nAfter Yu Shijin had said his piece, a black car stopped right beside him.

nIt was a black car with a golden orchid flower painted on it.

nThe car slowly drove to the main road.

nHalf an hour later.

nOld Master Yu walked Su Huiqing to the door. “I will get someone to send the herbs over to the Su Residences later.”

n“Thank you.” Su Huiqing swung her backpack over her shoulders and raised her hand to cover her eyes from the sun. “I have already transferred the money to Xiangyang’s bank account.”

nUpon hearing that, Old Master Yu slightly furrowed his eyebrows, unhappy at it. “Why did you pay for the herbs?”

n“Yeah, the herbs are a gift from me to you…” Yu Xiangyang cut into the conversation.

n“Grandpa Yu.” Su Huiqing turned her head slightly, her pitch-black hair turning into a faint golden color under the sun. “That’s a horse of a different color,” said Su Huiqing in an extremely calm and peaceful tone of voice.

nShe looked at Old Master Yu and stuffed her hands into her pocket.

nSeeing her persistence, Yu Xiangyang could say nothing more to persuade her.

nGrandpa Yu fell silent before helplessly nodding his head. “Alright, when the time comes…”

nHowever, before he could finish his sentence, a black car stopped on the other side of the street with a screech!

nA loud honk filled the air.

nAlthough they could only see the side of the car, the orchid flower on the car door was still visible to them.

nSu Huiqing narrowed her eyes as she casually turned around to look at the car.

nThe car door slowly opened and a slender yet masculine figure stepped out. Despite the warmth of the sun, his face was as fair and cold as a piece of icy-cold jade. He was dressed in a neat, black polo shirt with the first button of his shirt loose.

nWith the strong sun shining on him, he looked towards them and slowly revealed his face to them.

nHis entire body reflected the faint radiance of the sun, making him look a little mysterious.

nSu Huiqing suddenly turned serious and stood upright as she raised her eyes to meet his own.

nBoth of their eyes were equally dark.

nAnd equally… mysterious.

nWith a bunch of cars separating them, Yu Shijin lowered his gaze and narrowed his eyes. He still had his hand placed on the car door. “Miss Su, are you free to talk now?”

nHis voice sounded a little deep and casual.

nSu Huiqing did an ‘Ok’ sign before turning over to face Yu Xiangyang and Qu Yan. “Uhm… Sorry. I initially wanted to train with you guys, but we need to postpone it to next week.”

nSince she had already decided, Yu Xiangyang and Qu Yan naturally went along with her.

nStanding on the opposite end of the road, Yu Shijin leaned his body forward as he stood in front of the car door. He watched that blue figure casually jump over the railing with a backpack in her hands and then cross the road.

n“Let’s go.” She threw her backpack into the car and turned her head slightly to face the chauffeur. “Start the car.”

nThe chauffeur stepped on the gas and the black car drove into the crowd.

nThe black car left.

nYu Xiangyang saw the dazed look on his grandpa’s face and could not help but raise his eyebrows. “Grandpa, have you gone nuts?”

n“You have gone nuts!” Old Master Yu harshly hit the back of his head before glancing back at the direction which Su Huiqing left. “It’s actually him! This brat is really not simple…”

nSince he had lowered his voice when he said the last sentence, Yu Xiangyang wasn’t able to hear it. He glanced at him as he said, “Do you know that man?”

n“I have gone nuts, so I know nothing!” Old Master Yu glared at him before leaving the scene with his hands clasped behind his back.

nAs he turned around, his blurry eyes glistened.

n–

nAt a private restaurant.

nBoth of them sat opposite each other.

nSu Huiqing picked up her chopsticks and dug in after seeing the wide array of dishes on the table.

nYu Shijin, on the other hand, sat still with his chopsticks and a bowl of rice still left untouched.

nHe hooked his arm on the back of his chair while he played with the black lighter in his hands.

nHe wore an indifferent expression on his face, making him look a little cold. A sense of nobility filled every breath that he took.

nHowever, Su Huiqing could not see his expression as he had his head lowered.

nSu Huiqing placed her chopsticks down with a ‘Pa!’ and then took a napkin to clean her mouth. Gently leaning against her chair, she asked, “May I know what’s your purpose for finding me?”

nYu Shijin’s fingers froze, and he raised his eyes before slowly forcing three words out of his mouth. “To thank you.”

nSu Huiqing raised her eyebrows then pushed her chair backward, which then caused a screeching sound.

nWith one hand stuffed in her pocket, she casually walked to Yu Shijin’s side.

nShe slowly bent down.

nBoth of them were back facing the window. With the sun rays seeping through the window, its warmth engulfed Su Huiqing’s body. She coldly curled her lips up and leaned down towards him. Yet, despite seeing her face in proximity, he still could not see a single pore on her face.

nBecause of the proximity, both of them could feel each other’s warm breaths.

n‘Shua—’

nSu Huiqing took the document that rested under Yu Shijin’s phone and went back to her seat to read it.

n“You want to cooperate with the Su Corporation?” She slightly raised her eyebrows after reading the document.

nShe lowered her eyes to meet Yu Shijin’s deep ones.

nPlacing his hand on the table, Yu Shijin raised his eyes and quietly stared at her. “Yup. The Su Family is the most suitable candidate I could find. Besides, this contract will solve your tough times.”

n“The Su Family can make it through even without this contract,” said Su Huiqing in an indifferent voice. She then stood up and closed the document.

n“I know.” Stumped by her answer, Yu Shijin tried to explain. “I do not doubt your abilities. I just feel that the Su Family suits…”

nSu Huiqing retracted her gaze and stuffed the document into her bag before decisively saying, “Alright.”

nHer decisiveness caught Yu Shijin by surprise.

nSu Huiqing glanced at him and put her hand out. “May we have a pleasant cooperation.”

nThe sun rays seeped through the window and onto her fair and slender hand, making it seem more beautiful than ever.

nYu Shijin stood up and shook her hand.

nHis hand felt a little cold.

nSu Huiqing retracted her own. She then carried her backpack before proceeding to the door. With her beautiful and pure face tilted towards the ground, she gave off a very cool vibe.

nYu Shijin stood at the door and looked at her elegant departing figure.

nAfter she had completely disappeared from his sight, the door to the opposite suite opened.

nA tall and masculine figure, who was wearing golden-framed glasses, sauntered out. He raised his head, his deep blue eyes glistening while the white ribbon tied on his wrist gently swaying as the wind blew against it.

nYu Shijin turned around and calmly looked at him. “Now that you have seen her, what do you… think?”

n
