Chapter 154 - Subduing Trash (2)

“Dad, Dad, what are we going to do?” Feng Yanli’s face was crumpled with pain from the fall, but when she heard footsteps coming toward her like a death warrant, she tugged at Father Feng in horror and panic, on the verge of tears.

Father Feng was already scared out of his wits and his forehead was dripping with cold sweat. When Feng Yanli tugged at him, he slapped her in annoyance and roared, “Unfilial daughter, it’s all your fault!”

Father Feng wiped at the cold sweat on his forehead and tried to suppress his panic as he rustled up a wan smile. He looked up at Chi Shuyan, and his heart tightened in fear with that one glance.

Feng Yanli also looked up, before she turned her face away in horror.

Chi Shuyan was holding the knife in her hand. The blade glinted coldly in front of their eyes. Against the light, Chi Shuyan’s beautiful, peerless face was shrouded in shadow; to Father Feng and Feng Yanli, she looked like a devil that had crawled out of hell.

Father Feng, who had been forcing himself to be calm, immediately collapsed. He kowtowed on the ground with snot and tears on his face. “Master, Master, please spare us, spare us. We won’t dare to do it again, never again.”

After Father Feng kowtowed and saw that Chi Shuyan was motionless, he panicked even more. He quickly pulled Feng Yanli from the side and said anxiously, “Yanli, you’re Master’s classmate or friend; hurry and apologize sincerely to Master, and she’ll definitely forgive us.”

Although Feng Yanli was scared, she felt utterly humiliated at begging someone whom she had always looked down on. She also couldn’t bear to see Father Feng acting cowardly.

Somehow, she worked up the nerve to shake off Father Feng’s grip. She looked at Chi Shuyan, pretending to be calm. “You killed someone. Do you know what kind of crime this is in China, especially when you’re a Warlock? Do you think you can hide it? Even if you kill all three of us, do you think the Chinese police are all useless? If you think you can fool the world, you’re simply too naive!”

She swallowed and continued shakily, “We won’t report you. Let us go and we’ll help you deal with it.”

Father Feng’s eyes also lit up when he heard Feng Yanli’s words, thinking that there was room for negotiation.

Chi Shuyan sneered, but her smile suddenly froze. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a flash of light from the dried-up corpse flee swiftly out the window.

Chi Shuyan was a little alarmed. The man wasn’t dead yet. She hurriedly ran over to investigate and frowned. She immediately understood that this black-robed Warlock must have escaped like a cicada shedding its shell.

While she was feeling vexed, Father Feng and Feng Yanli looked at each; it seemed she was afraid of the truth being exposed.

Feng Yanli was immediately emboldened. She got to her feet and threatened, “Many people don’t know that China has established a special department which strictly manages matters related to Warlocks. It just so happens that my dad knows some people related to the special department. If you let us go, we can leave this matter alone and won’t divulge the fact that you’ve killed someone. But if you dare kill us…”

Feng Yanli’s remaining words came to a screeching halt, her eyes incredulous. She stared in horror as Chi Shuyan swung her palm at the corpse, which suddenly turned to ash.

“Thank you for your concern, but I can take care of it myself.” Chi Shuyan suddenly turned her head with a bright smile on her face, but her beautiful eyes were filled with sharp ruthlessness.

Feng Yanli’s face drained of all color and she watched in horror as Chi Shuyan walked over step by step. She pointed a trembling finger at Chi Shuyan, unable to speak and her eyes filled with terror. Her legs gave way and she directly slumped to the ground.

Father Feng also fell into a frightened stupor. When he came back to his senses, he slapped Feng Yanli until her head jerked to the side, then immediately kowtowed and begged for mercy.

Chi Shuyan’s smile grew brighter and brighter, but there wasn’t the slightest bit of warmth in her eyes, which were bone-chillingly cold. There was a cruel sneer on her red lips as she enunciated each word, “Don’t you guys like to borrow luck? I’ll help you borrow it!”

She would be letting them off easily if she just let them die like this! Didn’t they like luck? She would borrow plenty for them.

Father Feng and Feng Yanli turned deathly pale when they heard these malicious words.

Chi Shuyan didn’t care about their screams and pleas at all. She plucked a strand of hair from each of them and did what the black-robed Warlock had done.

Watching Chi Shuyan’s movements in horror, Feng Yanli’s eyes rolled up and she fainted from fright, while Chi Shuyan directly knocked out Father Feng, who was shouting on the side.
