Chapter 1562: Clash with Sivan II

n

n

n

nSivan looked at Sam hatefully and tried it again. But Harbinger is indeed resisting and throwing the wind blades off.

n

"Don't you get it? It cannot harm the soul that it was connected to, you idiot. The spirit that was generated in that board is way too smart. It is carrying you on pretty well even though you don't know how to ride that board properly isn't it?

nYou got all that knowledge from my soul. Put it to some use dumbass.

"

n

"Don't look down on me. You bastard.

"

nSivan said as he leaped down from the harbinger. He stored the board away and took out the executioner sword.

nHe started swinging it at Sam. Sam blocked the sword with the reaper sword.

nHe only has one proper leg and one peg leg. As for arms, he only had one, but he still managed to keep up with Sivan who is obviously not very skilled at using the sword like Sam.

nAs they clashed and Sam played along, Sivan noticed that something is wrong with the sword.

n

"They also have spirits. Don't tell you don't know that.

"

nSam said sarcastically. Even though weapon spirits are much more simple and they are not as smart as the one in harbinger and the feather coat, they still offer some resistance when they are attacking the soul they are linked to.

nCurrently, weapons accepted Sivan's soul that merged with Sam's dormant soul. But there is a connection with Sam's soul too. So, they are extremely resistant to landing lethal blows on Sam.

nIn fact, Sam already noticed this when he clashed with Sivan last time. That is how he managed to take back reaper's sword pretty easily.

nIt was not working according to Sivan's wishes and Sam's superior skills easily allowed him to take the sword away.

nNow as both swords are clashing again, they could both feel the resistance. But Sam is not worried about it. Even if the reaper sword is not really allowing him to kill and attack Sivan lethally, he can still play it around.

nSivan who got pissed off by this though immediately changed weapons. He took out the shadow sword.

nSam blocked the slash as he saw Sivan activate partial shadow fusion.

n

"How are you doing?

" Sam asked with a smile.

nThe shadow sword suddenly started glowing and it threw Sivan off to the back. He felt like his arms are being cut apart by something.

nThis even canceled his partial shadow fusion and stunned him on the spot.

n

"You are not really worthy to use shadow sword against me. Don't even try it.

"

nSam said casually before taking a step back. He stored the reaper sword away and said.

n

"let's settle this normally. There is no use in keeping those weapons.

"

nSivan looked at him hatefully, but still stored his weapon away before making a move.

nHis body turned to a glowing blue and then into slight purple. He is using water elemental fusion along with the poison.

n

"Good thinking. You didn't go for direct firepower. That is unexpected. It seems like you have some brain cells after all.

"

nSam said calmly as stood still and waited for Sivan to attack.

nSivan extended his arms and two large water spears that are colored with purple poison were shot out of them.

nSam just stood there and let the water spears come at him. An energy shield appeared in front of him at the last moment and diverted the water spears.

nBut before they could be deflected completely, the spears collapsed completely and splashed all over the shield.

nSam didn't react at first, but even after two seconds, the water didn't go away. Then only he noticed that the water is completely encompassing the energy shield because of Sivan's control and trying to bypass it.

nSam didn't let it happen though. The energy barrier expanded all over and covered him like a sphere. The water tried to enter but wasn't able to.

nSivan lunged forward and threw a punch with void style.

nThe punch filled with water elemental energy spread across the barrier and exploded.

n*BOOM*

nThe barrier cracked and broke open, but Sam already jumped backward and escaped the impact. Not just that, he directly threw an energy bullet at Sivan who reacted quick enough to intercept it with a large water sphere.

nThe water splashed and rained down. Sam had to cover himself with the energy barrier again to avoid the poison seeping into his body.

nSivan took this chance to throw a water sphere at Sam, which was blocked again.

nThe battle continued. Sivan focused on the poison too much and wanted to make Sam suffer with it, but Sam didn't bother too much with the attacking and focused on blocking most of the time.

nAnd whenever he got the chance he threw energy bullets which were intercepted by the water sphere.

nWhile the battle is going on like this, the whole area around them started changing. The water that contained potent hydra poison destroyed the vegetation around them and the soil started corroding because of it.

nThe other people are avoiding the place like a plague.

nThey looked at the two main characters of this war.

nEven though it is a war between the Gaja clan and the Mari clan, it is also a war between Sivan and Sam. They are also part of the trigger that this war is happening.

nSivan threw a bunch of water spears at Sam and went straight after them to land a punch on Sam's barrier.

nThe spears were blocked and Sam was ready to block the punch as well, but before he could do that, he was caught off guard by the earth under his feet.

nSivan's body turned from the purple water to that earth element.

nThe soil under him turned into quicksand and swallowed his foot along with the peg leg.

nSam was surprised by this, but he was also impressed.

nThis is actually his own move. He used it a lot of times in close combat and to think he fell victim to it is rather amusing.

nBut he didn't worry. He just stood still and blocked Sivan's punch before shooting an energy bullet at a close range.

nSivan dodged it and let it go past him before making his move. He grabbed Sam's hand and pulled him closer to hold him in a chokehold.

nSam resisted of course, but he felt that something else is happening under his feet. He suddenly sensed something at his feet and before he could realize it, a vine coiled out and wrapped around his normal leg and the peg leg.

nThorns popped up and dug into Sam's leg.

nHe instantly reacted and used an energy beam attack from his mouth at Sivan who stepped back immediately.

nThen he used ripple energy to disturb the quicksand effect before kicking himself out of it. He rolled back to the ground and used his observation ability to check his own leg.

nWhen he realized that there is no poison he sighed in relief and then looked at Sivan in disappointment.

nSivan couldn't even stand that disappointing look and immediately made a move.

nEarthen spikes came up behind Sam as Sivan attacked him from the front. An energy wall appeared behind Sam stopping the spikes from attacking him while he tackled Sivan's punch.

nHe caught it with his own palm and used the force to bend Sivan's arm at the elbow joint making the distance closer.

nThen energy solidified around Sam's peg leg as he took that support and his right leg went straight ahead to deal a blow behind Sivan's knee, making his footing unstable.

nSam then used the chance to twist Sivan's arm while he is falling downwards and used that to hold Sivan in a chokehold before pinning him to the ground.

nBut Sivan didn't panic. Instead, he simply released himself from earth elemental fusion and shifted to the metal before creating spikes from his back.

nSam felt the changes in the energy and understood things wouldn't go well.

nBut he was already prepared, instead of directly leaving, he injected a small strand of energy into the back of Sivan and exploded it with ripple energy.

nSivan's fusion process was disrupted, but the impact is a little higher than Sam expected, which made the hand take some recoil loosening his grip.

nSivan took the chance and made his move. He first escaped and threw another punch at Sam's peg leg with void style.

nThe leg exploded and Sam was thrown off.

n

"The void style is pretty cool Sam. I must really thank you for teaching me this. Even though you didn't teach it to me directly, your body is pretty used to it and constant replaying of the memories of how you destroyed yourself while practicing it, really helped.

nYou are an excellent teacher for a bastard.

nAfter all, as a bastard, all the lessons in your life should have been taught by some pricks who beat the crap out of you, for someone like you to have such an amazing teaching affinity. It is rare, isn't it?

"
