Chapter 92 - Praise&Lecture

nThere were two sources of the messages received by Shane.

nOne was his family's group chat, where even his father was invited to when Shane hadn't been around. While the other source was the Elus-merchant from whom he received notifications telling him that the crystal packaged had been received.

nThe notifications about the elemental crystal packages were useless to him. He could also look at his finances in order to estimate his earnings. As such, Shane was more interested in the group chat.

nHe hoped that Uncle Lars would share some information about the RadiantRing beast tide, once he received the report.

nAdditionally, it was likely that Uncle Lars would start to brag about Aisha because he had raised her after her parents' death. Lars thought of himself as her real father, even if he wasn't.

nUnsurprisingly, the chat group was filled with many questions about his well-being causing him to smile, as he slowly scrolled through the chat so as to miss nothing.

nThe messages caused a rollercoaster of emotion within Shane, as good and bad messages mainly written by Lars flooded him one after another.

nIn the end, more than 5,000 soldiers and citizens died within the shelter, which is a low figure than our initial assumption and by a large margin at that.>

n

nEven if the Wolf den is destroyed, the main culprit is still alive while the main force is left with less than 10% of their soldiers. They were surrounded by thunder wolves, high-stage scaled lizards, and crystal feathered eagles with high-grade evolutions.

nIf my intel is not completely wrong, the main force is left with roughly 800 soldiers, while more than half of them are either traumatized or seriously injured.>

n

n<..>

n<.>

nEven if Shane wanted to read everything, digesting the information was much worse than he had initially expected. He couldn't help but feel a heavy weight falling on his shoulders, as he saw a particular message within the group chat.

nJohn Stella

nSeeing this message, Shane felt conflicted not knowing what exactly to think, when he saw Uncle Lars reply below the message.

n

nIf that wasn't enough, he left the shelter once again while knowing that a highly intelligent beast roamed around the shelter.

nShane!! Do you not care about your life?>

n'Is he trying to lecture me?' Shane thought while reading the message that sounded somewhat childish..'Is he more than 150 years old or am I?' he began to wonder as he replied in an annoyed tone.

n

nLecture them instead of me if you want to vent your anger somewhere…

nFurthermore, I want to live but that doesn't imply that I can stay within the shelter like a pampered youth while others throw cultivation resources at me. What is even the use of that?!!>

nHis temper was nothing someone should provoke and his family was very well acquaintanced with such a character, because of their friend, John Stella.

nAfter venting his anger, Shane dropped his keyboard warrior mode and decided to calmly answer his other Uncle's and Aunt's messages within the group-chat, by sparsely telling them that he was completely fine.

nHis father didn't ask about his health or what he was up to, while his two words seemed to rattle him more than he had expected.

n'What is wrong with me?' he asked himself, as he felt extremely uncomfortable.

n'Why can't I handle my dad?' was another thought churning in his mind, before he closed the system messenger in order to look at his finances.

nHe couldn't waste too much time messaging as earning more gold coins was much more important. With the unknown amount of time that he could spend within the cave, time seemed to run out even faster!

nTaking a good look at his finances Shane wasn't sure how to feel, but it was definitely pleasant.

nFinances: 955 gold coins 69 silver coins

nBy mining for 8 hours straight, he had obtained almost 956 gold coins which was an extremely pleasant sight. If he could maintain the same routine for a few days, his fortune would increase even more.

nSmiling brightly, Shane retrieved the contact details of the merchant he had already purchased the Mortal-(Extraordinary) nutrition solution from and wrote him a short message.

n

nSending the message almost made him feel like he had purchased something online as he did on earth, the only difference being the existence of magic, monsters, and the system.

nIn the end, he paid the price of 346 gold coins with 14 gold coins as extra. If he were to purchase the same goods within the system he would have to pay 346 gold coins with a 10% transfer fee which would end up with him having to pay 20 gold coins more.

nAs such, his current situation was quite favorable.

nTier-1 (Trash) nutrition solutions were barely 2 gold coins more expensive. Shane was eager to know how high their efficiency would be because he felt that his perfect body might demand lots of nutrition and a high mana supply.

nIn the end, nobody except him had to pay such a heavy price within the Mortal stage. He already despised the fact that he still had to reach a perfect apprentice and expert physique, which would increase his expenses even further.

nWith the 360 gold coins, he paid to increase his mana purity and finally complete a perfect mortal body. Most normal cultivators would already enter the Expert rank, as long as they possessed the required mana purifying manual.

nThinking about that, Shane searched through the system shop in order to look for better mana purifying, mana gathering, and body refining manual to see how much funds he had to gather in order to reach the peak of the apprentice stage.

n'Huh? Why is everything so...cheap?'
