nShe was a gorgeous woman.
nDressed in a fire-engine red dress.
nBlack hair flowing behind her head, a peach blossom symbol on the space between her brows—she was undeniably alluring and sexy.
nWorried that she would disturb Su Huiqing, the driver immediately got out of the car.
nBut she arrogantly pushed the driver aside, knocking him onto the side of the car!
nHer lips curled up, the expression on her face scornful and mocking.
nSu Huiqing was sitting in the innermost seat. With her head lowered, no one could see her face clearly, but they could feel the obvious chill exuding from her body.
nQu Yan was seated on the outer side of Su Huiqing. Seeing the red-clad woman pushing the driver away, she stomped her foot angrily and got out of the car.
nShe stepped out. “Are you looking for a fight?!”
nThe red-clad woman tossed her sunglasses aside.
nAnd grabbed Qu Yan’s forearm.
nQu Yan had been tagging alongside Su Huiqing the past few months. From how Chi Qing and the gang have progressed so far, it could be seen just how good Su Huiqing’s mentorship skills were.
nHowever, Qu Yan was currently still not a match for this red-clad woman.
nWith one lazy flick of her hand, the red-clad woman managed to toss Qu Yan far away. Her manner remained contemptuous and lofty. “You are not good enough to fight with me.”
nGu Li had also gotten out of the car, and his expression instantly changed. He reached out to catch Qu Yan.
n“Who the hell are you?” Gu Li stopped Qu Yan who was about to retort. He narrowed his eyes at the red-clad woman.
nHe could clearly feel that this woman was very powerful. Scarily so.
n“I already said you two are not good enough to know.” The red-clad woman replied impatiently.
nShe once again glanced into the car and repeated. “Are you Su Huiqing?”
nSu Huiqing finally lifted her head and stepped off the car. Her slender figure appeared right in front of the woman.
nShe reached up and took off her earphones.
nSu Huiqing instantly recognized this red-clad woman. Her eyes dimmed. “Peach blossom symbol… Sorceress Tao Zhuo?”
nHer tone was edged with ice.
nSorceress Tao Zhuo.
nSu Huiqing had never met her before and only heard about her from the City Lord of the International Battlefield. Sorceress Tao Zhuo had a peach blossom symbol between her brows and bizarrely powerful skills.
nShe was notorious among the international rankings.
n“That’s right, I am Sorceress Tao Zhuo.” Tao Zhuo lifted her chin smugly. She was considered a rare talent for attaining her achievements at this age. “Seems like you have heard of me.”
nSu Huiqing just nodded calmly. “It’s good that it’s you.”
nShe slowly tucked her earphones back inside her pocket, before indicating at Qu Yan and the driver. “Apologize.”
nSilence.
n“You want me to apologize to this bunch of ordinary folks?” Tao Zhuo narrowed her eyes. “Do you know who you are talking to?!”
n“Do you know who you are talking to?” Su Huiqing threw her own question back at her. She lifted her gaze as she adjusted her jacket.
nHer jaws were clenched tight, her eyes as frosty as the snow under the winter moon.
nShe reached out and grabbed Tao Zhuo by the neck.
nHer speed was fast beyond belief.
nTao Zhuo was internationally renowned and very skilled, ranking among the top few in the International Battlefield.
nHowever…
nSu Huiqing was not inferior to her in any way.
nEven though Su Huiqing’s body was different now and she was not at her peak, she hadn’t been touted as the King for nothing.
nBy the time the chief detective hurried over, he saw Tao Zhuo being gripped by the neck by Su Huiqing.
n“Ms. Su!” His face changed as he rushed up and bowed respectfully. “Please have mercy on Tao Zhuo.”
n“She’s one of yours?” Su Huiqing loosened her grip slightly, glancing sideways at chief detective.
nHer expression remained clear as always.
nChief detective nodded.
n“Apologize if you don’t wish to die.” Su Huiqing turned back and uttered coldly.
nHer eyes were chilly as she stared at Tao Zhuo. It was like she was looking at a dead person.
nShe was not showing any mercy.
nTao Zhuo’s heart jumped. The plum blossom between her brows wrinkled together. “Sor… sorry.”
nSu Huiqing let go, a malevolent light flashing past her eyes. “Remember, you are not better than any other person. If you wish to continue living, don’t do this again.”
nShe helped the driver to the backseat before driving away.
nAfter she left, Tao Zhuo looked at the chief detective angrily. “Why didn’t you help me? It’s because of this person, that boss…”
n“Alright now.” Chief detective glared stonily at Tao Zhuo. “If not for me, you would have already been dead meat.”
nHe knew Su Huiqing’s character better than anyone else.
n“Why are you helping an outsider?!” Tao Zhuo didn’t understand why the chief detective behaved in this manner toward Su Huiqing.
nYu Shijin’s men never interfered with the International Association. They were not particularly powerful, but they were extremely loyal toward Yu Shijin.
nThey never backed down, not even when facing off with those highly-skilled practitioners from the Yu Family.
nThis was the first time she saw the chief detective behave so humbly toward another person.
nChief detective didn’t answer but just pressed a button on his communications device. He spoke in a mild tone, “Boss, she is beside me now.”
nThe other party replied in a very grave voice.
nSharp, cool, intimidating.
n“Sorceress Tao Zhuo, you’ve got some nerve.”
nChief detective was not at all surprised. “Master Yu, what should I do with Tao Zhuo now?”
n“Never mind.” Yu Shijin’s clear voice came through the communications device. “I am back.”
nThe whirling sounds of a motor sounded through the air.
nThe expressions of chief detective and Tao Zhuo underwent a major change as they looked up.
nA helicopter was hovering in mid-air. Before anyone could let down the ladder, a tall, straight figure leapt off.
nHe was clad in his usual solemn black, one hand braced against the ground. His dark eyes were fixed on Tao Zhuo.
nLips tightly pursed, his eyes were full of malevolence. The corners of his lips curled up viciously. “Who gave you the information?”
n
