nLin Tian was shocked. He stepped forward and grabbed Su Luo’s shoulders. He explained anxiously, “Luo Luo, Gu Zhan set me up on this to make you hate me. Have you forgotten?”
n
nSu Luo wanted to get away from his grip, but Lin Tian wouldn’t let her go. Gu Zhan stepped forward, pushed Lin Tian away and held Su Luo in his arms.
n
nGu Zhan looked at Lin Tian with distain. “Mr. Lin, please have some self-respect. Stop touching my wife.”
n
n“Luo Luo, don’t listen to him. You already knew what kind of person he is. He…”
n
nLin Tian still tried to defend himself and slander Gu Zhan, but Su Luo couldn’t take it anymore and interrupted him.
n
n“Enough!” Su Luo looked annoyed. “What kind of person Gu Zhan is; I know better than you. You’re the selfish and hypocritical one. I’ll live a good life with my husband. Stop harassing us!”
n
nSu Luo turned around and said to Gu Zhan gently, “Gu Zhan, let’s go.”
n
nSu Luo was in a good mood now. It felt so good to scolding the scumbag male lead at his face. It felt ten thousand times better than writing an essay in the comments section.
n
nGu Zhan nodded dotingly. He took Su Luo’s hand and they turned to leave.
n
nGu Bei glared at Lin Tian and followed his parents’ footsteps. Gu Xi turned around and gave him a grimface of disgust.
n
nLin Tian wanted to chase after them, but he was stopped by some bodyguards Gu Zhan hired.
n
nThe leading bodyguard said in a threatening tone, “Mr. Lin, please stop. Mr. Gu doesn’t like to be disturbed.”
n
nLin Tian knew that he was no match for them and gave up.
n
nHe angrily slammed his luggage on the ground. Looking at the backs of the family of four holding hands, he swore to himself, “Gu Zhan, let’s wait and see. Sooner or later, Su Luo is mine!”
n
nLin Tian had already lost his love once; he would not allow it to happen a second time, even if it was just a substitute.
n
nAfter they were far enough away from Lin Tian, Gu Zhan let go of Su Luo’s hand.
n
nSu Luo felt the warmth of his palm gone; she turned to look at him inquiringly. He looked gloomy and not in a good mood.
n
n“Gu Zhan, what’s wrong?”
n
nSu Luo asked carefully.
n
nShe had clearly done what he had wanted: to break up with Lin Tian. Why did he still seem unhappy?
n
nGu Zhan’s eyes were indifferent, and his tone was flat. “Nothing.”
n
nAfter saying that, he did not wait for Su Luo and walked straight to the parking lot.
n
nSu Luo could see that he was unhappy. She caught up with him in small steps and suggested, “It’s still early. Why don’t we take a walk with the kids first and then go home?”
n
nPerhaps spending sometime with their children would make him feel better.
n
n“Yes, I want to go to the play park!”
n
nGu Xi was excited when she heard that they were going for a walk.
n
nAt the time, they found themselves right in front of their car.
n
n“Let’s go straight home. I’m tired.”
n
nGu Zhan took out the car key from his pocket and pressed the unlock button.
n
nThe car lights was on and the door was unlocked.
n
nGu Zhan carried the children into the car and put on their seatbelts.
n
nGu Xi pouted and complained, “Daddy is such a killjoy.”
n
nGu Bei looked at Gu Zhan and asked, “Daddy, are you still mad with mommy?”
n
nGu Zhan forced a smile and rubbed Gu Bei’s soft hair. “No, Daddy is just tired. I’ll take you out to play next time.”
n
nGu Bei nodded obediently.
n
nGu Zhan closed the back door, went around to the passenger seat, and opened the door for Su Luo.
n
nAfter Su Luo sat down, Gu Zhan helped her put on her seatbelt.
n
nWhen Gu Zhan approached, the scent of his perfume filled Su Luo’s nostrils.
n
nShe looked at him closely and found there were dark circles under his eyes. He looked exhausted indeed.
n
n“Gu Zhan, are you really okay?”
n
nSu Luo was concerned and asked him again.
n
nGu Zhan’s voice was flat and emotionless. “I’m fine.”
n
nThen he turned back and started the car.
n
nHe stepped on the accelerator, and the car left the parking lot with a roar.
n
nAlthough Su Luo wasn’t the original owner of this body, she knew that Gu Zhan was angry and sulking. Both the owner’s memory and her experience from reading the novel told her that.
n
