Chapter 460: Still possible?
Knowing that his plan was working perfectly fine, Shane smiled brightly as his mind returned to the secret realm once again.
Focusing on the devouring process, he further increased the devouring speed, supplying his soul world core with even more energy.
With the increased speed, the silver core was having more and more problems to further retaliate against being devoured.
Its strength was diminishing while that of Shane’s soul world was increasing, giving Shane the big advantage.
Hours passed and the silver soul world core had reduced in size, while the secret realm was slowly crumbling.
The outer areas had already been devoured and Shane realised that the outer layers in both the secret realm and the silver core were the first to be devoured.
This process was slowly speeding up, the bigger the strength gap between the two soul world cores became.
In the end, it was only when the silver core was unable to cope with the strength attained by Shane’s soul world core that it succumbed to its fate.
When the silver core was left with no energy to be maintained due to the severed connection with the runes all around the place, Shane received the chance to give his own soul core a burst of energy, initiating the final strike on the silver core.
However, at the same time, Shane knew that he had to react right now!
The moment the silver core succumbed to its fate, he was able to move it from its previous location.
It was not levitating anymore and neither locked in the small cavern room.
As such, Shane could only grasp the silver core before he rushed out of the secret realm.
After walking out of the secret realm, Shane’s eyes widened as he saw the space door he had placed near the empty void.
With long strides he reached the space door, opening it hastily before he jumped through it without any hesitation.
Only a moment later, he emerged on Igra, landing or rather crashing on the ground with his belly touching the wet soil.
Yet, instead of jumping up, Shane could only sigh in relief as he turned to lie on his back.
He was still holding the silver soul world core that had shrunk to the size smaller than a ping pong ball.
Thus lifting it, he couldn’t help but smile as it continued to grow smaller.
The last spurt was about to finish, and it was only a matter of seconds before he had fully devoured the silver core.
Taking a quick glance into his soul world, Shane noticed that the Hidden Paradise’s size had increased to more than 600 kilometers in diameters.
However, that was not everything because one of the most important things that had changed was the fact that the ancient magi trees hadn’t been devoured but simply transported.
Shane was still not sure how exactly this had happened, but he was glad either way.
There was no need for logic to work for him, and even if there was some sort of logic behind it, Shane had yet to procure it.
The information he had received from the Creator was devastating and more than enough to shock every race that had been using the Primordial dimensions and systems since the beginning.
Nevertheless, Shane had to understand the transmitted information first, and there was too much he couldn’t really grasp yet.
Other than mana, there seemed to be other cultivation energies, but that was something entirely useless for Shane to know right now.
Sometimes, having additional knowledge was beneficial, but at the same time, it could make certain more important aspects extremely difficult to grasp.
As such, Shane decided to use the knowledge he had received once it was necessary to apply it.
Maybe this would never happen, or the need would arise the moment they colonized the new planet, but that could wait for now!
After the silver core had been completely devoured the Hidden Paradise stopped shaking, and Shane retracted the soul threads, returning them to the soul world core.
While doing so, Shane took a look at his soulbonds, which made him smile lightly as he hoped that Umbra would soon finish his quality enhancement.
He was eager to find out what kind of existence his soulbond could evolve to in the future, and Umbra’s quality enhancement shouldn’t take as long as the evolution of Cosmo or Viridy either.
Shane was not even sure how long the evolution would take, but considering that Umbra’s first evolution took several months, Cosmo and Viridy might even take half a year!
This was not something he was looking forward to because he expected to need their strength after they colonised a new planet, but there was nothing Shane could do about it.
As such, rather than complaining, Shane thought that a good evolution needed enough time.
Thus, he focused on Umbra, and his quality enhancements rather than something else.
Once he made up his mind, Shane got up from the ground, only to notice that he was eyed by the family members of the Astral Starlight faction.
They knew his face and wanted to help Shane.
However, upon noticing the serious aura around him, they had refrained themselves from intercepting Shane in any way.
Shane meanwhile didn’t realise that he was releasing a serious aura or anything like that, instead, he was just thinking of the pending tasks.
He might not be able to use the system anymore, and possibly not even a dimension portal, but that was not important.
‘I hope Talia received the supreme tickets I sent her…’
By giving up on his system access, Shane’s supreme tickets would be destroyed too.
Because of that, he had transferred his supreme tickets to Talia, and she could only use them if she wouldn’t purchase things like a new ability or new body parts for herself.
The goods she purchased with his supreme tickets were restricted by the system, allowing her to only purchase universal goods that could be used by everyone irrespective of the purchaser.
One of such things was the world tree seedling or magi tree seedlings that were purchased with the supreme tickets. They were beneficial for everyone, even those that didn’t have any supreme tickets, let alone the system.
It was fortunate for Shane that the ticket transfer function existed otherwise he would have accidentally severed his connection to the system without using the supreme tickets, and he had more than 100 at that!!
Wasting precious resources was something Shane didn’t like to do which was even more so if one was talking about having 100 more or fewer magi tree seedlings!
As such, Shane was glad about the system function, only to prick his ears when he heard something worrisome.
Miriam and the Conquerors seemed to have returned from their trip of gaining more knowledge crystals that were not as important as the one Shane had procured, making their missions much easier to solve.
However, that was not the important thing he heard because it was Miriam’s voice that resounded through the area he was in.
“Conquerors! We received the information that a beast at the Myst stage was able to enter the deep mountain-river dimension where the Valkyries and hundreds of humans were solving a large-scale system mission!
It will be dangerous, but we cannot let our comrades die! We are the strongest combatants and have to protect those weaker than us!!”
After Shane heard this, the outcry of more than a hundred Conquerors immediately echoed through the air as he saw them charging towards the Dimension portal.
‘A what!? A Myst stage beast in a basic dimension…how is that even possible? What is wrong with the Primordial dimensions!?’
