take.

Shane loved all of them, but they were crafty with Aunt Kia being the one who had the most ingenious mind.

Thus, he barely smiled before his entire body shook as a loud thump resounded in his body.

Attention to the host! The planetary core of the soul bound world(Hidden Paradise) will undergo drastic changes in the next |72 hours| please bear with the pain!

This notification was something he hadn’t expected, and the center of his chest began to burn, exactly in the core of his mana pool where the minimized version of the Hidden Paradise was located.

Sweat formed on his forehead and he could barely breathe which was noticed by everyone.

Aunt Loris was about to approach him but Shane raised his hand, clutching at his chest with the other. Gasping for air he managed to say,

“The awakening…which I bought for my soul bound world is currently…merging with its planetary core, changing it slowly! There is nothing wrong with me…don’t worry!”

Gritting his teeth, Shane tried to suppress the uncomfortable heat spreading through his body, while telling everyone inside the Hidden Paradise to leave it for the next three days.

There were more than enough workshops all around the Neptua Ladra region, let alone training grounds for them to continue with their training and work.

As such, he opened several portals from the Hidden Paradise, allowing everyone to leave freely without the need to use the Space door.

However, just when the faction members left the soul bound world, they spotted John Stella and the remaining 11 uniters which caused their jaws to drop to the ground.

It was only after some time that they recalled that Shane had told them that he was John Stella’s son.

In Shane’s speech, he had brushed over the fact in less than three seconds, which was not much if one had listened to the entire speech, but this one sentence was extremely heavy for most to digest.

Nevertheless, the faction members noticed that Shane and his family had things to speak about as John Stella addressed them,

“I bought the MDS Space door with around 1000 normal space doors! We’ve made contact with around 80 basic races which are unlikely to be attacked by the Dark Ice elves, and most of them are willing to make a business relationship with us, as long as they’re secretive.”

Shane just nodded his head as he saw that Talia, who he had messaged earlier about the arrival of certain guests, rushed up to them.

She noticed Shane’s weird condition and that he had to brace himself to not collapse on the ground which caused her to worry.

However, seeing that his family was not doing anything, she couldn’t help him either.

As such, she looked at Shane, with a thick file in her hands.

“Please give this file to Aunt Kia…I mean Kia Mel.”

After he said this with a faint smile on his lips, Shane noticed that he had forgotten to tell Cosmo and Umbra to leave the Hidden Paradise too.

Taking a few steps outside the building, he manifested a portal allowing his two tamed beasts to emerge from the Hidden Paradise.

He allowed them to move freely after Umbra had laid down the egg of the unhatched lesser forest spirit in front of him.

Umbra had carried it outside the Hidden Paradise by taking it into his mouth, which caused the final result to turn into a slobbery green egg that was enveloped in thick vines.

Taking out a towel, he wiped the lesser forest spirit’s egg before he picked it up, holding it close to him.

Uncle Max was looking at the egg with squinted eyes but before he could even say something Shane answered the question on everybody’s mind,

“This is the egg of a lesser forest spirit and my third tamed beast! It should hatch soon.”

While everyone just nodded their heads, Max’s eyes bulged and he had almost screamed out in shock.

‘Forest spirit?!?’

Max had already been shocked about Shane’s first two tamed beasts, but it looked like his nephew had to exceed his expectations every single time!

Shaking his head, Max stayed quiet because they had other things to pay attention to.

Nevertheless, he couldn’t help but feel jealous of the young man, who was evidently more talented than every single one of them.

Shane was still not sure what exactly his father, aunts, and uncles were doing here, and he could no longer bother to show his father an attitude because it was simply childish.

Right now, everyone’s life was on the line, and throwing a tantrum like a ten-year-old because his father had restrained him in the past was useless.

As such, he straightforwardly asked,

“I doubt that the MDS Space door and the remaining 1000 space doors, or even the fact that we have been able to make a few secret business agreements with other races are the reason for the collective arrival of all 12 uniters, right?”

Some may not like Shane’s straightforwardness, but this was something he had learned from his aunts and uncles who were exactly the same.

Instead of beating around the bush, they were rather direct which had been frowned at by the rest of the government before.

Thus, Uncle Lars stepped forward as he said,

“You must have heard about the chaotic situation in the government, our resignation, or ‘having been thrown out’ which is how the big clans call it, and the citizens’ stance, right?

Either way, we have resigned from all our positions because it was simply useless to continue trying to change things if nobody was going to listen or believe.

As such, we want to help those that accept our help! For the last few days we’ve been in talks with the Artisans of the government-founded Artisan hall, and it looks like the reputation of the Astral Starlight faction is greater than what I, or we could have imagined.

To put it simply, there are many people that want to work together with you, and try to help each other as you’re already doing it in your small circle!”

Uncle Lars stopped for a short moment to take a deep breath, only to see that Shane stared at him impassively.

“You needn’t say more. Right now, everyone has the chance to join the Astral Artisans or Starlight guild, and it is only that my requirements have changed.

I only need those who trust me and are loyal to only me! The others who just want to cling to me because they fear death should just stay away.

You can tell everyone that the applications are still open and that they should read through the contract I set up carefully.

I trust everyone in my faction, and the same applies for the other way round, and it is only because of this that we have been able to get such a reputation!”

Shane was becoming more and more agitated, which forced Aunt Gabi to intervene. She had been quiet since her arrival, and only said something to calm everyone down!

“I think what Lars wanted to say is that we want to work together with you to save everyone who wants to be saved!

You don’t have to accept anyone, just work together with us! Let’s save mankind!”
